Yes, Cammi, your typing sucks, but your beauty, charm, wit and sexiness make up for it. You and Chevette are the two roses among us.
Sweetheart and Fullst, just to warn you, we will probably mess with your names and call you other stuff. Phyllisophical started us on this - her name changes every day depending on her moods (she's an ex con - the only one who admits to it, anyway). Now fullst you are just asking for some fun names, and I'll give you your first one: Fullstenita. Keep your spirits up and when you have trouble doing that, check in with us and we'll look after you. Do you want us to slap Ms. Herpes for you?
Howdy to Dwilly and Illy (Illinoislady). Dwills, don't worry too much about the colonoscopy - once you have polyps it's very common for them to do surveillance periodically. I worked in that field for a few years as a Nurse Practitioner - sounds like they have you on a good surveillance program, and yes, every ache, pain and test will have you wondering..... it's a form of post traumatic response - once you get smacked upside down with our diagnosis it's normal to feel the way you do.
Mary, you DGS is precious, just too, too funny. I would LOVE to have a critter like that to hang with.
Well, it's 4:00 am - got up at 3 - can't sleep. My professor is coming to visit my pediatric clinical site today - hope she leaves with an eyeful at what she set me up in! I plan to be perfectly poised, although now I've only had about 4 hours of sleep so hope I am coherant.
Phylette you sound so spunky, it does my heart good to listen to you.
OK - off to the salt mines - boy will I be glad when this day ends! To all of chemo ladies and those having surgeries and procedures, we're in your pocket, so if it gets noisy in there it's only us making the racket.

Goodmorning! picked up MRI report at 7:15 am. It was done yesterday morning. Ct 2 weeks ago showed a 5mm possible hemangioma(tangle of blood vessels). Stacey suggested going on the internet, While I knew lots about hemangiomas, I did learn a few things. 80% are present at birth an are estrogen supported. My little guy could have been present all this time. The difference is identified in the report, by the radiologist. They got a new machine that can pick up smaller 'things". Thats a positive for us all. Thyroid tomorrow.
Our PHillyinthehinterland's computer is down b/c of a storm last night, She's fine
Need to catch up on several pages
HAVE A GREAT DAY, I'm smiling. LOL, If I get up and dressed to go get a report this early, yeah, I was a little worried.
Thanks for everyon's concern. sassy
Welcome newbies!
-
Sas, I know you are so relieved.BIG sigh.
-
Do we have DUBS or BUGS?
-
What?!?! I thought I got caught up and posted one sentence and suddenly there is another whole page!
-

-
Sas, glad your report was okay. I'll be with you and Gma as you get tested tomorrow..
Shell, hope your prof pays attention to your environment...and gives you extra credit for sticking it out!
The rest of you Hoolies, have a good day. -
CkickaD clueless about the eyetwitch, but sounds like Sweet Pea has a handle on it. Your Furbaby is so sweet. We had two litters of Brittany's in 1981 &1982. Lots of furballs 21(10 & 11) little ones
OHHHHh wish I had the fortitude to do it again. So, nice that your bonding so young.
Flowers & April, remember this phrase after they start the IV "May I have the Happy juice now?" If they say not yet. Tell'em your really anxious, that usually works. LOVE that Versed. Used with 99% of all sx's. Same family as Valium, Xanax,Ativan, etc, but besides being OH sO relaxing, it also has an amnesic(forgetting effect). Lovely drug. LOVELY. I get to have it for a colonoscopy on my B-day. Melt into the bed relaxation. HMMMMMM.
Wren, what fun, sounds like an old fashioned 4th--oddles of happy memories --nice. Loved it when the cherries came in season. We had one bing and one sour red. The bing tree was so great for climbing.
Maryblushingcheeks, ohhh that GS ROTFALOL. hAPPY DAY ON GETTING YOUR PORCH:)

Someone say pocket party? I'm in!

Yay! Got my stupid modem reset. Now, WTH was that thing Foley posted? I couldn't even read the title !(thank you cami). I hope it comes with a translation. Don't worry though, I will read it and report back so you don't have to read it yourselves. Or I could take a nap!
I'm feeling a bit better today but labs at 1:30pm. I'll probably need a fghfhfvfvghffrguuhgfg!!! Neupogen shot.
Now I must go say a prayer over my new 'puter and hope it didn't get fried in the storm last night. -
SHELLSHINER, "EVERYTHING'S COMING UP ROSES". Feels just like a JACHO visit?
Checked in with Blondie, "doing okay, but still gets short of breath". Busy schedule hasn't been able to check in. Wanted you all to know she's thinking of you. She'll check in when she can.
Chevy,I ditto Cami
Cami it'll make Chevy crazy trying to figuire out what the ditto is LOL. Are you still walking? You got me exercising everyday girlfriend. Thanks. I feel allot better.
I have to give KUDOS to my Radiologist again. He knew my mets concern. Twice in the MRI he reported --no evidence of metastatic disease. Stated that "No definite lesion can be identified on TS or STIR sequence , which is quite sensitive for metastaic lesions" No idea what TS and STIR mean, but his words sound good
I always ask for him to read films. It seems as if he's directing his words right to me. Makes me feel safe when he's the reader
-
Sas Can I have your radiologist???

StacyLeeH - Son of a Gun! I am still on the "cannot sleep" train too. What a crock! Cannot sleep all night nd must nap during the day. HATE THIS! That said, except for the persistent joint pain and stiffness, I am almost symptom free as I head into surgery next week, thank God!
Welcome fullst and all of you other new Sister Warriors. And SweetHeartinTX - WOW! Sharks are not my kind of fun either. I am glad you do get to watch and hear the waves though. I watch the spa bubble and gurgle in the pool here!

-
Did I miss something? Who got married?
-
Yeah...who got married? Without us?
-
Good news today on this thread for Sas and Phylogoodbloodwork--YaY And Chicki u should know better stop doing those things.
Had lunch with my GFs at one of the houses and 2 of them had the carpel tunnel operation so for like 10 minutes they showing their scars saying which one was worse and who hurt more, it was so silly so I picked up my shirt and showed my concave scarred up chest and said STFU and we laughed like crazy.
Then my Gf took me to the hospital for my Pt and i did the best I could but she did go easy on me, I had a wonderful massage on my spine of course shd said it was a mess and it wouldn't heal but maybe I could be made more comfortable--if she massaged me 24 hrs a day yes it might work and I told her so. I just have to get used to chronic pain and live with it for now anyway. I've got my pain meds and know just when to take them. LOL
-
What'd I miss, who got married, what page are the wedding pictures on? Huh?
-

-
Blondie, Hope everything goes smoothly for you tomorrow.
Best wishes to everyone else having chemo or treatments this week. Sorry, I'm too tired to go back and re-read everything. Spent the day taking care of GD. She is walking now and into everything!
Peaceful sleep/dreams for one and all.
-
My Professor came today, watched me do one physical exam on an 18 month old (NOT an easy age), talked with me for about 20 minutes and said, "I don't need to observe you doing any more exams, I can tell you are doing fine." Wow....
THEN.....
I gave the supervising pediatrican (PH) an evaluation to fill out, and he gives me all excellents and above averages. HOLY CRAP, am I dreaming this up?
Sitting in a Starbucks drinking steamed vanilla milk - skipped Jazzercise tonight - didn't go home right away so I don't have to cook dinner. Going to bed early tonight and dreaming sweet dreams. I have to say I am surprised, but pleased.
I'm holding all of my sisterhoolies - waiting for surgery, test results and recovering from treatments - close in my thoughts. Thinking of each and every one of you.
Michelle
-
Shell, so happy to hear about your fine, fine day! We know how smart and valuable you are as an NP. Glad your prof and preceptor figured it out. Sweet, sweet dreams.
-
Oh Shell u will sleep like a dream, Congratulations, but we knew that this would happen. WONDERFUL===I admire u so much. and so HAPPY for u and u'r family.
-
Shelleroni, what away to end such a trial year. Beginning with the layoff that was a shock. Taking the pediatric courses to round out your NP. BC. The inhumanity of the system after BC. Dh's hitting bottom to come back to the guy you fell in love with so long ago. A triumphant end to a clinical rotation that started like hell revisited. CONGRATULATIONS! How sweet it is!
-
Hi ladies I am up again but no naps during the day
I think I am nervous for radiation. GMA thank u for your help! I will make sure I am comfortable while they set up my mapping. I am so glad u told me I wouldn't have even thought anything if it.
Flowers I hope u and I can have some restful sleep soonisn't it crazy how much all of this affects our subconscious? That's probably why we can sleep...
Blondie you are right the eye twitching was the worst in the beginning and now I don't ever notice it. What happened with the PET scan? Are you breathing better. In your pocket tomorrow sister warrior!!! U are amazing
Sass I am so happy everything is okay!!! I have always thought the radiologist should talk with the patient about what they saw. Not another practitioner reading a result. I seem to always ask a question that someone can answer bc they weren't reading the actual scan.
Congratulations shells!!' All that hard work!! Sass said it perfectly, cheers, everything came full circle, you deserve every happiness. I knew that DR would fall in lov with u. I bet the office is sad to see u leave. It is fun when people surprise you.
Healing hugs to everyone,
Sweet Pea xoxoxo
