Jazzy, whoops, I see a logo on the bottom left.

Good morning Hermitage!
So far so good. Shaky again this am but I'm thinking that's all the steroids. Normal levels of queasy, nothing unusual. Pretty tired but that's probably the steroids too, keeping me awake. I took an amytriptaline last night so did get more sleep, though I had trouble walking to the patio door to let Rose out for her midnight ramble. She has to check on her frogs & mice before she can get to sleep, last night it was midnight. What a character. Her new resting place is the back of the pit group that my recliner is in. She doesn't want to get too close, you see.
So I'm just taking it easy today, no appetite so far. I will take your advice and find a block to walk around. That ought to take care of staying active for today, so thanks for the suggestion.
Onward & upward! How about a sweet baby picture of my Rose?
Who wouldn't fall in love with that face?
-
Mags- glad you are doing well so far. Rose is adorable.
Sally- there is a guy who runs a thread here in town and is also a photographer and that is his shot off his discussion group on FB. He seems to catch photos at the most amazing times and places.
Making plans today to meet up with a bunch of old childhood/high school friends when I am back east. They have music on the green in my home town on Tuesday nights. Going to be fun!

Hey Jazzy, I keep forgetting to tell you, I actually attended UNM for one semester back in 1968. I graduated from Las Cruces High School, my dad's last tour of duty was at White Sands Missile Range, and he stayed in Las Cruces the rest of his life. I didn't much care for desert living, myself.
-
Mags, cutie pie Rose!
Jazzy, such get-up-and-go!
Sally, waiting to see what Hubby will whip up!
Cami, lovely day in the North Country!
-
Mags, I love the story of Rose's midnight ramble.
Oh Teka, your husband cooks too ... so does mine ... aren't we lucky?

Blessed ;o)

My DH is also a great cook! His Polish grandmother taught him a lot of her specialties, and he cooks them for special occasions. They have mostly unpronounceable names, but so good! Way too much butter and potatoes but his grandma lived into her 90's, so couldn't be too bad, right? Unfortunately, he is way too busy working to support me to do too much of that, but we do have my cousin, who, bless her heart, tries to cook for us. We are not always cooperative, DH because he sometimes has too much lunch to be hungry for dinner, and me with my general nausea. But she ha a diminished sense of smell, so her seasonings are often a bit off kilter. I try to get her to use the fresh herbs from the garden, and that helps. I grow tarragon, parsley, dill, basil, and lemon thyme, which is wonderful on chicken and lamb. When she moved in she brought her own spice cabinet, most of which is years and years old, so hard to gauge how much to use since it loses potency in the bottle. But we are so blessed to have her, we seem to have a perfect combination here, she and DH have a great relationship, they get to cackling about something and it's cool to hear. She spends a lot of time volunteering at church for one thing and another, but always checks to make sure I don't need her first. Such a sweet and loving person. What would I do without her?

i am at the end of my rope, not really a hermit more of a volcano.....really let OH have it tonight in a restaurant, he started with all his usual stuff and i told him he should live with a man as detached from life as hinself, that thirty minutes befire surgery is not the best time to decide to finally offer interest and emotional support, that he iswasting his life, i will not take any more of his leaning on me emotionally, and linguistically, that I feel alone with a capital A and i threw my ring at him over the table........I dont want to live where I am anymore.......and i feel a bit of a cheat, you are all quite upbeat and i am spitting tacks

Lily, feel free to vent ... I think venting to friends, which we are, is part of taking care of yourself.
-

Mags I'm really happy u have help it will help u so much and glad it's going well. Well, ---well enough.
Oh Jazzy u little flight kitten u'r all over the place and I love that pic--he sure is in the right place at the right time.
-
Feeling pretty lousy now, gonna shut down & hit the sack. Took both kinds of anti nausea meds, still kinda queasy.

-
Mags listen to Teka just rest and good thing u have help--and don't forget u'r water.
-
Lily- sorry about the problems in your relationship. I know things have not been good with him for awhile. It is hard having people depend and need from us when we are not feeling well and trying to heal. You need to take care of you first and he needs to get that. Spitting tacks is what we need to do from time to time. Hugs sister.
Mags- sounds like some of the SEs are starting to settle in from the first treatment. I hope you can rest tonight and feel better tomorrow.
Met some friends from a client site here in town I worked at a few years back. I have not seen these ladies in a year or more, and it was nice to catch up. Nice thing about not being on the demanding project is having more time to see people I have not seen in awhile. I am enjoying coming up for air.....
It's raining tonight. Yay!
-
Wishing you all a peaceful sleep tonight. Good night hermits!

The 4th of July is guaranteed to be a scorcher. Cool off with red,
white, and blue frozen daquiris. Layer watermelon, blue raspberry, and
pina colada and enjoy. Bonus! These are easily made without alcohol for
the kiddos celebrating, just serve in different glasses to avoid
confusion. -
Teka- oh yum, thanks for sharing!
-
Mags thinking of u, eat something, it was mashed potatoes for me...hang in there
Jazzy living vicariously through u also.
Have a wonderful 4th bbl

Chemo sucks. Why didn't you warn me?
Oh wait...

Jazzy making sugar free root beer float today with A&W and van ice creme!
-
*hamburgs & fries*
Mags,
I was nauseated with no appetite & taste while on chemo! I tried to remember the delicious taste of the spaghetti sauce while eating at favorite local Italian restaurant.
-
Mags-sorry you are not feeling well today. It all sucks in the end, this whole bc journey. I hope you are resting well and getting some fluids in and some nutrition too.
