100 Days of Gratitude

Trying to play catch-up again
Day 80: grateful I reread some emails, have pre-employment tomorrow morning at 8 am and just reread that they want us there an hour early. I would have blown it as they sent me a total of 9 emails, with one change on each one so I missed that part
Day 81: grateful the morning mess is over! Over 400 people showed up, we didn't start til 8:30 because there were so many people. So, stood in line to get in, took the test (it was easy, just basics in math, grammar/word usage, spelling, but the stress of the situation, having only 4 hours of sleep, being timed, and it being so early and I'm not a morning person as some of you know from the Insomniacs thread), literally stood around for over an hour while they graded the scantrons (hardly any seating outside) and they read out a list who passed (well over 200 passed), stood in line again, completed a pre-background investigation info packet, stood in line yet again, then we met individually with a rep to determine the likelihood of us being accepted for the next step, background investigation (that's when I found out there are only 5 openings and that my chances are better than most to continue in the process). All this for an entry level position! Sad state of the economy! Was there a total of 5-1/2 hours! Grateful for the restful nap in the afternoon!
Day 82: grateful I had a place to go last night when DH was in a piss-poor angry, mean mood and I was his target. The time away from the stress felt good
Lovewins and Red: CONGRATS to both of you for completing rads!
Cheryl, you have great neighbors!
Welcome Heidi and Alex!

Day #83
Today I am grateful for a clearer mind because of a tough decision finally made. Once made, I was able to sleep last night, and woke up this morning feeling good about it. Yay!!

-
That was a lot to go thru 2TA...I hope you get the job!
Thanks for your well wishes.
Good for you Red, I find that when I make a decision and then feel peace about it I know I have made the right choice.
Today I am grateful for my long term disability check...I didn't even know they would pay me when I went to work PT. I gratefully gave my bf half because he has taken care of all the house hold bills since Sept...I am grateful for that too.
-
Hi, all I am grateful to call myself a one year survivor. It feels good to be alive
-
Cheryl - happy birthday !!
Sometimes it is difficult to find anything to be grateful for even when things are going reasonably well, I really need to get rid of this funk!
OK so I am grateful today that I have maintained my patience with my son, against what seems like insurmountable odds!
-
-
Thank you all for the birthday wishes, it's been a wonderful day and I am grateful that today I celebrated my 64th birthday dancing to a disco song, not as I did back in the day but still I'm dancing and that makes me happy.
-
Happy Birthday Cheryl!!!!! So glad you have had a wonderful day! Can you send your neighbour over to clean my car for me? You got to love that man!!.....lol.
I am so far behind, I can't remember how many days.......too many. Let me just say that I am grateful that my return trip to the city was productive and I arrived home safely, the days are warm and the nights are cool....perfect Autumn weather and today I am grateful that the PT who worked on me yesterday rang this morning to check how I was feeling.....good man but there are many more treatments in the pipeline.
-
Day 83: grateful I could my appt to find out results of colonoscopy and endoscopy from next week to tomorrow.
Red, glad decision is made and you feel better!

Onco, 4 laps without falling is quite an accomplishment! I couldn't do 1
Hang in Nel, it gets better

Day 4: grateful to Ruth Wakefield, inventor of chocolate chip cookies, my breakfast today.

Day #84

Maddy good luck!
-
Day 5: Grateful for the people I have in my life : )
-
I'm grateful I live in a place where neighbors help neighbors when they are having difficulties.
-
grateful for my girlfriends' advice
-
Grateful, my son (20) and his girlfriend are taking my daughter (15) and her new beau (17) out to eat with them tonight. It means I can go to zumba, and not leave the young teens home alone! Which I wouldn't do so would have to miss zumba!!
-
Day 84: today I am extremely grateful I get to close a long, sad chapter in my life: I get to say goodbye to the fear of cancer! Have been putting off colonoscopy for years (stupid, I know, my fear of IV's is of phobic proportions) but that and endoscopy are good (a polyp in stomach and colon and left untreated might have been a problem so I'm on the 5-year plan). This isn't to say cancer can't return, but I plan that it won't. I feel a huge burden has been lifted.
-
grateful I washed my car today...I realized it was the first time since this whirlwind happened in July...and it was d-I-r-t-y!
