We were lucky in that after a year of in country Vietnam duty, my husband came home safely. He was then sent to Madrid Spain for 4 years and we accompanied him there. This was in the 1970s. No digital cameras then so I didn't take many photos. In the past 20 years we've done a lot of traveling with the exception of 4 years when I dealt with breastcancer and aftereffects. So I have been taking digital photos like they were going out of style. I get so much enjoyment from it. Nice to be retired.
