Woohoo!! 2 weeks ago I found (online) a bike jersey I really wanted. But it was $80!!! Aaack! I kept thinking about it so did a search again last week and found it for $60. I was tempted by the "deal" but still WAY too much. So sad...

Today I decided to look again....

    $40!!!!

I'd LOVE to imagine it dropping to $20 next week, lol, but I grabbed it! Hope it fits!

Cowgirl boots are awesome. You may have to make a trip here to Calgary to the Stampede to show them off!!

I was going to have some retail therapy as I had an hour to kill after rads before picking up my kids from school but they did not have my size in the silver sparkely flats I found! Oh well. I posted last time about being annoyed with my drs and the lack of support. Well today I finally met with my radiologist onc and spoke to her about the follow up ct scan I will be having tomorrow and getting the results in a timely manor. Well she actually offered to call me with the results and was very reassuring about everything. Finally, someone who gets it! The best news is that I will have an hour to kill between appointments tomorrow before I have to go back to work so hopefully I can find something nice to calm my nerves about the test results!!

Violet, I DID snatch it at $40! Can't wait til it gets here. It is very bright and obnoxious and I love it! Hope it fits over the you-know-who's!

shoppygirl - Glad you found someone who gets it - much better than that douche. I hope the CT scan goes well.

violet_1 - Cowgirl boots are so cute. I got a pair about 5 years ago. They're black leather and snakeskin - I always wanted a pair of snakeskin boots. I got a pair of heart concho boot chains to go with them. I love hearts.  I still love them and wear them a lot!

Lol! He will have to take you shopping!

Just got the results of my ct scan for my lung nodule. Great news, it is exactly the same and they are pretty sure it is a non cancerous granuloma!! Who hoo! I do have a small thyroid nodule now! I have learned there is always something when they scan you ! Not too concerned about the thyroid, I know these things are common. Anyway I guess I should do a little celebratory shopping! Have a geat weekend beautiful shopping ladies!

Do any of you ladies have gel nails? I was thinking of getting my nails done again but they are kind of wrecked from the chemo. I am wondering how lung I should wait? I used to get them done all the time and I miss it. Thanks.

    Global

So sorry that you are not feeling well! Big cyber hugs to you! I have not bought anything for a little while ( well a week and that is a long time for me lol) but I did reorganize my closet last weekend and hung up some purchases that I made over the last month that were still in bags. It was very exciting to get organized again. Hope you feel better soon!!

I got a couple of new dresses at Ross. I can wear bras again after radiation so things fit differently now that the "girls" are pretty even once again.

I had one wardrobe for the tissue expander days, one for post-surgeries, one for radiation, and now am falling into some kind of new normal.

    And THAT calls for shopping!

    LOL

sorry you are feeling crummy global.

    Hugs

GlobalGirlyGirl, sorry you are feeling bad. What's wrong? If you don't feel well enough to go out shopping, there's always online. Sometimes I have fun just putting things in the vitual shopping cart, even if I don't end up buying them.

I haven't bought much lately, but a couple of girlfriends came over and borrowed some dresses, which made me feel happy. And those of you who read about the Kate Spade dress shoes I got on sale awhile back, my girlfriends told me that a new white dress I have would be perfect for the shoes. Going to wear dress/shoes to a dinner date that my DH and I have next Wednesday. I am going to splurge on a facial and pedi at the best spa in town before our date.

I love to hear what everyone is buying. Wish there was a "LIKE" button, might encourage more gals to share (and spend, hee hee).

Thanks for the hugs, sciencegal. I need to get to Ross. Their fall stuff is probably already in.

TarheelMichelle - More emotional stuff. I changed primary care physicians. I spent an hour with him, talking cancer, and ended up breaking down and crying. He ordered labs for me, and the lab screwed up my timed blood test. It's just been one of those lives. Wink I did go to Tuesday Morning and ended up getting these cute mason jar type glasses.

And you made me laugh about the virtual shopping cart. I do that all the time. Online window shopping  I also "watch" a lot of things on eBay and forget to bid. Laughing

I LOVED those Kate Spade sandals and was so jealous of the deal you got! Pedi and facial? You go girl. You're going to look smokin' hot.

Thanks for the love ladies. Please share more of your purchases. Retail therapy is the best! Kiss

Good for you, violet! Every gal needs to have her precious feet taken care of. Kiss

Globalgirlygirl. I'm so sorry about your doc experience. You would think with all the time we spend in medical offices we would have better experiences. Maybe it will make you feel better if I share mine? I just spent 3 hours sitting in oncologist's exam room. Doing nothing for 2-1/2 hours. Supposed to see 2 specialists, 1 never showed. This was supposed to be a consult after a fine needle aspiration of a lump under my arm on Friday. That was tearfully painful -- she jabbed me several times, and then came back and jabbed me some more, to make sure she had enough tissue -- well, I find out today that she DIDN'T get enough, and they couldn't even get my hormonal status from the sample. They got enough to do androgen testing but they hadn't sent it out to the lab -- yet. I cried too, doesn't everybody break down and cry when facing these roadblocks in our medical care?

I am SO trying to stay in a positive light, so I came here, and felt happy to read about GlobalGG's Tuesday Morning glasses, and your encouraging words to me, THANKS!!!! It really lifted my spirits. I hope y'all will forgive me for venting on the shopping thread.

I got this last weekend. It's a Jones New York satin robe. I thought it looked very old-school, Hollywood. Plus it had pockets and the belt was nicely sewn, so it doesn't hang down in a sloppy way when you untie it. I didn't see anything else in the store I wanted, so I decided not to buy it. Then I had second thoughts, but when I looked back at the rack, it was gone. My husband teased me about "she who hesitates ..." When I got home, it was hanging on my closet door. The sneaky fellow had bought it when I was in another part of the store, then hid it from me. <3

    Tar

It's gorgeous! How sweet of your Husband!

Poor you with the medical BS...can't they give you Lidocaine cream before needle aspiration? Do you have pain meds you can take beforehand?

Ronda - What a terrible experience. 2.5 hours and then finding out they messed up? Insult to injury, literally. Frown

That robe is gorgeous! The color will look perfect on you - considering your hair color and skin tone. Very sweet of your husband. Maybe you really don't have to hide that second pair of shoes when you go shopping. Wink

Violet - Very nice! Keep the feet soft and pretty.

Rhonda, beautiful robe! Your husband sounds like a great guy! You deserve it! So sorry to hear about everyone's poor treatment by the medical profession! I too have had my share.

Good thing we have shopping to make it all better!

    Thanks y'all.

Violet, the pathologist sprayed lidocaine on the 2nd time. But it stung the places where she had already poked me so bad I had to say "Ouch! Stop!" and it didn't seem to help with the second jabbing. I'm on OXYCONTIN for my bone and lung mets so if I can feel pain, something is hurting bad! My husband watched the whole time and said she was wiggling the needle back and forth. I just don't see how she couldn't get enough tissue. But, over and done!! On to wine and ice cream. Yes my husband is so so sweet. He's my Romeo.
