4TH TA TAS SISTERHOOD REUNION IN VEGAS!!!!!
Comments

Are there any golfers in the group?? One of my cousins would be up for a round of golf if there is anyone else that would like to go.
-
ATTENTION LADIES! If you are coming to the 4th TA TAS Sisterhood Reunion this year I need you to send me a Private Message (PM) ASAP with your Screen Name and your Real First Name. I will be taking care of the name tags this year.
(example: Journey / Gretchen )
If you still have the clear plastic name badge holder from last year and don't mind using it again it sure would help me! Please just add that to your info on your message.
PLEASE, PLEASE get your message to me by this Sunday 8/26 if at all possible. I will ask my niece to make a beautiful name tag again this year and she needs time to do them and get them shipped back up to me. Thank you !!!!!!
-
Forgot to mention that if there is someone coming with you who will want a name tag please include their first name and relationship - example might be ( Nancy - Journey's sister).
And for the newbies we typically don't wear the tags all the time. It's great for the Meet N Greet on the first night and maybe breakfast the next morning. Actually I could use them all the time since my brain is fuzzier, but being from the south I might just call you "honey" and get away with it!
LOL xoxoxoxo -
HEY SISTERS!!!!
HOPE EVERYONE IS GREAT!!! I WAS ABLE TO GET US A SWEET DEAL AT THE PIANO BAR! THEY ARE GONNA GIVE US $10 OFF REGULAR PRICE SO WE WILL ONLY BE PAYING $15 EACH AT THE DOOR!!!! YAY US! WE CAN START ARRIVING AT 8:00PM SATURDAY NIGHT (that doesn't mean we have to be there on the dot). ALSO WE DO HAVE THE SEATED SIDE. THEY DO HAVE A NEW RULE NOW. THEY NOW DO ONLY ONE CHECK FOR LARGE GROUPS BUT AFTER BEGGING AND PLEADING THEY HAVE AGREED TO LET US DO 1 CHECK PER TABLE. THAT SHOULD BE A WHOLE LOT EASIER THAN 1 BIG CONFUSING CHECK! I TRIED HARD FOR INDIVISUAL CHECKS BUT THEY COULD ONLY MEET ME HALF WAY WHICH I THINK IS FAIR ENOUGH.
LOOKING FOWARD TO SEEING ALL OF YOU!
HUGS AND LOVE!
Tracey -
Thank you Tracey! Might be worth budgeting our available cash for this night to pay our table tabs as well as entrance fee.

Me, Clare, Janet & a friend of Janets-Christine!! I feel so Special, both gals made awesome suggestions to help me be able to go!! Smoke free hotel, the Hilton which is across the street from the Planet Hollywood! Taxi everywhere, bring a mask for those moments, carry my nebulizor in my cute kittybackpack for just incase & so I don't have to run back to the room for a treatment!! I'm excited beyond words. Were all signed up for name tags, the events, hotel list for Tracey!!
Also I know that alot of you are wanting to see Menopause-DITTO ME TOO!! I made a couple of phone calls & got a number to try & see if we can get a group discount...making the call tomorrow, they were closed tonite!! However I do need to let you know how sweet the 2 different gals were that I chatted to & positive responce we got as a group!! One of them (Laura) who works at the place where the show is, she remember's seeing the t-shirts last year when I describbed them to her, she lost her Mom to Breast Cancer-small world. I told her to wave at us if she sees us again!! We had a special moment sharing our stories!!-for some of you newbies-I am no wall flower-I stand out in a crowd & if not try to make sure I do
Laughter has & will always be my best way to deal with LIFE. I have a big Mouth & Thank you God, due to it have been blessed to meet many wonderful people just by opening up about me...That's ME!!WOW 35 days till the TA TA SISTERHOOD 4th REUNION, I love doing the countdown & was getting excited for all ofyou going & now, Major goose bumps, cause I get to go!!!!!

Ok Girls, just got off the phone with "LINDA" who is in charge of group discounts!! She offered us a great deal & we can seat together!! She said it is better to seat back abit like in rows E F & G cause the 1st couple of rows the music is LOUD!! So...here is the deal for 15 gals or more we can get in for $46.20 each. Has to be purchased at the same time & the sooner the better. I know that a couple of you have already gotten their tickets, I'm sure you can seat with the group, she had asked how many bought theirs already & I wasn't sure & told her I believe only about 3. I am willing to purchase the tickets since I spoke with her. I need all those interested in this to PM me so I can get a list going & the amount of ladies to make this happen, since Vegas is around the corner, I need to hear from you by the 29th of this month, will make the deadline the same as the hotel so I can call her on the 30th. Once I have the group confirmed, will let you know if we made the group discount!! I will post this on the TA TA Site on FB as well!! We can work out the details of re-payment after I know we got it!!
Take care Chow GOD BLESS

Hadley, I'm so sorry. I have four children myself and understand your desires. I hope all works out well for you.
-
Hi Hadley. I am so very sorry you are facing this. When do you get tested again? Please know that although on this thread we are celebrating our reunion we are also a true sisterhood. We are here for you! The weird thing about our cancer is that you can put 50 of us in a room and you will hear 50 different journeys. We are here to lift you up but may or may not have specific advice. I'm am sure as the new day dawns you will hear from more of us. Hang in there We will be laughing and crying together soon. Xoxo
-
Hadley, For me, don't know about the others, but your above post was scanned over because I thought it was just about Menopause...sometimes you have to put it in darkened letters or separate the topics in paragraphs. So so sorry dear.
I am sorry you are facing this. I am praying that you will not have to go though the hysterectomy. We are here for each other. Keep us posted.
Linda

Jennifer: Good for you, girl...I can't wait to see you!! She is great!! Hi to RoseMarie!!
Susie : Thanks for everything!! I'm so glad you're coming!!
Hadley: Hang in there...Whatever comes, it is for the best.. I know how hard this is for you, but try to remember the good side. We're with you. Judy
-
Hadley,
I am so very sorry your dealing with this.....when I posted the bit about the show, I thought I had caught up with all the post's & didn't go to see what was last, which was yours..... Please know that I, WE are all pulling for you & just like Journey said.....we all have different Journey's but can share them & find the support & love we need. We all came together due to BC, but found we have a much stronger link......SISTERHOOD!!! I ended up with some side effects from the Tamoxfin & sadly they will never go away, but....not to the degree that you are facing!! POWER PRAYERS & {{HUGS}}
Take care Chow GOD BLESS

Hadley I pray everynight and I always pray for all the tata's that are going through rough times... I also had a hysterectomy when I was 37.. I had pre-cancerous cells on my uterus and after having 3-4 procedures ended up in the ER with a huge melon sized dermoid in my uterus. I actually when through labor with it..Sounds so strange but true. They rushed me into the OR to remove it and had to wait 6 month to perform a hysterctomy because of scar tissue.. I feel for you..
Best of luck!{{{{{HUGS}}}}

ATTENTION ALL VEGAS ATTENDEES! Ladies just a reminder if you will be joining us in Vegas ths year I need to hear from you today if you have NOT already contacted me on FB or on BCO! If you have sent me a message and I have responded then all is well and you will have a printed name tag. Thank you!
-
Hadley keep your head up.. Good luck!

SEEKING CAR POOL: I will be driving to Vegas from Southern California (Riverside) sometime Friday, and returning sometime Monday. Times are flexible but let's account for traffic. I would love to have a car pool buddy from somewhere not TOO far. I am willing to pick you up at or near your home in the Riverside area or nearby, or along the route. Please PM me.
I have an excellent driving record and drive a very reliable 2006 Toyota Corrolla with a/c (in case you are worried). Gas is cheap 38 mpg!
If someone already has a car pool I can hop in, also PM me.
Thanks. It's such a long and boring drive if you don't have someone to sing along with on the tunes!!!
-
Hadley - So sorry for what you are having to go through. Here's hoping for the absolute best for you! And thanks for suggesting the Menopause show - I'm definitely in for that!
Susie - Thanks for organizing the "Menopause" group (wait, that doesn't sound right...!)
Tracey - Thanks for getting us all set up for the piano bar! Should be loads of fun!
Linda - The pink boa is a brilliant idea! Hmmm...might have to make room in my luggage for one of those!
-
Linda -- quick!!! I need to lose 15 lbs between now and Vegas. What do I do?!?!?
xoxoxo LOL!!!!! Can't wait to see you!!!!! -
Linda -- quick!!! I need to lose 15 lbs between now and Vegas. What do I do?!?!?
xoxoxo LOL!!!!! Can't wait to see you!!!!! -
Colleen....you could run a marathon.....just kidding
Start NOW....eating clean....write down everything you put into your mouth. No sweets, drink only water, no hamburgers and fries, no fried chicken....do not eat in restaurants...watch your salt intake......stay far away from all processed foods. add exercise to this....at least 30 mins a day. I believe you can lose those 15 lbs in 30 days but you have got to stick to it for those days....then you can let loose in Vega$.....put up signs to remind you...on the fridge, in your pantry even in your car....No fast food or colas!!!!!......then you will need to go shopping for new clothes to pack for the trip LOL
cannot wait to see you....the new you!!! ;-)
