So sorry to have missed out. GS#2 is feeling better, rough day for nana. How was the food?
-
We missed you. Food was delicious. I ate all of mine while the others all took half home. But, in my defense, they all had more food on their plates than I!
-
-
Nice to see your faces!! Patoo, that is a good-looking son you have.
-
Thanks glennie. He has cerebral palsy (uses a walker) and doesn't get out much except to go to work (at Disney) so thought I would let him tag along since he lives not too far from there.
-
My life is a blur. I can't believe this just went right past me! Hopefully I will be making a semi retirement decision soon.. My job is very demanding and I got caught up in it. You guys look like you had fun! Next time ... I promise!
-
we missed you but we understand. Take care and good luck on your decision to retire. I am perm disabled for the past two years and I don't miss working at all.
Auror
-
Didn't do it the proper way. Told my boss to take this job and shove it. After 23+ years, that felt good. Haven't worked since, retirement is GREAT!!!!
-
Another plug here for retirement!
-
I made it to the lunch But I completely forgot I had another appt after and went home. I blame my memory on chemo effects! Remembered it at 9 PM
-
So sorry Lynn I hope you were able to reschedule the appointment. It was great meeting you and hope we can repeat it sometome.
Aurora
-
Sorry Lynn. Hope it was not too inconvenient to reschedule. It was great meeting you and hope we can do it again.
-
wasn't a problem. I just hate that I can't remember stuff! CRS!
-
I'd like to join you if you have another gathering.
-
I'm sure we will, put this on your favorites for updates!!
-
has everyone heard of Shipt? They will shop, for you at publix and deliver,it to your door. It is available I orlanod and other Florida areas. I tried to get Publix to do this for years but no luck. Just that they were testing it Orlando. I remember how hard it was to drag myself around publix when I was in chemo. Not to mention probably one of the worst places for catching some stray germ
-
I meant testing in Atlanta
-
They have it here in Tampa - I was in Publix the other day and saw a guy with the Shipt shirt and some bags running around shopping. I used to live in Virginia and they had the same type of service there - called Peapod, they drove green VW Beetles.
-
publix used to have peapod when my kids were little. Used it a lot. But they stopped. Primarily cause of the liabilty of sending people into strangers homes. I wrote shirt and suggested a BC discount. Remember how hard it was to go grocery shopping while doing chemo. It would be the best gift you could give to a BC patient!
-
I didn't do chemo but can imagine how difficult everyday tasks like grocery shopping must be if you don't have someone to help. That being said, I just can't get my head around someone else shopping for me. Back in NJ some supermarkets had the peapod service where you placed your order but you picked it up at the store, they didn't deliver and even that I could not bring myself to take advantage. Maybe because I pick up an item then compare to other items, price, ingredients, etc. How can someone choose my fresh veggies? What if the grapes are not sweet, can I complain, send them back? Guess I'm just picky!
