Sweetpickle....anyone lucky enough to meet you.....is a lucky person indeed.
Sending giant hugs too (I'll bring the potato chips to add to the wine and chocolate). Throwing in some fresh mountain air, peaceful views, and some snow for sbe's shoulder. (((((x))))) gentle hugs to all. You ALL are ALWAYS IN MY PACK!!!!
-
Nihahi, beautiful photos. Wow!
For those of you recovering, there seems to be a lot of us that got the three weeks post surgery blues. Hope it passes quickly. Maybe a little Hershey Therapy? -
Nihahi.....great pics! Here in August with near 100° temps coming this week the snow looks inviting (remind me I said that in the dead of January 2014!!!)
-
Jeannie, and everybody else that said they feel a little old today, this is what my 4 year old grandson said to me during his bath tonight...."grandma, are you old?" I told him, "not yet, sweetie." And, he said, "that's good." But that doesn't change the fact that he said it!!!!!!!
-
I have one question about that lymph node transfer, "what happens to the place they take them from?
-
Wow! Awesome photos and cheering up by my good friends. You are all welcome at my house for chocolate, wine/sangria, potato chips, tissues and movies! A virtual pot-luck tonight! I'm making homemade fudge to share. Pass the sangria please!
-
Surely, we will be watching Fried Green Tomatoes at our virtual get together tonight! I usually don't have a sweet tooth, but please pass that fudge!!!
-
I'm not ready for visitors yet but thank you for all of the kind words and encouragement! I soooo appreciate you ladies!
Bailey, you put things so eloquently, you seem to know just what to say! You made my eyes well up with tears with your kind offer to a relative stranger!
I am truly blessed to have you ladies in my pockets!
Thank you!
Sherry -
Now that I have two sleeping kids, and husband can I join the virtual party? I gave a great bottle of wine to share.
-
Curly, thanks for sharing about your antidepressant experience. It helps a lot. Sorry you have do much on your plate right now. Once your surgery is behind you things will get easier.
-
Best day EVER. My DIL called this morning and said, "can you babysit?" Uh, YEAH! So Aubrey's been here since 4:00 and we've been having a wild time together! Mostly me watching her sleep. I can't take my eyes off her.
Nihahi, gorgeous photos. I so miss the snow in Colorado--although I do remember that by April or May, I was pretty sick of it. We moved to California in 1997 for my husband's job.
We can watch Fried Green Tomatoes and eat anything but barbecue. No barbecue.
Gotta run. There's a baby to look at.
-
Pictures are great!!
Sherry!!!! I have cried too! Hugs and up from here!
hrf!!!!! Yes we had surgery the same day! Think I have the same bra. My PS said it was for shape OO -
Lol, Sbel....no bbq...most definitely!!! So happy you are sitting and watching Aubrey
My oldest is the first grandchild on my side. He was born Dec 18...that Christmas my DH, parents, sister, my Grandma and I just sat watching him in the middle of the floor....they are mesmerizing.
Enjoy your strawberry girl!
LMAO Sherry...idk...I talk about blowing sunshine up your a** and you call me eloquent!!! My mother would not agree! (But my dad thinks I'm funny!) I know we are all technically strangers (some stranger than most) but it doesn't feel like it anymore, does it? I was telling my friend about our group here and she said she has been part of a similar group online for 15 years! It was a moms-to-be discussion board and they have continued chatting as their children have grown. Can you imagine all of us still in touch in 15 years?
Good night, ladies! -
Sherry and Bluebird- I too wish I could make things better for you right now! Im so sorry you guys have had such a difficult time and I hope you are indulging in some chocolate, wine, whatever makes you smile. Hugs!
Bailey- I think you are funny too :-)
Nahahi- Thank you and WoW those are gorgeous views! I am so glad that you got to spend some quality time with your grandbaby!
Bunco was a great success. I felt really uncomfortable for the first ten minutes and then was fine. I did meet some very nice ladies and Bunco is a hoot! I would love to do it more often. I got a few phone numbers and plan to attend next months activity. -
Hubby got the bra I sent him out for!:) but even though I got 2 sizes up its still too small! I was a D and the PS said I would be a large C. Though I'm swollen bigger!!
-
Tracy, go on Kohls website and look for the Bali Comfort Revolution style # 3488. I promise you will not be disappointed, support, comfort, and it comes in all these cool color you won't mind slowing under tank tops, etc. They have been a life saver for me.
-
Jeannie...forgot to say happy anniversary! I hope your party went well...pass the sangria!!!
-
Yeah, Sweet! I am so glad you went. I like bunco because the way the game is played you are forced to interact with everybody there, and it's a mindless game, and it's just a fun way to socialize. I bet you met your new bff tonight, who knows?
-
Sherry, and Bluebird I want to come and wrap you both up and take you away to my fantasy place where we are all together taking care of each other, physically, mentally, spiritually...
There would be chick flicks, porch swings with beautiful sunsets, wine, chocolate, good company, peace and quiet, naps, good food, exercise, no judgement, and healing.
-
Nihani
Love the pics. Keep showing my husband too. He wants to put that hike on our bucket list of places to go. Thank you for sharing.
-
Goldie, can I come????
Sweetpickle, yay for you and new people! As a young friend of mine says, "There are no strangers, just friends I haven't met yet!"
Sbel, so happy you were able to spend time adoring your (our) adorable baby!
Sangria was gooooood! I am sad to say goodbye to my youngest and her hubs. Red eye to Michigan. There is sangria left over and I am happy to share with all of you!
Nihahi, awesome pics! You and your friends must be in such great shape. -
Klanders, your firstborn is going to a great school! Go Blue! (Sorry, Bailey). My SIL is in dental school and my DD is academic advisor in the Ford School of Public Policy.
-
For those of you that like to read I just finished a book titled All You Could ask For, by Mike Greenberg. When I ordered the book I was intrigued because I heard the author interviewed on some morning show, and he is really a sports reporter, but wrote a book about friendship and breast cancer. So, I order the book from Amazon. It's not the best read in the world, but the last chapter really brought it home. I think it will mean something to everyone of us on this forum. So, if you need a book to read, find this one.
-
Jeannie- Forgot to say Happy Anniversary and I hope you guys had a wonderful
-
Sherry and Bluebird, thinking about you and hoping that things turn around real fast for you. Sending gentle hugs.
Drains are really bothering me. Still have one foob bandaged trying to get it to heal. And having lots of trouble sleeping on my back. But compared to others, it's not so bad.
Good Sunday to all. -
Here is one thing I thought about when I had my spots that took longer to heal....I tried to concentrate on the 40 or so inches that DID heal....beautifully...instead of the 6 " that was slow....really, when you consider HOW MUCH cutting is done on our bodies it's a wonder we don't just break apart at the abdomen, no?
(Grrrr Jeannie....GO GREEN!) -
-
-
Hrf and Jeannie wishing you a speedy recovery!
Tracy..your hubby is a sweetie going to buy a bra for you...my hubby would be mortified if I asked him to go bra shopping for me.lol
Sbe - your grand daughter is gorgeous, enjoy her...
I am a HUGE side sleeper, gonna be a struggle sleeping on my back:)
I know with implants some women choose not to wear bras, is it the same with DIEP?
It's a beautiful sunny day here, going to enjoy a swim in Mom's condo outdoor pool.
Michele -
Bailey, good advice. Thx
Curly, good question about bra. I'm curious to hear responses. Too soon for me to know answer.
