-
Yes, the weather is crappy. It's a good day for a nap.Today starts a 3-day weekend for me
-
Good morning all ... so many of you seem to have been up a long time. I am still waking up which lately takes a long time. In addition to Arimidex body changes, I am adjusting to a lower dose of Synthroid.

Hi hermits-popping in here from my travel to the Lone Star State. I had a bit of a time getting here with plane issues, weather here (bad storms), etc. but made it to my friends house by 6 p.m. Thursday night. And we have been off and running ever since!
Something fun happened last night. We went to this dinner club called Buttons that had a great jazz band going on and there was a fellow next to us that everyone seemed to know and greeted as a VIP. When he sat down, he was very friendly with us and saw a big ring on his hand with a star that made me think "I wonder if this is a Dallas Cowboys player?" Sure enough as we started talking to him, it turned out to be Rayfield Wright, one of the best offensive players in their history.
He has been retired for many years (and this morning I am reading an article on a story about dementia that has onset for him after many head injuries). Sort of the reason I never have liked football, those men tend to get really hurt by the game.
Anyways, my friend Susie and I chatted with him for awhile and then she said "don't you know who I am?" Then he pulled out his Superbowl and Hall of Fame rings to show us (then there were pictures of me and him and the rings too!) I told him I thought he was someone associated with the Dallas Cowboys. He played in Five Superbowls and was inducted into the Football Hall of Fame 3X. My friends husband who was with us knew exactly who he was when he sat down and said nothing.
It was a fun evening talking to a very nice gentleman.

Jazzygirl,
I am so pleased that you're enjoying a trip to Texas. An evening with friends at a dinner club with a jazz band & an unforgettable visit with a football legand. Sad, so many football players are & will suffer as a result of head injuries playing football.
Hope nice weather for the remainder of your trip!
-
Jazzy-awesome and continue to have a wonderful weekend.
Hoping many of you got a good nights rest.
Very windy last night and this morning-woke me early this morning
Gong to my Sissys for dinner and taking the gang to their local HS to see Shrek the Musical. Their next door neighbor (a senior this year) is in the musical too. Should be a pleasant evening.
Wishing everyone a wonderful day

Jazzy how exciting to meet him--another highlight in u'r trip. I thought u were going to say well the next morning when we woke up--but then u went into a n article u read--now that was a let down. Keep safe and happy.
Oh I was busy today, I forget people are home scrolling thru the internet looking for people to do work for them, not usually an emergency but just getting things ready for the summer. But I guess it really doesn't matter to me, so what's the difference.
Hey everybody, I am waving.
