Lisa, thought you would recognize them!
-
La Jolla, CA I love listening to waves break and just happened to capture the seal climbing up the rock to sun himself.
-
Philly
-
I love watching the coast at LaJolla too. It is the only place I have seen the green flash at sunset many times
-
I miss the CA coast - Loved the beach as a child. But I wouldn't change back the rat-race for what I have now. I used to live in the Silicone Valley(San Jose, CA). Sunsets and clouds make a great combination.
-
-
I love your garden Chevy, always have. Mine is 5 acres of grass and hillside - Do have fennel, wisteria and Grapes taking over our back yard and one confused rosebush LOL
-
But yout rose is beautiful Grammie! My gardens are always "changing".... Trying to cut back, and make things a little easier to take care of!
That picture was taken last Spring... and Thank you!
-
I took this of a LaJolla sunset..
-
Oh, the colors are soooo rich. Lisa and GMA, your photography is awesom! I've admired both of your photos on other boards.
-
Kathy I must have a million that I have taken. When I was doing chemo I couldn't leave the house for many months so I learned digital photography, computers and genealogy. Then when I could get out I always bring a camera along.
-
Well, I don't know how peaceful it is; but this was the scene around here today. For you California girls, the halo effect is called a Sun Dog, only happens when it is really, really, really cold.
.
-
My son took this photo of the deer that like to linger in our back yard.
-
This is Lacee, and you can see where she was laying, in the snow!
-
Wow, love the sun dog...glad that we don't get the cold weather for one however....lol
the snow falling is great.
when I drove to Coronado this morning to grocery shop a fog bank fell into just the San Diego Bay
then a Coast Guard ship appeared blowing its fog horn..
-
Wow!
-
Lisa, I don't know what happened! I had that picture in my online Picassa account, and when I looked for something to post, I saw "they" had added snow to that picture! It must have been magic! Ha!
I remember driving over the Golden Gate Bridge, and it was COVERED with fog.... so magical....
And flying in circles over San Francisco for an hour, waiting for fog to lift, so we could land....
-
-
I think there's something in the goggle plus photo account that adds stuff. I had a photo of Christmas lights that started to twinkle.
-
I've never much been a fan of fog but Lisa, your fog pics are great. It almost looks like the sun is out, so it's bright, and yet the fog is there. Really pretty.
-
Thanks Marple it was really crazy. The sun was out in San Diego and Coronado but foggy in between on the Bay.
-
Lisa, have you ever captured the green flash. Would love to experience that. Hmm, do I see a trip to San Diego/La Jolla in my future?
Oh, so love the photos on this page!
-
Good Night All!
-
RuthBru, that sundog is awesome! We are in the middle of a deep freeze here in western Pennsylvania and I can appreciate the beauty of that photo. Out temps are subzero........Thank you! Beauty appears in many places...not always warm!
-
I have just seen the green flash a few times..one time I captured the little dome that forms but the green didn't show through
the little thingy on top is really green
-
I thought you all might to like to see sunrise from this morning here in South Australia.
Thanks for sharing as I love seeing all the different pics.
Lisa, the pic that you posted of La Jolla is the one that you printed and gave to me when I was there........I recognized it immediately! I have the one you gave me hanging in my guest bedroom in a position that as soon as I get to the door I see it.
-
Nice to see an Australian sunset Chrissy . Glad you still like that picture from here
-
Memories of summer!
-
I love it when birds put on a show for me
