*Good Morning Hermits*

-
Blondie- I am so glad you had a nice trip to the shore and had fun! Yay. A little ocean therapy goes a long way.
-
Good morning hermits- it's in the teens here this morning and here it is a whopping 1 degree up in northern NM right now. So baby it's cold outside here too.
Waking up with a lot of sinus congestion today. I hope I am not getting a sinus infection. Might be what I just call the "furnace is running now" congestion.
Mommy- I hope your husband feels better. Lots of crud starting to go around now.
Getting ready to head to the client site for work today. Wishing everyone a good day.
-
Very bad ice conditions here, so I cancelled my appointments. News reports said don't go out if you don't have to, so I won't. DH headed to a meeting at one of his offices, normal ten minute drive took 45. Meeting cancelled, he came home to work from here. Ice is the pits. Except in a gin & tonic.
-
He's feeling better, he's driving me nuts!

Tomorrow will recuperate from today, have to go out on Wednesday.
Son came over thanks goodness haven't seen him in weeks, asked him if he was mad at me. Anyway george said he wanted 2 learn how to make a turkey so my son said he would help his brother. (Explaining i have 3 boys 40, n the twins will b 21 12 9.

Cold as my MIL's heart outside. Staying inside today except to take the dog out!
-
*Good Morning Hermits*

Yesterday, Husband and I had the pleasure of taking Teka to yearly vet visit.
Ok kitty for another year!

-
That is good to hear. Happy for your furbaby.
-
Good morning hermits- jazzy definitely has a virus going on and is staying home and will do some work from home instead of going to the client site today. The sinus thing did not clear up as the day went on, and I felt worse so I left mid afternoon. Came home to nap and also slept a lot last night. Nothing bad, just something that is telling me to SLOW DOWN and rest, so I am.
Blondie- so am I hearing this right, the twins are making the turkey for Thanksgiving????
Mommy- you cracked me up with the "as cold as my MIL's heart." I have a SIL like that! It is in the teens here this morning.
Teka- glad Teka did well at the vet. I bet she was glad to get home!
-
lol
Well, its true!
-
Mommy- my SIL is a high demand person. She has been through some really hard things in life from the loss of two husbands to bc. She has softened only a bit, but is very materialistic and competitive and always looking to analyze and judge everyone else's life and play the one up game. In other words, despite all those difficult situations, not much changed. Because the leopard does not change their spots. Perhaps true of your MIL too? Some people show us in life what not to be.......

*Good Night*
-
Teka, that cartoon is priceless ... Thanks for the giggle
-
when people tell you who they are believe themno Jazzy my oldest son and one of the twins, Michael is lazy!!!
-
Jazzy, MIL is just plain nasty and hateful. She has always resented my hubby and his siblings for many reasons.
-
*Good Morning Hermits*

We're in the Adirondack Mountains and get just a little lake-effect snow!
-
Good morning hermits- feeling better today and will go out into the world this afternoon for some errands and a haircut.
Mommy- well that is too bad. She sounds like a miserable person. I have known mothers who resent their children. Your husband sounds like a good guy, and he takes good care of you.
Teka- I am watching the Buffalo snow story on the Today show right now. I remember spending time in upstate NY as a kid (near Cazenovia) and seeing the plow paths with 6-8 feet of snow on each side of the road. They say more snow is coming to that area. Those poor people!
Blondie- well that sounds good that the older son is leading the way and teaching the younger one. I hope the turkey is tasty!

hi hermies, I have been lurking and laying low. Friday is my last chemo. I've been cooking and enjoying it. So far I made a meatloaf, a dump cake, and tonight I'm making pot roast that takes about six hours in the oven. It's such a relief to be able to cook because I love doing it and it really relieves my anxiety. Going to freeze a bunch of many meals. Tomorrow should be pork tenderloin, and baked chicken breasts! Doin lobster tails or something different for thanksgiving....
Anyway I hope you're all doing good. Sorry for those snowed in or iced in. My friend lives in Maine and she goes through it every year and hates it. Bippy has never been in snow!
-
Bippy- I am glad you are almost done with chemo and doing some cooking. I hope this final one goes smoothly. Will you do rads after this or are you done after chemo?
Good night my friends. Sunset photo from the bosque del apache where I am taking the fam the day after Thanksgiving.

-
Wow sweet jazzy that is awesome mommy mil i guess i am a bitch mil dont mean to b but she better remember she has a son when he ignores u, u will get what i was complaining about.
Older one cant cook either. I have oxy so not supposed to b near a gas stove, my kids dont give a crap, lol
-
Blondie, the only time hubby's parents bother with us is when they want something, otherwise we are ignored and they make comments nasty comments aimed at me. Hubby has corrected them more than once about this, but it just doesn't sink in with them. Ah well, its not my problem that they are the way they are, got more important things to worry about.
Anywho my fellow hermies, its cold here again but not as cold as yesterday. Day two of hiding in the house.

Good Morning Hermmies, I'm sorry I'm not here as often as I was--but one of the things is my job is getting full time with this weather, I'm so busy and as usual getting all the numbers mixed up and where people live, It's call after call and I can't read my writing anymore and it used to be beautiful. Oh well Anther crazy thing with my hands that happens with all this crap.
MO I cracked p, as cold as u'r MIL heart--that's priceless.
Jazzy u'r getting Thanksgiving table ready now??? OMG u are something, I have no idea what we're doing yet, but I do know we're having Christmas eve here for Marty's family and we go to my nieces for Christmas with my sister (which I really enjoy) Jey loves's parties here and helps so much he's so happy.
Blondie I love to see u post some more, and I like that u'r sons are making the turkey--I of course have never made one but others have so it must be doable. right?
Mo I really like the idea of u getting another kitty, like I said I thought I never would, bt somehow when u meet these kitties u know and they know which one should be yours.
Sally Joey came into my room the other night and asked t sit with me--he never asks he just comes in and cuddles--so I said OK, then the clarinet comes in and the cat runs and he closes the dorr --Oh my stars I was stuck smiling the whole time--He had his book with him so I was in for a while, finally it stopped but I do have to say he doesn't squeak anymore--much. U know her Dr. told her she really shouldn't have kids and they didn't for a while and then she didn't want to tell me cuz she figured I'd worry so much, even tho she was in the hospital so long and sick for 1 yr--(that why I took care of Joey) I thank her for being brave and having him--I think u all know I would not have gone so well and this long without him--I always tell him he makes me strong, then he says not that strong----brat.
Sorry for boring you all.
Jazzy I hope u'r feeling better now.
And Lily I'm so glad u have a friend u can really talk to, that's so important.
Hey Teka u smiling lady that always makes me smile.
