A couple of things. I'm on using Chrome on my Android phone. I can't find the log in button. I'm constantly having to go into a thread and click "log on to reply" before I can log in. Also, the system logs me out as soon as I close the browser.
The system is very slow, which is a hassle but, I'm assuming that will be fixed once the bugs are worked out.

Click on any username to bring up the login page.
ETA- or the tedious click the menu in the upper right. Then click Community. Pain, I know.

In addition to seeing the same problems here that others have mentioned, I am also seeing that sometimes, depending on what page layout one is looking at at a given time, the white arrow in the dark circle at the bottom right will cover up the page number for the final page number in a series, and then it cannot be clicked on to move forward to carry over comments.
Via all sorts of circuitous routing, I am able sometimes to arrive at another page layout of the same comments page, that has the number series slightly away from the arrow in the circle, and then I can click to see the last page in a series. However, that often involves going through a crazy bunch of page changes that are often met with "access denied" messages. Sometimes the "next" option is not covered by the arrow, so instead of clicking on the page number I want, I've tried clicking the "next" option feature in hopes that that will take me to that final numbered page in a series. Unfortunately, clicking "next" does absolutely nothing - doesn't even give you an "access denied" message. Just nothing.
I suggest that Beesie and summerangel be put in charge of this project (smile). BCO - offer them a job, please! (wink).
Copying my post now, as never know what will happen during that long slow "submit" process ...

I'm on a Mac. This is how I'm able to get on this site. On the announcement page, upper right corner, I see sign in. Doesn't really catch your eye. In order for me to sign out, upper right hand corner I have a K which is what's in my avatar circle. Click on it. You get the about you stuff on the left. Scroll down and you'll see sign out. This definitely makes you jump through more hoops.
I would like to see some color, besides the ads, BCO's logo and Donate, to pop the pages.
On a bright note, my pages are loading faster today.
-
Another oddity... When I log in I land at the place below. It never changes although it looks like those boxes should show something. I finally found the Community link the first time but it always makes me pause when I need to log in...
-
no way to edit my account info to private. This is an immediate issue.
-
Updates to my profile (finally got HER2 results) don't display on my signature
No way to edit my signature
-
The only setting that gives me the option of going private is Birthday. Everything else is set to public, including my email address. I just wiped it out and put a BS one in.
I have now tried Chrome and Firefox via PC and can't change my settings to Private.
Figured out the log in issue, you have to go through BCO to log in...I used to be able to log in on the community.breastcancer.org page.

When someone posts a picture or meme; it is too big to fit on my phone screen (but not my laptop) and I have to shrink my screen down if I want to see the whole picture. If I want to post a picture from my phone, I also have to blown up my screen to use the drop files icon (or any of the rest of the icons as they are too small), then I have to shrink everything back down to type everything.
I also want the option of clicking a button to go back to the top of the page (as it was previously) instead of having to scroll all the way up again.

Just adding my voice to others frustrated with the new format. I have a difficult time finding a place to Log In. Then I have further problems finding my Favorites. Loading speed is incredibly slow and the white background is not easy on my old eyes.
I used to drop in several times a day but find I am not visiting often since the new format was introduced. Oh well, I’ve been telling myself that I need to wean myself from BCO. Maybe this change will provide the impetus to do that. I’m definitely not a fan of any of the changes that were made -
Dear Members,

I don't know if it is written before but profile pictures are looking terrible. My face is looking like a ball, lol.
I agree with jkl2017 and others above, not logging in as often as I am used to either, the colors are not eye friendly and it is very slow.
-
It took so long to load this Glitches page I thought the link wasn't working.
Hate everything about this new set up. The link to My Favorite Topics has disappeared again. Nothing is easy to find, wasn't able to find the Log Out page so when I came back today found out I was still logged in from 2 days ago. Probably won't be able to log out today either.
-
Moderators, you said three days ago that the tech team was working on all the mess they created. I waited three days before logging in again, and a considerable delay in loading pages, see absolutely no improvement, just additional problems. Now it's stretching even what I type over the width of the page on my laptop!! I now have to scroll left and right to read my own posts!!!!! BCO needs to just back out of this poorly designed, extremely poorly executed, unnecessary "update" (certainly can't be called an upgrade!!), and give us back what worked before March 1. Stop frustrating the very people you claim you want to help. All I see is your huge red "donation" button not a workable discussion board!!!!!!!!! Enough is enough! Time to boycott??
-
This happened on weight watchers years ago and there were free proboards created in the US and Canada that are still going strong with many members.
-
It just took me another 20 minutes to navigate to and read a few new posts on four different threads. Twice I waited minutes for the pages to load only to receive "access denied" errors!!!!!!! How long will it take to post this? I'm going to wait a few more days before trying again and hope I will not encounter this nonworking mess again! Why wasn't this beta tested before inflicting this on everyone?
-
Some things I've noticed about the new site. First is that all of our avatars are gone. I can't figure out who's who just by seeing their avatar. I hope those come back.
The second thing I noticed is that as soon as I log in so I can comment, everything locks up and takes forever to load.
I'm not a fan of the font either. Too fine and light and faint. Makes it very difficult to read, especially with all the changes to my vision from chemo.
And I'm unable to find my favorites as well.
-
Everything is white, no contrast. Most specifically “new” on the favorites page used to be highlighted and easy to see, now it’s horrible. And the page number is underlined instead of highlighted, horrible. And of course the crazy load times.
-
I don’t recall the number of posts being listed on each post. That needs to go.
-
The lag time is unbearable! Not a fan of the new format. In my opinion, you should go back to the old format. At least until the bugs are worked out and the new site can be fully debugged. Maybe also test the site with some volunteers from the page?
(although unlike jrnj said above, I do like the number of posts listed. I don't see what is wrong with that. You could always see that number in the overview of threads)
It was said it would speed up today and I don't see that has happened. It is still painfully slow.
-
One more comment, my picture is now distorted. Stretched from side to side!
-
I belong to a couple of other forums—unrelated to bc—and they are so much easier to navigate and scroll through, so much more colorful and readable. I’m disappointed, frustrated and sad about the new format.
-
I'm sorry, but I'm not a fan of the new format; it starts with the sterile white (not friendly) background, lag time is frustrating, not reader friendly. Using Chrome with Windows.
-
Joining the crowd. This stinks. Interesting that the most colorful thing on the whole site is your big red DONATE button. PLEASE go back to having the “NEW” highlighted somehow so its easy to see which of my favorites have new posts. And please do something about the font/background color - I am literally getting a headache from this. Although I’m with one of the previous posters - it will be a lot easier to wean off of this site if some changes are not made. What was wrong with the old format? Ever heard the saying, “If it ain't broke, dont fix it”?
-
It would be nice to just revert to the old site.
-
I spent a very long time waiting while the pages loaded. It doesn't make it easy to just click once and wait for a long time. Also, would be nice to have an eye-friendly background color.
-
Unless there was a legal reason that y'all needed to change the site up (e.g. the contract on your system support ended, and they took their code with them), please seriously consider calling it a wash and reverting to the previous format. Few were complaining before, and it worked very well for our purposes.
We're on plenty of medications as it is. We don't need to add blood pressure meds on top of everything else.
-
I agree with Miranda. It is painfully obvious this 'soft launch' has been a disaster. Is there any way to put this back into beta testing so it can be reworked? The business of this forum is to provide information and support to those of us who have experienced breast cancer. This mission has been cast aside in the unwieldy workings of this new website. We have not only new users who could use our support but also veterans who need to vent and/or find information for their next steps. Moderators, can we please have the previous website back until your back stage people can get this worked out?
-
Why on earth is there a five line alphanumeric pile-up where Divine's photo should be, and it runs down onto her user name?
-
I just checked Divine’s post. It’s showing as a grey circle on my iPad. This launch needs to be taken down and for each “correction” being made going on all devices being used by members to see if they hold their format. What a waste of money for this so-called improvement
