-
Yeah, he was loving it. He has been picking at it since he ate a good chunk of it.
-
hi Jazzy, i am hyper sensitive right now and emotional all over the place........its way over two years for me and i still hate my physical state, the instant i wake up i feel it and a weight descends on me for the whole day........and i get random panic anxiety, like walk in to shop feeling fine, stop at a shelf and my heart is pounding.......weird

*Good Morning Hermits*
A dusting of snow and 28*F is winter enough for me.
Lily,
Many individuals that feel like you in public, now, never leave their homes. You're doing OK.
Jazzy,
Husband got to do the 1st load of wash.
MO,
Teka only likes the tuna juice.

Getting annoyed with the phone ringing today, its all surveys, telemarketers or wrong numbers!
-
Went to the derm today and she says my surgery area has healed well. There is still a small scab up there, but it may just be the result of some bleeding from the sensitive area if a comb or a brush hits it wrong. She saw no signs of anything coming back that suggests a re-occurrence of the basal cell. I see her in another six months and they we go back to yearly.
Lili- you have been through a lot with the surgeries, the terrible infection and a lot more. I had a lot of anxiety for awhile about people finding out in my professional network despite it being kept quiet, getting sick again while I am working on anything for a client, etc. I still have moments around the "what ifs." It is really hard to be as social after all this. I am around people with my work and really don't seek people out much during my off time. Sort of hard to explain to others how we feel after all this. It does really traumatize you and perhaps there is some PTSD that has gone with all you have gone through.
Anyways, I send you big hugs across the ocean and glad you stick with us here.
Mommy- I noticed the political calls and messages stopped election day but now I am getting those end of the year calls for donations, including from my alta maters. Give us your vote, now give us your money! I hear the phone scammers are at an all time high. I don't answer my home phone that much actually.
Going to personal training today and doing some more measurements around % body fat losses. I managed to reschedule my cleaning to next fri which works better. Just too much going on this week.
-
Have read through posts but am having a horrible twitch in my left cheek that makes it hard to focus so I will leave it there. Maybe later.
-
Mags- glad you are here and reading. Hope the twitch goes away and you are resting well today.
Stay warm too, cold everywhere it seems.
-
The best piece of advice I ever received in the workplace!
-
Teka- very true. To anything, at work, with invites you don't want to accept, favors you don't want to grant, you name it.
Wishing everyone a peaceful pre-Thanksgiving zone weekend.
-
I hope everyone is doing ok, very cold here in Washington
Jazzygirl I glad your surgery is healing well, May prayers are
with all those that are facing bad weather, Please stay safe
everyone and take care, Footprintsangel -
Good Evening!!
-
Hope You had a good day
Mine was ok
-
I stayed in out of the cold.
-
I had to go get some cancer meds at the store, and they were
out so they will have them Monday. I just cant believe they would
run out of them. Them a dog in a baby carriage went after Faith
and I talk to Safeway and they said they let everyones dog in now.
I have lost my rights as a wheelchair handicap person.!
-
Still have to control their dog.
You haven't lost your rights, just need to raise a ruckus in Safeway!
-
How do You do it with this dicrimanation way, where everyone is
handicap, and they ask them I have a handicap coat tags and her
liscense, They have nothing on theirs and it rides in the carts where
food and children go!
-
That is happening all the time, and the other dog owner and Safeway are responsible for your rights not being violated. You should've called the police If the other dog had contact with Faith or you.
-
I will next time It did get Faith but she made noise, not loud,
But I will do that next time cause I need my meds and they are just
going to the deli. I was very tired too cause of the wind storm and
still got alittle cough in my chest. But life is good
-
Police have to write up an incident report and identify other dog owner and obtain other dog information.
-
Good morning hermits- I hope everyone is doing okay this morning. I have lots to do today at home, so I am going to skip playing music this weekend, but will go next Saturday.
Footprints- I am sorry to hear about your meds and the problems at Safeway. I have a sister in law with muscular dystrophy that feels the same much as you do about negotiating the world in a wheelchair. Teka provides some good advice here. Wishing you a better day today.
I hope you stay warm and comfy today. It has been cold here too, and I hear we are getting snow here tomorrow, but perhaps only in the mountains.
I bought a new fitness tool yesterday, a Garmin Vivofit and got it set up last night to track my entire day of exercise from number of steps to miles, etc. We measured again yesterday after training, and lost another 5 on the internal fat measurement. Now at 39% with the goal of getting to the low 30s for a healthy range. Still have fat to loose in other places too. It will take more time, but now I am disciplined to keep going with the knowledge all I am doing is getting me the results I need. Next week, I drop to 2 days a week with the trainer and have to begin using the weight machines on my own.
Bippy, Monis, Maiden, Mags, Blondie, Cami- love to hear from you! Anyone else too! Just thinking of some folks we have not heard from as much lately.
-
*Good Morning Hermits*
-
Teka- I agree. My problem this morning was I ran out of milk. Don't like my coffee black. Must hit the store today.....
-
A bit chilly here today but I can deal with it.
-
It's warmer here today, already up to the 50s, but tomorrow it will get cold so I must get out and rake today.
-
Gonna watch Wisconsin play Nebraska later in college footbal. Maybe it will help get my mind off things.
-
Foots - I would say Teka is absolutely right about another dog going after Faith. I would have called the police right there. I think grocery carts in general are pretty nasty things. Not sure if dogs behind is worse than drippy meat packages. And yes I too wondered when all dogs were allowed in stores not just obvious service dogs though I know not all disability is nec. obvious as in epileptic service dogs.
Have to watch my TCU Horned Froggies play today. Where I got my nursing degree. Bet it's cold in Kansas where they're playing. Cold here 46 degrees with maybe snow 1" tomorrow night. Forecasters still not sure. Wind blowing like crazy so feels much colder. We had a bit of sun but clouds back again. Sun supposed to reappear late afternoon - not confident that will happen.
-
Hey, Jazzy, I'm with you on milk in coffee. I used to use a splash of Coffeemate Italian Sweet Cream and a bunch of milk, but after dx, got more diligent about checking ingredients and found the Coffeemate contained soy. After much searching, I found Coffeemate Sheer Bliss, which is just milk, cream, and sugar. I miss the other flavors, especially the holiday flavors. But being ER+, soy is out.
Hoping everyone is having a good weekend.
