yesterday on our walk

Lisa, Glad you had such a nice weekend. You must be very proud indeed!! I love the Monarch pic
I would love to go out west too, such fascinating scenery. I flew out to LA on Freddie Laker's Sky Train back around 1980 and we caught the Greyhound bus all the way back to the east coast, sleeping in the bus every other night and finding a hotel on the other nights. It was tiring but I was in my 20's then so had more energy!! I did see the Grand Canyon but it was sooo long ago.

Lisa, Beautiful pics as usual. Glad you had a good weekend.
Lizzysmom, I remember when I was young and stupid. I drove from Illinois straight through (almost) to Texas to visit one of my best friends from H.S. I had no air in the car and it was in the middle of July. I made it to Texarkana, Ark. before I stopped. I thought I would die of heat and humidity when I made it to Texas. Then horror of horrors my radio went out. Then I really was in a crisis. LOL My friends husband worked on it while I was there and got it working again and on my way home the radio went out about five minutes after leaving their home. Can you believe I made it there and back with NO sense of direction and certainly no GPS in the dark ages. LOL Oh yes to be young and naïve. Those were the days.

BW, oh yes to be young and naive, I had an old car as a student and was driving on a highway in a rainstorm . All of a sudden a rush of water soaked me, hair, clothes, everything..I looked down and could see the pavement..Part of the floor had caved in due to rust. I would be horrified now but then I just kept on driving....
-
Love those stories about young and naive! My first Husband and I were going away for our first weekend in the country together and my old Vanguard station wagon's accelerator cable gave out, we bought a hood lock cable from a garage and fed it through, winding it around the pedal with pliers, it worked a treat!
-
Had my six month follow up mammogram today. All was clear. I went out to take some pics to celebrate after feeling poorly all weekend. It was good to get outside.
-
Isn't it funny what we put up with when we were younger. It makes me smile knowing that we are all alike no matter what part of the world we live in.
-
Loving that Bird,
-
Congratulations on the all clear, Bandwoman! Lovely shots!
-
Thank you ladies. It is 1am and I would say way past my bedtime. I am actually considering not taking any cancer drugs at all. I never thought I would say that but after talking quite a long time with the radiologist today I just might consider it. Of course I want to confer with my MO after I get results from my abdominal ultrasound on Thursday. Good night all. Ariom what time is it in your part of the world now?

Hi Nancy, it is 6.30pm Tuesday evening here. I mowed the lawns and planted herbs today, had a massage and I am just about to prepare dinner.
It is 3.30am Tuesday morning for you, I believe. Sleep well!

-
Lisa, beautiful pics.
Nancy C. I have been wanting to see the red rocks for a long time. Maybe I can live vicariously through you for now!
Ariom, Thanks for clarifying the time difference. Wow, sounds like you did a full day of work for sure and then a massage. You deserved it.
-
I had a glorious day today. Weather was perfect and I felt good for a change. My fun day consisted of taking these pics in my free time.
-
The first thing is that you felt better. I am so happy for you. .I just love the butterflies!
-
Thanks Lisa. The true test is what happens after eating dinner. I am keeping my fingers crossed. -
Just a few Sedona pictures from today
-
Nancy C, Such beautiful country. I am envious. You are obviously having a great time. Keep the pics coming.

Those are so pretty!
-
In my nearby travels today. Nancy C, this is the closest thing to a red rock I could find. LOL
Two Canada geese practicing their synchronized swimming routine.
And a white egret in a tree trying to sleep while this crazy woman on the ground is disturbing him with all the picture taking!
And a lowly grasshopper wondering what in the world I was doing!
-
you are getting some great shots...
-
these two look like they are posing for me..
-
Thanks Lisa. I sure am enjoying this camera. When I go back to my SLR it is going to seem so heavy.
Your shore birds are so cute. Love those pics.
-
-
What a beautiful pic. What kind of flower is that? It doesn't even look real it is so perfect!
-
We call them plumeria but others call them frangipani..they come in other colors..
-
I love these Lisa, I have one that I want to plant out in the garden. It has been in a pot for a year or more. I have tried to plant these before but they end up suffering from rot.
