Jazzy, the various colors in the flooring is lovely.  i bet you will be anxious to get the rest of the flooring down when you see this year's phase.

I managed to put off dusting today by going to Home Depot for some new plants.  Now I JUST HAVE to take DH out to dinner.  But Mags, the dust bunnies are calling me.  Teka probably did the cleaning that she planned.  I am a naughty but happy girl.

Sally I'm proud of u--it's so much easier going out to. LOL

TEKA what FALL it was a billion degrees out today with horrid storms and flooding and crap The humidity was horrid, so now we shall see. It did cool a little after the rains came. Sounds like a book turned into a movie.

I love to hear good scans. YYYAAAAYYYYY

Pain is not so good today (like pain is good) well u know what I mean--had to take some meds It's where my intestine went up my side and pushing my liver into my ribs--Some days it's not to bad but today I think this part is missing his gang of other parts of the tummy and decided to have a protest--I can picture the sign in those nodules saying I want to go home--Yea well I wish that guy would go home, It feels like a knife in my side LOL I always explain pain with knives or scissors--I don't know how else to, the Drs. have asked if that ever happened to me and  no but that's what it feels like- hahahaha We all know about my Flying Organdas, well they're putting on a big show today.

Wow Cami, if that doesn't cheer you up you have a problem. Jazzy, it was a great thing you did, inviting that fellow to our little thread here. Can we keep him?

Spent the evening watching Addams Family movies. Good laughing.

Clever woman. Anyway Blondie u have a whole group going I love it. Blondie I think of u so much and just want u to feel decent xxooxxx

jazzy, haha, looking at that wood and that hot tamale of a dude, if i were myself it would give  me "lady wood"!  Hope the floors come out as you wish, it will make you happy each time you look down. Glad you are getting better.

Blondie, sorry you had such a rough night. I like the tatoo idea, i never had any tatoos, now am thinkin of getting something with meaning. Hate needles but that fear is, like lots of others, leaving fast.  You are blessed to have so much support from fam and friends. Hey purple is my favorite color.

Today is good so far, just bloody HOT and humid, but i do live in Fla. I want Fall to arrive badly, as i now associate heat with cancer. Next chemo is 8/29, and I turn 47 tomorrow!  Yes I am eating cake. Also are doing a small dinner tonight at my fav Thai joint. Have a beautiful Sunday Hermies!

Good morning- sounds like more than one of you liked the eye candy I posted! Wishing you all a good sunday.

Blondie- I love the idea of the tats. Something fun to do with your daughters and friends. Tat party at Blondie's! Have your daughter take a pic so you can post it and show it to us when you have it. I like the idea of the Irish flag, but is there a symbol you really like? They can do incredible stuff these days with tats. Most of all, have fun with it and with those that love you.

Ah my parents. Both gone now, and my dad definitely was proud of his career girls in the end. My mom sort of just thought we should be doing other things. In the end, we all came to be accepting of each others lives.

Bippy- congrats on the birthday early! I am glad you are going to celebrate (love Thai food) and having cake too! It sounds like you have some nice things planned. May 47 be a year of improving health and much love in your life.

Last day before the flooring people come. Don't worry, not much chance to over do as the house is pretty much ready, just have to take care of a few things to be ready for them to move the furniture out and then will be sitting in my home office for three days while they work in the other rooms.

End of the day tomorrow and Tuesday, I will take my little overnight bag and computer and go up the road to a hotel to spend the night. They have a hot tub there which I plan to soak in and a restaurant there with ROOM SERVICE. Yes, I plan to take advantage of it all. A vacation in my own town and also a biz write off since I have a home office at the house. I will be able to take my time putting the house back together too (some things going back, some things going into a pile for a yard sale). By this time next Thursday, the major work here will be done! Yay!

Must get to my day. Make your day a great one!

Ooh Jazzy, a hotel! Hot tub! Room service! What luxury! You've worked hard for it, you'll enjoy not only your brief vacation but your nice new floors. Yay Jazzy!

Blondie, you sleep when you need to. That is all. It's ok to be on a different schedule than other people. I am a night owl myself but have retrained myself to sleep when DH sleeps. As long as no one asks me to be bright eyed and bushy tailed in the morning. When I had my graphic arts business and was working on a project, I would work 18 hour days, often 7 days a week, and toward the end, often work around the clock doing corrections on press days. So glad I don't have to do that any more!

I actually slept through the night, mostly. Was awake for a bit, but got back to sleep. 5mg hydrocodone, so it wasn't too much. Not that I feel rested or anything like that, but I do feel better for the sleep.

Happy Birthday Bippy!  I hope you have a wonderful day.

OncoWarrior, I love that tattoo.  I've thought about that after reconstruction is done but I think it would be pretty expensive.  I got the Celtic trinity circle on my left shoulder behind my heart in memory of my older son's dad who passed away in 2006.  That is just black and about the size of a silver dollar and that was $50.

awww, thanks everyone for the birthday blessings Hermettes!  We had nice thai meal and my pal Jean had slicked her hair down in my honor, so we looked the same. It was very touching.  Weird but being balding does not bother me in public like I thought it would. It is very nice in the heat.

Today i file for unemployment and SSDI and post more of my work wardrobe on Ebay for sale. It feels good to let it go. My best pal is coming down from Maine in October, so we are prepping a guest room. Lots of good things going on!

I am taking a poll-- i had bought a wig before chemo and that sucker was very expensive and too hot to wear now. Should i sell it on ebay, or keep it?

can always borrow a free one from cancer organization here. I have hats and beanies and am not ashamed of my purdy skull. Anyone buy a wig and never wear it?

Bippy did I get to wish u a HAPPY BIRTHDAY,? I hope it was great 00sounds like it.

Jazzy sounds like a good pan.

I love that tattoo--The first one I saw was one that went from side to side like a large band over u'r boobs and it was beautiful, that's when I thought what an idea--it must have taken forever bt it was a piece of art. and whoever thought of it was brillian--the woman had no recon but was completely covered with an even mural so to speak.

Still comp. stuff going on for me so I have to see. today.

    Good morning all.

I decided to extend summer by planting some new plants ... some pansies, a sundrop, and a heuchera ... my yard (aka my small planters) needed a little pick-me-up.

    Good morning hermits

Sally- the planting sounds nice. I always feel happy when I am working in the garden/yard with my plants. I was looking at my front rock garden and thinking it needs a few end of the summer/early fall plants. Maybe next weekend.

The men are here and ripping out the carpet. Day 1 of the new flooring project!

    Sally,

I said earlier this year that I don't know how to not garden. But I can't even look at my garden now. The first five days of this round of chemo kicked me so hard, and we had no rain, and my housemates are not gardeners. My gardenia died, my potted lilac hangs on by a thread, most of the herbs are gone... Makes me very sad.

    Happy birthday, Bippy!
