It's stunning and I'm jealous (but in a good way) -
It is so wonderful to wake up to a beautiful view Ariom. Your view is gorgeous!
I work and see what is below, out my home office window. Good morning All.

Love the shot of the Cactus in Tuscon and that beach in California is inviting!

Gardengumby – this is such a cool idea for a thread! I am so
envious of the fishing pics. DH would be in pure fisherman HEAVEN!!! And to
have dolphins as your playmates? So awesome. I adore Washington – such beauty there… and
you sure do travel, don’t you!Lisa – glad to see you are posting “OUR” hummer pics. I
never tire of seeing them! What sharp colors on those balloons! Love the softness
and the complexity of the pink rose. Crazy moon! And in all the years I lived
in San Diego, I NEVER saw it framed by snow-covered mountains! Gorgeous!Barbe – LOVE the Fall colors. In fact, that has been one of
DH’s dream trips forever – to travel back to New England to see the Fall
colors. We don’t have much of a Fall, much less colors here in California,
unless you go up to the higher elevations.Ariom – watch out for the U-Haul (moving) truck parked in
your driveway. I think I am coming to live with you.GmaFoley – I think I would never get any work done if I had
that view to look at all day long!Holeinone – Isn’t THAT an amazing shot!
~ ~ ~
As for shooting the moon, I just point and shoot. I have a
little Canon Power Shot camera, that has a 100 page User Manual I’ve never
read. But the night we took the moon shot, DH suggested I change the ISO
setting, which really didn’t make much of a difference. I did, though, use a
tripod. (We discovered I also need a cable, since just the movement of taking
the pic shook the tripod.) I took about
60 shots, some with different zooms, some with flash, some without. I threw out
the crummy ones. Thank goodness for digital images! -
For example, this moon pic was just a fluke. We were staying at a motel on the Grapevine (on the way to Southern California) and I went out to the car to get my pillow. Looked up, saw the moon, got my camera, and shot it. Didn't even look at it til the next day. Imagine what I could do with a REAL camera!!!

Country Sunset....
unfortunately, these are most brilliant when the sky is full of smoke from nearby wildfires....
-
here is the whole panoramic of San Diego with snow..an amazing day
-
What wonderful photos here!! I love the moon shots and those Kangaroos and Koalas are priceless. I have one somewhere that I took in the winter at the zoo in New England of a pair of Kangaroos in the snow, poor things.
A couple of pics from my yard here and I'll never pass up an opportunity to post a pic of my doggy. I added a lens flare effect to the bleeding heart to give it light instead of , well, bleeding, also added a bit of a glow to my doggy.
Changed computers so most of my favorites need to be gathered together again. Things have been a bit disorganized this year!!

Lovely shot Lisa!
-
Lizzysmom and Lisa, just beautiful!
Blessings, I know that color too well, we have terrible bush fires here too and the smoke hangs in the air, giving everything an eerie look. Your Moon shot is fantastic!

-
SocalLisa.
Have sent you a PM for exact location. Xx
-
Ruthbru, Love sunflowers. They always make me smile.
Wintersox, So picturesque. Lovely. Kind of makes me homesick. Was born in UK and I think this is more like what DH expected the first time he went there with me. He imagined it would all be cobbled streets and thatched roofs, and he got bungalows and motorways LOL. Oh My, I have been in US a long time, almost typed highways!
-
one of the places we visited in England..we were there a few times..loved it
-
Thanks, Lisa.Ruth, I love those sunflowers!! and Wintersocks, what cool pictures those are.
-
these are the pix I took of the "red" moon this spring
-
Thanks for all the great pictures. I feel like I just took a mini vacation around the world
