Hi ladies!  Sorry I've been absent, but I have been reading.

    Tazzy; hope you're mending well.

websister; I have some excess belly blubber for you as well.

marianeliz; montana is beautiful - hope your enjoying your retreat. I remember when you were selected. (Wow time goes fast!)

ramols: I miss you - let's meet up again SOON!

    aruba; wedding photos please!?

my anniversary came and went.  my surgery anniversary is coming on the 26th.  I bought tickets to go see Peter Frampton and the Doobie Bros with my DH.  :-)  Anything is better then dwelling, right. Hopefully they haven't lost their voices!!  Then off to the Outer Banks on holiday for the july 4th week.

So I officially HATE MY JOB!  I hate my new boss and last week they relocated my seat into a shared room with this guy I very much dislike (I thin the feeling is mutual). AND I got my rveiew and with it a 1.69% raise (after 18 months here - my first raise, what a joke!). I am now very actively searching for a new job.  I'm pretty much done here.

The goods news is that a new job might bring a raise because this house needs new siding and windows and it may be a bit more then we thought initially!

I miss my ladies.... let's make a date.... Wednesday nights?? What do you say??

Good Morning! It feels like this year has flown by in warp speed.

As always, when I count my blessings, I start with all of you.

I survived my round of doctors appts, blood work etc. with no incidents. That works for me! That Happy will last a full six months for me.

Wishing you all the very best and a very Merry Holiday season.

Know I have been MIA for ever, but really do think of you often.  And how far we have come from 2012.... crap - where did that time go.

Hope you all had a great Christmas or whatever any of you may celebrate (if anything).   Here's to us all and you and yours in 2015.  To another safe and healthy 2015.

A friend of mine is going through treatment right now. Should finish chemo at the end of the month ex for Herceptin which will continue, then they expect to do an MS and rads. I hate that she's having to go through this...

But even worse is this. Elissa was the daughter of a cousin of mine. Young enough to be my daughter. She leaves two daughters of her own. I can go days, weeks without letting the darkness cover me but some days are bad. You know?

Cindy - sending positive vibes over to your friend - that just sucks.  I am so sorry to hear about your cousins daughter.   This is a horrible, horrible disease and very unfair.  Hugs

Tazzy can you post the Canadian thread name? Seem to have removed it from my favourites by mistake.

Hello my wonderful BC sisters! It's been too long ... I've been bad but you are always on my mind and in my heart.

We've been in Laughlin since January. Leaving today for a short trip to see friends in St George, Utah. I'm sad to even leave for a few days.

Christy - good luck on your upcoming surgery and great news about Taylor's travel plans.

Juneau - congrats on your new job. The stress will lessen, it's like learning to tie your shoes for the first time.

Everyone has been quiet. I hope everyone is just busy. I'm feeling great - a little fluffy. Thank you Arimidex!

Aruba and I are getting together again at the end of April. I can't wait!!!!

I know we are all getting on with our lives but I do miss our conversations! I also miss the Canadian thread that was deleted. As Tazy says, the weather in BC is great.

I agree Marian.  I do miss our conversations too.   But on the flip side happy to see that life does go on and we can all enjoy our lives and family again.

Terrible news Marian about that Oil Leak in English Bay.... apparently now reaching North Shore.  Awful beyond words.

Hello 2012 sisters. Hard to believe that 4 years ago yesterday I was diagnosed. How far we have come. I know I don't post a lot but will never forget the bond we share and how we all got each other through the hard times, shared the good times and laughs.

Here's to a happy healthy 2016 and many more to come.

Tazzy, congrats on 4 years. I read often, but seldom post. But I always like seeing the people who first helped me. It is hard to believe how much time has passed. Good for all of us.

    Good Morning 2012 Sisters!

I had my 4 1/2 year check up this week. IDC, Stage 2b, grade 2, 1/7n nodes, ER+/PR+, HER2-, right side, double mastectomy 3/12, Arimidex started 6/12. Yes my only treatment is hormone treatment. I am taking part in a clinical trial. No return of my cancer and little side effects.

When I was diagnosed my oncologist said she would not have done chemo anyway. At my checkup this week she said since I did not receive chemo like she would have recommended she is keeping me on the arimidex for another 5 years which is fine with me. So for 3 days now all I have done is worry. So I talked to my best friend who this year is a 10 year survivor ( YAY ) and had almost the same diagnosis as me. She did not have chemo either but did have radiation but also had a lumpectomy instead of mastectomy. So I was wondering if anyone else has had or knows someone who had surgery and hormone therapy and how they are doing.

When I originally had to decide whether to do a lumpectomy, right mastectomy, or double, it was the help of other ladies who had already made this decision and posted on this website that helped me make mine. I am forever grateful. You ladies are wonderful and I applaud you and thank you for taking the time to keep up with this site.

hi klustutz... I'm sorry I can't help. I had umx and chemo. Wish I'd skipped the chemo. My body will never recover from it. Arthritis at 48! Sending love and good vibes your way!

had to back to my roots for some holiday cheer. Just had mammogram and they want to biopsy an area of calcification. Don't know much about calcifications, but the fact they want to do a biopsy does not give ne a good feeling. Add to that I can't get in until January 5th and for the second time in four years my Christmas sucks. Starting to hate the holidays. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Kkiziel:i just had a ultrasound because I felt a bit of discomfort at an exam. But they didn't find anything.

Try to enjoy your holiday and don't worry about what you can't do anything about right now anyway. Xoxo

Kkuziel, it does suck but like juneau says, try to enjoy and stay busy.

I am having surgery Monday after a long wait-list for a cleanup of crazy cording and contractures and changing out implants. Almost 3 years since exchange Can't wait!

    Merry Christmas everyone!

Got a call today from nurse navigator. She said the surgeon will do the biopsy without seeing me in the office first since he already knows me. So I said I'd take the first thing available. Tomorrow, Tuesday. It's what I wanted, but now I'm wishing I had just let it be. In 10 days I'll know. Might wish to have put it off for a bit longer. Oh well the wheels turning, and there's no stopping it now.

Forgot to thank you all for the words of encouragement. I'm a terrible adult, and this cancer stuff requires an adult. I'm more like a child who wants to avoid the scary stuff.

Kkuziel - in your pocket {{{squeeze}}}. Being an adult can be over rated...sending calm peaceful thoughts&sprayers. Ugh,...4 yrs and now in the wait zone...speedy results.

30 hours post op now and feeling dozy. 2 hour surgery and was last of the day so I feel that PS was not rushed and I had a friend change shifts so she could be my recovery nurse. Lots of great coloured bruises including the fat grafting sites. So glad it is over!

KKuziel, hoping to hear good news from you too!

marianelizabeth, glad things went well. Biopsy was smooth sailing, better when you know what to expect. They took out all four pieces of calcification in the biopsy. So it's now gone, unfortunately they were together, which is probably considered a "cluster" not encouraging, but I really shouldn't read into it. Get results December 22. Merry Christmas
