Welcome back HomeMom. Now you have me trying to figure out how to swing a trip to Paris!
-
great pics!!! Looked a wee bit chilly??
So very happy you had a great time! Well deserved!
We just booked a trip to Scotlan for June.
-
UGH. Had my booby check/mammogram on Wednesday and now I have to go for a biopsy on Monday. I feel NOTHING where there is concern. I feel nothing anywhere. The girl from the BS office said to get the films to them and they will decide if they even have to do one. Shit.
If it is anything, I'm getting that nipple sparing mastectomy with immediate recon.....if I can. No more mammos!
-
(((HomeMom))) UGH!!
-
I talked to the PA in my MO's office. She said not to freak out because she spoke to the radiologist and he said there was no discernible mass, just a hazy area. She said given my history they are just being extra careful. Monday we will see. I'm not as worried now for some reason.
-
ok, good. Hoping it is nothing!
-
Homemom, Hope it is nothing, but I had. BMX, nipple sparing, with reconstruction - expanders and implants. So happy I made that decision. Let's pray it is just a shadow!
-
Homemom / thinking of you and voting formuch adu over nothing
-
I will feel like a real idiot if it is this - You know how you're not supposed to put on deodorant, or any creams lotions etc before your mamo? Well, I was putting the scare cream on my mx boob and absentmindedly started to put it on the scars from the enhancement on my other boob. I realized what I did so I took some soap and water then wiped it off. I may not have gotten it all and that could be creating the "hazy" area. I'll find out tomorrow if she does the US and sees nothing. I am also a little peeved off that Sand Lake did not give me films, just the US CD. Hope this isn't an issue.
If it is the slightest bit of BC, I'm going with the mx. Screw this chit!!
PS Drinking wine...

HomeMom- Sending positive thoughts your way. Enjoy your wine... big hugs.

Hi Aurora,
Just diagnosed with IDC and would be interested joining this Get-Together Forum. I live outside Tampa so Plant City would be close to me. Pls email me date and time.
Thank you and take care.....Yolanda
-
Welcome Yolanda!
Well I went for my biopsy and it was totally painless, unlike the first time. My BS isn't very concerned that it will be positive for bc. She thinks it is fat necrosis from my surgery in December. They will have the answer by the end of the week and will call me. Her PA was also very upbeat about it and they both would be very surprised if it came back positive. Sooooo......I'm pretty much relaxed now! Thanks for all the positive vibes!!

YAY for good news, HomeMom!
-
Home mom-whew!!!

runDisney 5K, 10k, half-marathon, full marathon and another crazy people race (don't remember the name right now) for January 2017 registration opens noon tomorrow for anyone who may be interested. I'm trying register for the 5k which goes through Epcot.
-
Well, blocked again as it sold out within an hour! They really need a better system but I'm sure Disney really does not care. Too bad for those people who don't have access to a computer during the day. Guess runners (and walkers) sit with their browser open and ready to click on 'register' the second registration opens. Phooey!
-
Wow, are you serious?? crazy.
-
been off the site for awhile, but can't believe nothing posted for a whole month on this board!! We have moved to our rental house, in Sugarmill Woods, Homosassa, and will stay til the end of the year when our new one will be ready. Am trying to adjust to the daily heat, and the new lifestyle...will be starting to look for new Drs in the area/Tampa area... let me know if there are any meet ups planned!
-
Hi Aviva and welcome to Florida I too have been wondering when we will have a next meet . Shout out to all members! When shall we meet
-
Hi, haven't been on the boards too much lately. I'm probably going to have to pass on any meetup in June as have family down and other things going on. Please don't let me stop others, however, from meeting.
Welcome aviva!

Hello Central FL sisters!
I hope everyone is doing well! I am on my way to Scotland next week for a nice vacation. I am scheduled to have lymphnode transfer surgery on Aug. 24. I am really keeping my fingers crossed that this will improve the lymphedema in my arm. This heat and humidity are really giving me fits. I'm sure the surgery will go fine, I just have to deal with those dreaded drains again!
-
Enjoy your trip.
-
Enjoy your trip jBokland and I'll be praying for your surger
-
Oh so sorry I missed this. Hope she got off safe and has a successful surgery. I came in to see how everyone is doing and check with Jeanette and her wife after the horrific shooting we experienced this weekend.
I have three sons, my middle one is gay and very well could have been there at Pulse if he had not moved to California a couple years ago. Ironically, Sunday was his birthday and the time he was born was 1:50am. Every year he celebrates with friends by having a shot of tequila at 1:50 to celebrate. I know he would have been toasting his birthday minutes before this creation walked in. I don't think he knew anyone who died, but my youngest son knew the 23 year old, Stanley Almodovar who he went to high school with.
-
Hi HomeMom, yes it is a sad day when the lives of young people are taken by criminals like this one. Grateful your sons are safe I'm sure. All of us who live in Orlando can't help thinking "could've been me, (my son, daughter etc) " . My daughter is too busy with her life to go clubbing anymore, but on the rare occasions she gets out, I always pray for her safety. May God help the families and the victims who survived, may they find peace and comfort in whatever their spiritual beliefs are.Aurora

Been off the boards for a long time and I'm just checking in to see how everyone is doing. Life has been a little rough last several months but I keep going! Will try to do better about reading the posts!

Hi Ibrewer things around this particular thread have been slow as well. I've been doing great I'm in a new treatment and responding really well without too many side effects.
It's been a while since we met in person and would like to see if we can put together a new meeting.
Hope that you are doing well.
Aurora

I drove to Loews today to get some dirt. Passed by a funeral home holding a service for a shooting victim. Really makes you think about your priorities.
-
