Morning ( here ) to my adorable sisters.
You have NO idea how much I need you ALL. Got up 6.16 and had a good read of these posts ( best part of my day ) alternate between laughter and tears what a tonic you are. !!
Had a pleasant day yesterday, no workmen in the house helped.
Gas man, after being cancelled rang DH and got all " you must have this done or we won't cover the rest of your contract " DH said fine, I will cancel the contract and find someone else if you don't come and clean the part of the boiler that is causing the problem. Gas man says NO phone goes down.
Five minutes later Gas back on, we will be there tomorrow ( now today ) and do what you want !! DH not usually that assertive but his wallet was under attack and not for anything he wanted.
Dreading it really as the man gives me the creeps, makes my hair, all half an inch stand on end. Wrinkly butt popping in to fit bath screen so sure he will help if gas gets bolshie lol.
I then collected my GD from school and thus started the best part of the day.
We came home for dinner and I was keeping her for a good few hours as Mum and Dad had an architect coming re house remodel.
She wanted a bath but no hot water so Nana said would you like a shower with me ? YAY was the reply.
In we hop together and we hose each other down scrub ourselves then hosing again.
Nana then gets her " hair " washed thoroughly to many giggles.
We agreed that we have the same bodies only Nana's much bigger and she doesn't have a blue boob.
Wrapped in warm towels with mug of milky tea, Pjs on and she hoovers down a meal I couldnt manage.
We then watched a DVD of her Grandad's 50th 16 years ago. The look on her face seeing her Mummy with a mop of hair like an exploded mattress was priceless. She was fascinated. We are at ED's for Mothers Day on Sunday so can't wait to show her too.
The dvd's were transferred from old videos and it is lovely to see happy memories.Traii, Muc is horrible isn't it ? no wonder Benny was sooo fed up. Won't miss this se at all.
C cup is a perfect size, so excited for you.
Did sleep six hours again steroids seem to be gone within 24 hrs. Hope you got some rest with the starfish and DH hogging the bed.
Your Dinner time if my calcs are right ? Have a lovely evening. xdakota, understand where you are coming from with the loss of your dreams, but you are such a strong beautiful woman your Prince will be out there when cockroach is crushed.
Meanwhile you have to heal your spirit and get back to full health, xNihahi, More snow, England would have ground to a halt by now lol. Thanks for the compliment, look at other old farts when out and about and must admit don't look quite as bad as some of them.
Like Traii I really hate what Alien is doing to you. Countdown to destruction YAY X
Movie< nihahi is correct, you too have been to hell and back. we all do this journey in different ways but Warrior Sisters All.xLiefie, Trip sounds wonderful, have the best time ever. Hope DH calms down, mine does that on holiday gets up for walks at dawn etc. In Spain many years ago he did that and a Dog came up and licked him, he dashed back convinced he had Rabies, that cured him x
Large A small B ? as you say anything is better than two fried eggs lol.
After I had my lumpectomy went for tea where I worked. Ordered egg and chips ( fries ) out the plate came with pile of fries and two eggs side by side, one smaller than the other. My boss did it to make me laugh, and it did xCarla, six cycles instead of four sounds good. Hope you are coping well x
Caitlin, Round three wow bashing through this. Lovely DH and Mum there for you.
Wig is gorgeous. You can be a fly on my wall anytime lol.xLuvmy, you ok ? Give the goats a curry that might move things on x
Benny in our hearts and thoughts x
Scottie, glad you ok, when you retiring ? You deserve some rest. Hope monitor happens soon for DS x
Websister, fifty shades of pink much nicer, only ONE Joe, put in a complaint ! x
Well have probably bored you all sxxxxxxs apologies all have fun packed day/night with NO se,s
Love in buckets xxx
-
Edi...you are the best! Sure hope the hot water gets sorted out soon, and without completely destroying your hubby's wallet. How are you doing with the se's this time around. Rest, Rest, Rest!!! Soon all those wrinkly workmen will be out of your castle, and you can start enjoying your new digs.
I see you and Traii are up. Alien and I are likely the only ones awake on this side of the ocean...at least it feels that way sometimes, when it's the middle of the night and I'm on "defrosting" duty. Maybe Luvmy is spooning curry into her goats, though, so there's a chance I'm not alone.
Traii..don't think you've had any sleep for the last couple days, by your postings. Sorry to hear your little guy is not well. Another Kindy bug?? Honestly, I'm doing everything I can to send some cold air your way. Came out of Qigong class tonight, temp was -17, counting the windchill.
Websister..sounds like you had quite the day. Crockpots are the best aren't they! Lovely to come home to smells of supper. Sorry to hear the tamoxifen is still giving you grief.
Liefie...Turks and Caicos, we will be expecting many photos of sand, surf and cabana boys. Hope you hubby is able to wind down soon enough to let you both have a really relaxing holiday. So hard when it takes the whole time away just to start to relax, then it's back to the grind again.
Dakota, surely spring is coming, don't you think! You and I are now 35 days and counting.....! As soon as I can stand upright again after the surgery, I'm going clothes shopping! Gives me something to look forward to that doesn't get me scared silly.
Caitlin, hope you are doing ok, and maybe still getting help from the naturopath guy.
Carla, you are a brave one....bc has met its match with you, that's for sure.
Scottiee...isn't your girlfriend time coming soon? Keep your chin up, spring is on it's way to you too!
Movie...you're my role model for Diep courage!!!!!!
Hope those who should be sleeping, are doing just that. Those who are awake, hope your day is going smoothly.
Benny....we still care about you, and hope you are getting help from the support people.
Love to everyone. ((((X)))))

Nihahi, sorry to hear you're up with the alien again. For me, it must be the steroids, but hope I can fall back to sleep soon.
Re: the osteopath, well I'm supposed to see him this AM, but there was a heated discussion on the matter last evening. My DH and I have been together for 8 years, but only married for a year and a half (my first, his second). Have to give him credit, in that he has come with me to every single med appointment/consultation and every single treatment, except the first time with the osteopath (friend who recommended him took me). Anyway, problem is that DH came with me last time - to the treatment - and osteopath did acupuncture but also ventured into the land of cupping. DH was appalled and almost put a stop to proceedings - he doesn't want me to go back. He asked MO about it yesterday - MO said acupuncture is okay (I didn't mention the cupping), but isn't convinced it would help much with chemo-induced nausea because of the number done on the GI tract. I would like to continue acupuncture but also don't think I should do cupping during chemo, especially version that involves breaking skin. So, sent DH NCI summary on scientific studies of potential benefits of acupuncture for cancer patients, but remains to be seen whether I cancel appointment. Honestly, I go because it makes me feel better mentally and spiritually. On the other hand, I realize it's my choice, but feel I have to give DH's opinion considerable weight now that we're married.
Phew, sorry for the long rant. Just another treatment decision to negotiate, I guess.
Edi, sounds like you had a lovely time with your GD. So nice that you were able to keep each other company! Like Nihahi, hope those wrinkly butts will soon be on their way, and you can have a long hot bubbly soak, in peace!
Scottiee, glad that all is well with your son and hope he gets the monitor soon.
Liefie, Turks and Caicos sounds like an excellent getaway spot for a winter warm-up. Tell that DH of yours to sleep in, and then enjoy the sun and surf to the max!
Thanks for the compliments on the wig. General consensus is that I should keep it, even when/if my hair grows back. One friend even told me she prefers the newsboy cap I've been wearing around the house (when not going freestyle) to my own hair - hmm.
Okay, time for some water, then shut eye. -
I'm awake too nihahi. Did all of you know that stress causes insomnia???? Nooooo, really?? LOLOL
So, I saw the MO and got blood counts done and they were ok, edging back up again, hemoglobin still low but getting better. I still have the muscle pain, and no sign of hair growth yet, but am assured it will all be back to normal in time.
Then on to the RO and he just about had me in tears, first of all I have to get the 33 rads, not eligible for the 16 dose, they explained why and it makes sense but still bummed. Secondly because of the pain and cording in my armpit, I'm not able to get my arm into the position they need it to be in, so he sent me home with a brochure describing some exercises I'm supposed to do, for a week and a half, then come back and try again. Frankly I don't see what good that's going to do. And it upset me because all this time I've known that something was not right, that surely it wasn't normal to have this much pain this long, and all the drs just kept brushing me off, saying things like "it just takes time" and "everyone is different". And they would not refer me to PT which maybe would have helped. So I'm just a wee bit peeved right now, you could say.....
Benny, I pray you are not back in the hospital or anything like that.
Good night fellow warrior sisters, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully a better one for all.
-
Jennie, I'm down for 33 rads too, but I won't be starting until June. Like you, I was pretty bummed about having to do radiation at all, let alone 6 and a half weeks of it. It's not the treatments themselves that concern me, but the potential for long term effects. Anyway, since I started chemo, I just haven't been thinking of any of that. Just following the plan, focusing on the moment, and hoping for the best.
Why would they not refer you to a PT? I've only seen my RO once for an initial consultation, but she said she likes all her patients who have had axillary dissection to have seen a PT before starting radiation. It was actually my BS who referred me to a lymphedema specialist PT, on the recommendation of the RO. Have seen her twice a week for 4 weeks and it has helped a lot with range of motion and numbness/tingling. Actually, seeing the PT improved my range of motion noticeably after only 2 weeks - do you mean to say they won't even send you to a PT now? Can you self refer or even have your primary physician refer? I'm happy to talk with you via PM if that would help - sure it will all work out for you, but understand your current frustration. -
I have decided on a new approach with the alien...I will not mention it anymore....figure maybe it likes the spotlight! Anyway, life goes on.
Caitlin... tough decision re: the osteopath, for sure. I don't understand you comment about cupping that breaks the skin? I had cupping done years ago, by a physio that also did TCM on a stubborn shoulder injury, and after trying everything for weeks, that sorted things out for me in two sessions.Looked like an octupus had attacked me for awhile, but never had broken skin. At this time, if something gives you some comfort and confidence, it is hard to give it up. But, you don't want to bring more stress into the day by upsetting hubby either. Very hard sometimes to blend western and TCM approaches. I'm sure your hubby is coming from a place of love and concern for you. Hope it sorts itself out in a positive way.
Jennie.....I'm with Caitlin....get yourself to a physio (PT for you). Find one with experience in bc issues if at all possible. Even a few weeks of treatment will help get you started on the right track. Like so many ladies, you're likely at the point where you just want the treatments to be over, and the "extension" from 16 to 33 was sooooo not what you wanted to hear. Hang in there, the rad veterans here will surely help you through.
Movie...did you have a recliner for sleeping/resting in after your DIEP? I cannot get comfortable with the thought of sharing a bed with hubby while I still have drains hanging out, so we are going to get a rental one organized this weekend. Think it'll help me feel less worried about managing the first little bit at home. Are you completely upright now?
Hoping for a good day for all. ((((((X)))))
-
Just a quick check-in. The energizer bunny is running around like a headless chicken watering his precious plants and tending to his compost heap. . . He still has two hours of work to do, and will pick me up at 10.30.
Jennie and Caitlin, sorry to hear about your issues, the long rads prescription, the cording . . . Jen, they sometimes 'break' up those cords, and then it feels much better. Just a suggestion. Hope you guys get sorted out. Not nice to hear someone here is not doing well.
Apparently we will have Internet where we are going, so will try to read posts. All the best to everybody!
-
Liefie....have a wonderful time!!!!
-
Hi ladies -
Well more snow here.... Kids had a 2 hour delay. I am at work but all of my patients cancelled... Now I can catch up

Nihahi- sorry the alien is bothering again maybe the new approach will work ???
Lie fie - so jealous have a great trip!!!
Web sister-
I think 2 joes is a great combo. I think u should complain too
Jennie. -
I am sorry Hun. Hang in there
Edi- love ur stories. So glad u got so quality time with GD. Hope wrinkly butt has ur back with gas guy.
All is ok here. Will see the exterminator next week. As long as I don't push his buttons he is calm. Outdoor soccer tournament this weekend in the snow we shall she how that will go
and hockey of course !!!
Luv my- no babies ??
Benny oh Benny where art thou????
Hope everyone is having a great day !!!
Love to U all !!!
Hugs :0) -
Can't seem to get it in gear this morning.....gonna have a second cup of coffee then get busy!!!!!
Dakota...so glad to hear of the soon to happen exterminator appt. Play the game with the cockroach, you don't need more of his "junk" in your life. That exterminator better be a good one, and sorts through stuff in the best possible, least stressful way for you and your kids. You are a wonder!
-
Traii - sorry to hear that DS is not well, hard on everyone
Edi - love hearing about your days, hope the boiler repair went without incident, your time with your GD yesterday sounds magical.
Today was back to two Joes but there is absolutely no way I can compete with the young lady who seems to be either right before or after me this week. She did not have chemo and had lumpectomy, looks to be late 20's and an absolutely gorgeous blonde - hope the treatment does it's thing for her
Liefie - love the visual of the energizer bunny getting ready - enjoy! Glad you will be able to keep up via Internet - if DH is Ok with it, otherwise you'll have to hide the laptop like Edi
Dakota - hope the snow has stopped now, have a good weekend, you will start dreaming again soon
Jennie - sorry to hear about the upsetting RO visit, so difficult when doctors aren't really listening to your concerns, hope the PT works wonders and you are raising that arm high quickly
Caitlin - your skin is your first line of defense against infection, chemo depletes your WBC and makes you more prone to infection; if also depletes platelets and red blood cells - anything that would break the skin or cause bruising/bleeding would not be a good idea while having chemo (my opinion)
Carlads - hope the side effects are improving for you
Nihahi - hope your new strategy works, I won't mention about what
Beautiful day here isn't it, I was thinking of you as I drove to rads today, lots of snow to snowshoe or ski in and beautiful sun and warmth - hope you are able to get out and enjoy
Wishing a good weekend to all
Take care -
Well, reached an agreement with hubby - went to the osteopath, but promised DH there would be no cupping. Explained my concerns re: infection, and osteopath was totally fine with it. Nihahi, the type of cupping you had is called "dry" cupping - I had that all over my back and perhaps wasn't so much of concern, except that it does cause some faily significant bruising (lasted about 5 days). The thing that sent my DH over the edge was the "wet" cupping (two on my front and four on my back), where small perforations are first made to the skin, then a wick is lit inside an overturned glass flask, which creates a vacuum and sucks the skin up inside the glass, drawing blood through the skin perforations (and we're talking a goodly amount of blood). I have to admit that aseptic technique did not seem stellar. I agree with my DH and Websister - NOT a good idea during chemo, so I was glad that we can continue with the acupuncture, minus the cupping, while in chemo. Of course my DH has pronounced the osteopath a "quack" for using this technique knowing I'm immunocompromised - but although DH is not thrilled about it, he seems to accept that logical or not, seeing this doctor makes me feel better. Also, I'm very keen to take an integrative approach to treatment, including borrowing some elements of Eastern medicine. Interestingly, the osteopath claims that cupping was Hippocrates' favorite method of treatment - don't think my DH gives a damn whether it was or not.
Jennie, again, like Nihahi says, I found even a few sessions with the PT helped. It is important to find somebody experienced in dealing with breast cancer/lymphedema to cope with the cording. I did experience benefit very quickly - able to assume "the position" for instance, even though there is still room for further improvment in my movement in certain directions (strength is good). The main thing I noticed is that in addition to giving me progressive exercises, the PT repeats passive stretches every session, focusing on moving my arm straight up over my head and out to the side. Especially in the first few sessions, she guided my arm to places I might have not felt comfortable taking it on my own - heard a few pops, etc - but that made tackling the exercises on my own easier. She also spends a lot of time on tissue massage around the incision and area likely to be radiated to make sure my skin is moving freely. I was warned I may have to go back after radiation therapy, but I can tell you it has been extremely beneficial. In fact, when she measured Wednesday night, my range of motion in the left (affected) arm was better than that in the right! Even if you could get in 3 or 4 sessions with the right person, I think it would make a difference for you.
Felt reasonably well today, but in previous rounds Saturday and Sunday have been the bad days. Really enjoying Mum's visit.
Have a great weekend everybody!
-
Will catch up some more tomorrow.
Nihahi - Read your post from 17 hours ago about me being up spooning curry in the goats. 17 hours ago I was actually asleep.
Silly goats. The short version is 1st goat (1st timer) kidded at 1245 Wed. morning (I think I put Tues. in a few places. Couldn't figure out where I lost a day LOL and LAS - lack of sleep). DH up to help. One tiny buck, one super tiny doe couldn't stand and unfortunately one dead buck. Milked mom out some and bundled them in the house - had several warm nights but NOOO not Tues into Wed. Fed them and put them in dog crate. Got about 3 hours sleep b4 and after. DH took personal day Wed. to help. Bought goat formula - did I say mom is a super SNOT. Milked her a little more for doe but boy went out with her - strong and well. #2 goat - kidded at 7:30 Wed evening with a little help, marvelous mother, strong doe & buck, no problems. Yesterday doe learning to walk, bottling well, peeing all over me at every chance. Out to mom x 2 to nurse today. Could prob. stay but mom believes she is an alien; doesn't smell like her so guess I have a bottle baby to raise. Done it b4 when I lost mom to a C-section and at least her mom is out there to nurse, just have to tie her up. Bitsey or Lillabet (Little Bit) I think is going to be her name. DH has her pic, but I dare not bother him again to post it as he headphones on watching a movie. She slept thru the night with only a couple of peeps; DH in guest room and baby in dog crate in our room. And yes - Wednesday with all the excitement was our 37th anniversary. All DH would like is a clean house. I got what I wanted which was help with goaties. Think this is it for babies. Knees, back, shoulders, ankles creaking from kneeling. TTYL. Nap on couch b4 last feeding for the night. Thinking good thoughts with minimal SEs for everyone.
Missing you Benny.
-
Wow luvmy, those baby goats have you and your DH hopping, with your anniversary in the midst of it! Is that it now, or are there more kids to come? Hope you manage to get some well-earned rest! Would love to see pics of the babies at some point.
-
Caitlin...so glad things have gotten sorted out for you. Sounds like your osteo is willing to listen to your concerns, hubby willing to accept you need to do what you feel helps...best outcome all the way around! Hope today will be a lead in to a weekend of more gentle se's. Glad that mum's visit is a good one.
Luvmy...about time we heard about some little goats!!!! Sounds slightly crazy for you at the moment...hope you can still make that getaway with your daughter.
Jennie...how you doing today?
Websister, Dakota, Carla, Edi, Traii......hope all is well.
-
Ladies, having difficulty getting anything to post.....must be my wonky fingers.
Nihahi, I had a rented electric hospital bed that I ended up keeping for six weeks instead of four, due to my tummy issue. I just couldn't see sleeping in a recliner for that long, and I couldn't handle sharing a bed with my husband....I was terrified he would roll over and smack one of my super-sensitive "girls", so I opted to sleep in the family room in front of the big screen tv...... :-) you are going to be so well prepared for this....keep up the physical activity, and eat lots of ice cream.....
Luvmy-glad the kids have arrived! (At least some of them?)
Edi-love love love your posts! What a great sense of humor!
Traii, Dakota, Websister, Carlads, Caitlin , Jenny, Scottiee , and all you other wonderful women-I cannot tell you how much strength I gain from reading your posts-love you all!
Namaste and God Bless! Jackie -
Hi everyone, After 6 hrs sleep feel quite good.
Only down side is ring of fire kicked in
not quite as bad as usual so hoping dies off later.
Wow yesterday was a day and half. Gas man came
made DH answer the door to put the fear of God up the horrid man. DH opens door " hello mate " he says what the fxxk ! Mate my ass. Gas man belts up the stairs to boiler and works away for 1 1/2 hours with much banging and crashing.
DH then leaving for work and Edi hyperventilating
I defo have an angel on my shoulder because as he left Shed Man our dear friend arrives with pics of new GD.
Then Gas man clanks down the stairs ALL DONE and HOT WATER !!! Off he goes.
Wrinkly butt arrives, ( lovely soul ) puts on shower screen and tells me his test for tummy cancer ALL CLEAR, he looks years younger, the worry must have been destroying him, we know the feeling don't we girls ?
Shed man goes and friend from over the road pops in to help with computer problem, cleans up hard drive and sorts this piggin netbook out.
As he leaves lovely friend arrives for tea and biccies and fantastic gossip.
She leaves, and in half an hour I tidied and cleaned most of ground floor before DH arrived home.
I sooo needed something containing booze but had to settle for coke ( drink of ) lol
DH has dinner and then goes for pint with shed man and Edi slips into glorious bubble bath.
.
I then fell into bed and not so much slept as passed out.
Today subject to Johny Cash will be out wallet bashing.Nihahi, 35 days wow you and the others going through this are amazing. I am ensconsed in my recliner right now, very comfy and supportive and have slept over night in it a few times. I understand your fears re DH and you feeling vulnerable, x
Liefie, hope your duracell bunny's batteries have fallen out, and you are both chilling out.x
Caitlin, DH's can be a pain but I, like the others agree on the cupping issue breaking skin noooo ,if I get the slightest break in skin I panic and bash on loads of antiseptic. Sure your practitioner totally hygienic but good idea to leave this off until all back to normal.
Hope se's not too bad and you can have some lovely family time with Mum. xJennie, 33 Rads is a bummer but all this is the means to a good end. Hope you get that cording to stretch and soften x
Dakota, hope your weekend is stress and cockroach free. x
Websister, 2 Joe's again !! my phone call worked then lol.
You are just as gorgeous as the blonde ,anyway the Joe's may be Gay ! now that would put the cat among the pigeons lol xLuvmy, all those kids, you must be sooo tired. Happy Anniversary too. Lilibet is our dear Queen's pet name as used by her Nanny when she was little. So sad about the one who died. Pic's would be wonderful. x
Traii, must have missed your post about DS, please let us know how he is ? hope you are feeling good and not too hot. x
Benny ((( HUGS ))) xx
Bearcub, carla Bevlee everyone have a lovely weekend xxx
-
Thought I would try and post this pic.
World book day last Thursday, GD chose " Cat in a hat " from Dr Seuss.
ED assembled her costume and Nanna supplied hairy cat front, it was DH Santa beard from Xmas.
She rang last night to say she was Star of the Week and had also won best costume.
We are all so proud.
-
Caitlin, when you mentioned "massage around the incision" I literally cringed in my chair.... isn't that awfully painful? When the RO was feeling the area, it was the first time anyone has touched it since the surgery (aside from me ever-so-gently swiping the surface in the shower) and it really hurt a lot. A friend tried to massage my back once (long before any of this stuff) and it was so painful, I had to make her stop. The thought of massage around such a tender area, well..... yikes.
But what you said about the stretching exercises was interesting because I had a little "aha moment" today. I suddenly realized that what the doc said, to "reach until it hurts, then back off" was not quite right. That's what I've been doing all this time, and it hasn't improved one bit. I realized that what I have to do is stretch until it hurts, and then a little bit more. Which is hard. But pushing it not just up to the point of pain, but a little bit past, is the only way to see some change, I believe.
I have an appointment with a lymphedema specialist next week. I'm hopeful that she can give me some good advice. I understand that having radiation to the lymph nodes puts me at high risk for lymphedema, so I'm meeting with the specialist beforehand to talk about anything I can do to hopefully prevent it, or at least lower the risk.
-
Thanks all for your well wishes on my DS....he isn't 100% but I'm sure you're all glad to know he is still his cheeky, naughty self .....lol. Energiser bunny is full of beans..wish mummy was like that with him right now, he really tires me out mentally and physically...lol
Jennie, just to let you know, even without radiation, I got some lymphodema. I saw my PT and with some excercises they gave me it has reduced dramatically. It all started with the cording...I use to do stretches as excercises , it hurt like hell doing them but they managed the cording and since haven't had it again. Now I still have swelling in my arm and hands and fingers. I do my excercises funnily enough it actually all starts out with the breathing deep down in the stomach to get the lymphatic system going.....it does work. Hope you get some resolution on this and answers .
Edi, Dr Seuss is gorgeous. love love love the pic
It is VERY hot here and just got back half hour ago (11pm) from my auntys house. It was my cousins 13th birthday party today and turned out to be a pool party. was fantastic, great food, company and lots of fun for young and old. My darling cousin who's living in Leeds sent over some gorgeous winter clothes for DS.....along with lots of Fireman Sam things...( my aunty and uncle were over there in January so I told her instead of posting to send with them for DS birthday and Christmas) my aunty and uncle brought him back a Manchester United outfit, shorts, top and socks, gorgeous..I don't really follow football...but apparently its the team my mum and uncle go for...lol.....but I've been told not to post any photos on FB because my cousin will be sad that her husband (whom plays for leeds ) didn't get back in time with an outfit for DS.....whoops...lolWow Luvmy, what an adventure!!! Happy 37th Wedding anniversary for Wednesday
missed the anniversay with all the hype of these little baby goats needing to hurry up and come out...lol hope you are having some rest inbetween and letting DH take over !! You need the warm summer nights we are having here and maybe you'd enjoy it a little more...its 11:30pm here and still pushing 30 degrees...its really really hot.!Liefie, no internet where you are going...I would go crazy...lol......its ok, my DH says that I'm married to my smart phone and lap top..(well he's not wrong ) lol ! enjoy your trip and stay safe xx
Dakota, did you guys win soccer this weekend?
Hope everyone is well......DS is still not asleep and calling !!!! better attend to him before he screams the house down and wakes up the neighbours!!
-
Hi ladies -
Traii - too much snow soccer got canceled
. Instead I get to go and stand with DS outside for two hours in front of local coffee shop with a can ( we call it canning) to see if people will pitch money in for hockey expenses.
Edi- what a day girlfriend I was tired just reading it!! So glad u got to soak in ur tub!!! Sounds delightful!! Funny how time zones don't really matter. We celebrate Dr. Suess as well.
Jennie - glad u have a appt.
luvmy - yay kiddies are here! Happy anniversary!!! -
I should clarify. It not for my personal expenses... Lol it's for the whole hockey club

Caitlin, nihahi, and everyone else hope u have a fabulous day !!! Muah lovely ladies

Jennie so glad you're seeing a lymphedema specialist next week Yes, indeed it does hurt (a lot) when she massages around the incision and especially the drain holes, but the the goal is to get the skin and tissue moving freely across my chest. When I feel pulling that restricts the movement of my arm overhead or to the side, a lot of it seems to come from that area (initially had more of what felt like cording, but now very little). Yes, I found when the PT guided me through the stretches, I got a better sense of where the limits were - it wasn't so much that she was pushing beyond where I had a lot of pain (certainly it's always bearable) but beyond where I started to feel pulling or like my movement was restricted, so that I was afraid to push further.
Edi, that's the sweetest Cat in the Hat I've ever seen!
Traii sounds like a fun party - especially since it was a pool party! Hard to imagine that here at the moment! Hope your DS will be completely better soon.
Not feeling great, but possibly better than I have on previous Saturdays after chemo. Have a feeling I might be singing a Johnny Cash duet with Edi!
Time for more water and a nap.
