Edi - love the picture of GD, I can definitely see why she won! I also am glad that you are now able to soak in a hot bath, hope you are not singing along with Johnny Cash for too long. Interesting re: wrinkly butt - toll worry can take on us, so glad to hear he had a good result.
BTW - thanks for the phone call re: two Joes
. Yesterday as they were peering closely at my chest and mentioning that I was getting a 'tan' I told them that my husband refers to my treatments as 'catching some rays', the one Joe laughed and then said he had never heard that one before, then without missing a beat said 'you are ray-diant'.
You could be right re: gay but I won't spoil my fun just yet
Traii - glad DS is getting better, hope your energy level begins to improve now
Dakota - hope you will spoil yourself after the 'canning'
Luvmygoats - glad the kids arrived, hope you can work on feeling better now. Congratulations on 37 years, quite an accomplishment!
Everyone else, have a good day! -
Good evening everyone.... time marches on, as we start daylight savings time tomorrow. Another sign of spring. Went for a long walk with hubby today and saw a bald eagle just sitting there, posing on a tree. Did I have my camera...noooo. Oh well, he is often there, so I'll try again. Went to a medical supply store to get the rental of a recliner chair sorted out for my "post-surgery" days, had to wait 45 minutes before someone was available to help us. Turned out, she couldn't access "the record book" to even check to if there would be one available when I need it! Not her fault, but certainly frustrating for us. I had waited until the weekend to do this, as my knees started shaking just walking in the door, so wanted hubby with me for courage. Tried a second rental place......closed on the weekends! Pfft.....not the most successful trip into town, and nothing on my pre-surgery "to do" list got crossed off.
Edi...lovely pic of GD. How is the "bully" situation going....sorted out I hope. Sounds like you had the open house sign turned on with all that visiting! How many lovely soaks in the tub have you had now?
Traii...little one feeling better I hope! Don't you go catching it now.
Caitlin....hope mom's visit is helping to keep the se's minimal for you.
Dakota...I remember all the fundraising days, not always fun, but those sport activities can be soooo expensive, there is really no other way to have the money is there. Cockroach likely never took his turn on the corner I bet!
Websister...hope your "rays" aren't too hard on your skin. I give you credit, I really don't think I could handle the male techs as well as you are.
Hope everyone is well. (((((X)))))

Greetings from cold and miserable Merseyside.
Happy Mothers Day to all you Mummies. xx
Had a frantic fun day yesterday, met my girls and GD's in local play centre. Had a cup of tea which I had to drink thru a straw, Mucowhatsit is beyond belief now. On fire from mouth to exit.
Ulcers erupted on bottom lip, overall look like I have had Botox, trout pout or what.
How dear Benny hacked this on top of everything else heaven alone knows.
Rang onco and they recommended Igloo ,a product which encases the ulcers in a casing which allows it to heal.
This morning up at 4am after 5 whole hours sleep and lips seem less swollen. They gave me so many meds for this after last time but lo and behold they didnt work !
Burning down to tummy so that even water is like drinking battery acid.
Shopped like a nutter after seeing my girls, I sooo love dashing from shop to shop with my list and filling up my bag on wheels lol.
Fed happiness ( DH ) then fell asleep on sofa, football comes on TV and Edi heads for the hills, sod that for a game of soldiers !! I hate hate hate football, here they are overpaid morons who cheat and roll around on the ground clutching their supposedly hurt bits like big babies.Rant over.
Out for lunch with my girls later today GD's and BC buddy, will eat it even if I have to scream and bang head against wall after lol.Jennie, good luck with all the excercises and massaging, we hopefully will all look back next year and think it really hurt but I DID IT.
Didn't know rads can cause lympho ? now dreading them.Traii, sorry DS still not 100 percent but sounds like even 50 percent is POW.Party sounds fab, heat and a pool that is a far off dream here.
Man U !! DH is a Liverpool supporter and they are mortal enemies lol.
Hope little Tinker lets you chill a bit today,Dakota, TWO hours of can shaking you are a SUPER MUM, hope you raised loads.
Caitlin, no pain no gain should be our Mantra methinks.Cat in hat was cute wasn't she but I am a bit biased lol.
Hope flippin Johny Cash didn't serenade you. I had to take Immodium before I dared go for retail fix.5 42 am and this part of the world still snoring, think I will make a milky drink and try for some extra zzzzz's
Love to all X -
I'm so well rested that I'm wide awake now!! 11:30pm here in hot hot Melbourne town
..... back to the pool this evening after having dinner with the family. Taking DS to the Moomba festival tomorrow in the city. Its a labor day holiday tomorrow. then off to the beach for some fun in the sand and water.I love summer but I really can't wait until autumn kicks in, which we've been told that there won't be much rain either this autumn.....
Nihahi, daylight savings ends here at the end of March....(actually think its the weekend of Easter, then again they change it all the time..I just wait until they mention it on the news ) !!
2 more days of these pills Edi and I'm done. I know about that 'ring of fire' it happened later on for me this time around. OMG its crazy. I have mucicitus but doesn't sound HALF as bad as yours poor Cyber Mummy
.... glad you got our with your girls and did shopping.Well I guess your DH wouldn't get along with my family then being rivals and all....lol. I'm with you though about your description of "overpaid morons who cheat and roll around on the ground clutching their supposedly hurt bits like big babies." (my cousins husband is not like that ok!)
Dakota, shake shake shake, shake shake shake, shake that booty....oh I mean can......lol good on you girl. Instead of going home to relax you're out there making money for sport. You are a supa mom!
Oh Miss Ray-Diant, I just noticed your avatar....you are very radiant indeed....gorgeous

enjoy your Sunday ladies..... I guess I should try to sleep some time soon !
-
Starting to wonder if we're on the same planet??? Edi's got Mother's Day (comes in May here). Traii's got Labour Day (comes in September here) - am I the only one just moved to Daylight Savings Time???? hmmm....maybe I've been "punked"!
Gosh Edi, don't know how you keep charging around, with the se's that you've got. You truly are the leader of the pack in the "just get on with it" category. There is NOTHING gonna stop you! We don't watch much football here, but hubby is a Canuck...so that means our big overpaid baby bullies are hockey players. Don't ask how our team is doing this .....sad to watch this year, so I don't give it the time. I figure I can find other ways to waste 3 hours, several nights a week!
Traii....not liking the sound of less rain this autumn for you. I would have pegged that as your rainy season. Doesn't sound good for next year's fire season at all! Love hearing how your extended family gets together so often. Your aunt's pool is probably one of your favorite visits I bet! Two more days of pills...woohoo....Edi better start planning that cake for you! I'll have to check the mailbox for my pocket party invitation!!!!!!!!!! (hmmm..what to wear????)
Dakota...this week is your exterminator meetup isnt it? Better bring the backpack...there are going to be so many of us in there making sure she totally gets the cockroach picture!
Starting to be the "shoulder season" here, snow's becoming "dicey" for shoeing/skiing, trails aren't ready for hiking......not good when I need to keep busy and get my mountain fixes!!!!!!!!!!
Scottiee's doing her girlfriend getaway....from her posts on another thread, sounds like she sounds in great spirits and planning to really enjoy herself!
Liefie...hope hubby has started to "chill" so you can truly relax and enjoy that island!
Caitlin, Jennie, Movie, Websister, Carla, et al...have a good one today...thinking of you all.
-
luvmygoats,
They sound so precious. I love baby everything and would love to share in the feeding if I was close enough. I never had children and I still have a strong nurturing soul. Lord help anyone who comes to visit I want to take care of them even if they don't want me to. LOL.
Get some rest when u can.
Sheryl
-
Hey Sheryl...Good to hear from you. How's things going for you?
-
Hi Cyber baby girl, two more days of those piggin pills, what a relief. Party in your pockets as so many off us.
Cake being worked on.
Muco has been much worse than I expected but means to an end. Was panicking about the ulcers then googled and found that if you mix half a teaspoon of salt and half a teaspoon of baking soda/bicarb in glass of warm water it soothes your mouth everywhere. Ulcers seem to be shtinking too.
Had a ball at the pub, lovely roast and they let me do kids portion size ate most of it and really enjoyed it.
All the family x
Nihahi, se's not funny but people on here going thru much worse. Refuse to let the bxxxh slow me down.
Weird the way special days are so different world wide.
Hockey bit more violent than footie I think, nice to know your players are overpaid bullies too. lol x
Sheryl you can Mother me anytime please, take care of yourself xDH needs feeding suppose least I can do is cook something, laters x
-
Gosh Edi, what a "bevy of beauties" in the photo. What a great gift you have to be able to spend so much quality time with your girls.
Hope the se's settle down soon for you. How many rounds do you have left? Just think what a celebration you can have on Mother's Day next year, with all of this s**t behind you!
Cloudy but warmish here today, so went for a long walk. Think I tuckered hubby out yesterday, as he stayed home a zzzzd on the couch. Sun's out now, so just may have to go out again.
There is supposed to be a comet in the skies for the next few nights. Anybody seen it yet? I love looking for stars, planets, meteor showers, etc. The Northern Lights are my special favourite though! Just am amazed by them every time I see them.
Hope it has been a good day for everyone.
-
Nihahi, thanks they are all so special, lady on my left is GD's other Nana, my BC buddy her daughter on the end is having her second baby.
BC buddy and I were out the other day and I said" Had a dream last night your Jill was pregnant and having a boy," she proceeds to choke on her food !!
DD had only told her just before we met that morning
It was all still a secret lol.
When we met today I said hope you and the boy are doing ok, she now looks at me as if i can levitate !
Mothers Day next year, I am sooo looking forward to it.
Glad you enjoyed your walk, you are an energizer Bunny ! Poor DH zzz on sofa, I have just woken from a nap and after tablets and mouthwash I am splatting in my comfy bed.
Can you see the Northern Lights from where you are ? They are something I find fascinating and somehow spiritual. Know what they are and why they happen but amazing non the less.
I have them on my bucket list and one day pray I will see them.
Will look for that comet. I look at Sirius the dog star everynight and say hello to our little yorkie Molly. They say the spirit of all little doggies goes there until you pass over and they meet you again.
Two more lots of CMF 4 visits in all. So hope the meds work on this Muco next time.25 shades of pink running alongside, ( insult to injury lol ) All done by end of April !!!
Hair now snow white and can stroke over to one side as is about half an inch long.
Jill on right hand side of sofa, had all hers shaved off for charity only a few months ago and has already had one trim from hairdresser.
Hope all ok with you xx -
Edi, I swear we came from the same tribe of druids or something, the way we share the "emotional tug" of the wonders of nature! Yes, we can see the Northern Lights if conditions are right. Obviously, you have to be away from the lights of the city to get a good view, and they vary in intensity. One night years ago, we were driving back from a day of skiing. The lights were dancing over the mountains like I had never seen before or since. We pulled off the road, and watched for over an hour. Colours and movement, just like a glimpse into heaven. One of the "life moments" I will NEVER forget.
Your little Molly likely has made good friends with our little Nugget. We had him for 15 years, and he was a sweetheart (not smart, mind you), but sweet all the same. We still talk about him.
Sounds like your hair is coming right along! Are you staying with the gorgeous white, or going for purple stripes????? Now's your chance! I'm sure your shades of pink stories will rival those of Websister!!!!!!
Have a lovely sleep. I'll watch for that comet for both of us.
-
Hi everybody,
Just quickly scanned all the posts, but can't comment. Too busy being lazy! Arrived here on Saturday, weather is glorious and the ocean is the most unbelievable blue colour - can't stop looking at it. The energizer bunny is actually relaxing for the first time on a holiday. He even took a nap yesterday afternoon, something he just never does. We are just lying around, reading, walking, swimming and having a good time. He grilled calamari tonight and also made a stirfry with an unknown vegetable that he bought here. It's called cho-cho. Reminds me of apple. He used onion, mushroom and tomato with it. Was good. Wonder what he will cook tomorrow? LOL.
-
Relax and enjoy, Liefie!!!!
-
HI, 6am mug of tea and in my favourite cyber space.
Mucowhatsit has subsided to bearable
salt/baking soda mix seems to be doing the trick. Lips gone from trout pout to kipper lipper. Much less swollen and sore.
Slept almost 5 hrs plus nap on sofa in the evening so look out world here I come.
Wrinkly butt coming to put up my blind in bathroom today or tomorrow, we asked for quote on remo of downstairs shower room. I thought it was reasonable but DH didn't so said he is going to do it !!! If any of you have a spare room to rent I am clean neat and housetrained lol.
Nihahi, fellow Druid, your description of the lights above the mountains made me more determined than ever to see them. If you go to certain parts of Scotland I believe subject to conditions you can see them from there.
My Molly was with us for 15 years too. When she passed last year DH fell apart, she was bought for me but fell in love with him from day one and I was just handy if he wasn't around lol.
If hair stays white think I will keep it that way, fancy the Annie Lennox look. If it goes yucky I believe there is a veg based dye that we can use so looking into that, might go for skyblue pink with a finny annie border. One of my Mum's more odd descriptions of certain colours,
Did you see the comet ?
Have a lovely day x
Liefie, The vibes from the sisters have calmed DH lol. So happy for you, sounds idyllic. Let us know whay he cooks next.
Relax and recharge YOUR batteries xJoy and love to you all, check in tonight when you have all checked in, xx
-
Well hi there Edi!!!!! Nope, no luck with the comet tonight. It is supposed to be low on the western horizon at the moment, but apparently on Tuesday, it will be up near the moon, and should be easier to spot. There is an annoying building across from us that blocks our direct west view. How inconsiderate!!!! The comet is called Pan-STARR if you want to google it...might be able to find out where/if you can spot it in your neck of the woods. "kipper lips" - LOVE IT!
You can come stay with me!!!!!! I've got a spare room, hubby's gone to work all day.....you could be my post-op nurse!!!! Now THAT would be a blast!
Glad to hear you are going the give the "mighty whitey" look a try....so much easier than doing all that root maintenance!
Didn't see anything from Traii today....hope all is well with her.
Going to yoga tomorrow morning, (if I ever get some sleep tonight!). Have yourself A GREAT DAY. (((((((((X))))))))))
-
Girlies im here! Had a great morning at the beach!
Came home DS didnt want to have arvo nap so on goes DVD and mummy and daddy lay on a couch each and we slept for an hour...lol
(Just hope I get to sleep tonight, DH can sleep in water!)
Edi Im glad you have your hair coming back in...mines back too all even and I love rubbing my hair...lol coming back in dark brown!! Cant wait to put in some of my blonde foils again. .lol
Your family is gorgeous. Our mothers day is the first sunday in May. I might be in hospital recovering from surgery
we will celebrate earlier then
Liefie glad to hear you're relaxing and DH unwinding....well dinner sounded yum...not sure about the cho cho though....lol. our chinese restaurant has a apple like veggie in their stirfry...i pick it out just not into the apple texture in my stirfry...lol
Enjoy soak up the sun and relax...its good being lazy, being lazy..lol
Nihahi, move the building so you get a better view, buildings can be so inconsiderate...lol -
Nihahi, gonna google pan starr in a mo.
Would love to come and look after you post op, would read you fifty shades of grey and watch those drains fly off in all direction lol.
That building needs to be demolished ! We are lucky that we have nothing behind the house except fields but first time in almost forty years have had a clear view of the night sky.
GD is a bit of an astronomer tiny tho she is, she discovered sirius one night as she went to bed. When ED asked what she was looking at out of the window she said she was watching Molly in the sky. Mum and Dad googled the beautiful bright star and low and behold it was the Dog star, spooky.
Swear she is an old soul in a new body, she has the most amazing empathy for other people.
Hope you get a good rest xxTraii, about 7.40 pm with you if I have worked it out right. Good for you having some zzz's hope it doesn't bugger up bed time.
Has become bitterly cold here again, we were married in March and our wedding day was Baltic so no surprise there.
Easter is supposed to be bitterly cold too, sad because we usually have a lovely day hunting eggs in the garden and fun in the sun.
Last day of tablets for me tomorrow and you too I think ?
Sleep well chick, hope not too hot. xx -
Yeh Edi, you have our times right
2 hours ago it was 7:40!!Very hot still 32 degrees outside now 9:30pm..... crazy weather we are experiencing.
What date in March were you married ? I married in September and it was so windy, I was lucky my veil didn't fly off....did get some good photo shots though of it 'flying' !
Last day of tablets for me too tomorrow, forEVER!!!
Hope the weather doesn't rain for you Easter....hunting eggs is lots of fun. last year DS knew what it was all about, love this age! We left a trail of eggs for him and a Easter DVD and hung eggs off our plants outside...it was good fun. The Easter Bunny even took the carrot and drank the water we left him outside !! I love little kids and their faces Easter time and Christmas..its what brings the spirit alive of Easter and Christmas.

Well chickadee....I'm watching Revenge right now then off to have a nice cool shower and relax a little more before work tomorrow. ( I think they should have holidays on your birthday don't you think) lol......
Enjoy your Sunday ladies......xxx
-
Traii, DH gone to work YAY, hope shower cools you down.
We were married 15th March and as well as being cold was windy too. Got a great pic of DH holding onto my cathedral length veil it was attached to flowered hat and it was then pinned to my hair, if he hadn't held it down I would have been scalped lol.
I know they are your last EVER and am really jealous, still only two more sessions to go.
Agree on holiday for Birthday but knowing your lovely workmates I am sure they will spoil you
I hid parcels of easter bits all over the garden and the GD's hunted them with little baske ts we laughed so much watching them, then they had a wrestling match in the middle of the lawn amid much hilarity.Had to make each parcel identical for each one as they compare sizes and amounts of everything so competative. If this weather continues for you the eggs will be a melting mess.
Sleep well sweetie xx -
Don't be jealous, 2 more rounds for you and you will be done FOREVER too

How funny, the kids would compare sizes and amounts.....
Wow, your anniversary in a few days, hope you'll be off to the pub for a 'big size' meal this time around to enjoy how many years of marriage?
Ok well off to the shower now before Private Practice starts here.....didn't notice the time, mum and I have been gas bagging on the phone ( you'd think we never saw eachother....lol, we only live 5 mins away but I didn't see her ALL day!)
luv ya xx

What a beautiful cake to celebrate !!!!
Congrats !!! -
Honestly Edi, I just don't understand why people have the impression that you and I might be "a handful" ???????
hehehe!!!Traii....HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY DAY!!!!!!! From your photo, I'm guessing maybe you're now what, 21???? You gorgeous thing! Celebrate as much as you can, Edi's cake looks delish!!! (hmmm, are those little balls around the bottom layer??????)
Dakota...I used to really love tournament time. Once the hockey season was over, it felt like my social life took a real nosedive! Hope the exterminator does the job right, and that would mean supporting you in everyway possible. Tell her that you have "people in your pockets" if things start to bog down. I'll be the first one out to give her a serious shake!!!!!!!
Scottiee..enjoy the girl getaway..you're sounding much better, hope you feel the same way!!!
Yoga this morning was really good....but now paying the price and icing "that which shall not be named"! 32 days and counting!!!!!!! Gonna make some bread again today, but won't be nearly as yummy as Edi's cake.

Happy Birthday Traii!!! Congratulations on last chemo too! Hope you enjoy that beautiful cake your cyber-mummy made for you!
Edi, so nice to see you with your girls and ladies gathered round!
Nihahi, my stepsons were alluding to Pan STARR on Facebook and I had no idea what they were talking about. Sometimes I think I must be living under a rock! Hope you get to see the comet.
Liefie, sounds like the vacation is off to a great start, with your DH relaxing! Hope you both continue to enjoy your time away.
Scottiee, hope you have a good break!
Dakota, hope all goes well with the exterminator appointment this week, and that you start to get some resolution.
Websister, have you reached the half way point in your ray catching yet? Nice that you have the Joes to entertain you.
Have to say I have very minimal SEs (bad stomach cramps today) but still feel run over by a truck. Should start feeling better tomorrow, if it's like previous rounds.
Has anybody heard from Benny?
