Hello sisters, please help.......Laura is correct, if we do not have a count we cannot make reservations. If we do not make the reservations soon we will not find space in the places we want to go. The weekend we are going is a busy weekend so the sooner we do this the better.
Thank you all for your help, I cannot wait to see you all again and meet the newcomers in Vegas...
Hugs

So I am trying to update my avatar and it gives me a message that "is not included in the list" Does anybody knows what that means????
-
wondering if anyone else will be flying in on Thurs afternoon?....would be nice to share a Taxi...****do not post your arrival time here...send a private message to me****
Gisella, cannot wait to see you again and give you and all the others newbies and oldies a big hug.
I requested payment for my Visa rewards...the check came in and I cashed it for all $5 bills...I already have lots of $1 bills.....so newbies you need to have plenty of ones and fives for taxi's and the slots....
I am bringing just a carry-on again...but this time I am bringing a backpack instead of my purse...it will hold lots of stuff and it will easily slide under the seat in front of me on the plane. I never used my large purse while in Vegas anyway...
wahoooooo Vegas here we come....7 weeks and we will be cruising Vegas and then get ready for the piano bar on Satty night....we had a blast at the piano bar.....where can I find a pink boa? LOL

Cheryl... Good to see that you and your mom are staying in Bally's now we not where we can meet for late night drinks.. Though I am probably in bed before both of you... I still think of your mom wanting to wear her pretty bra to the pool.. She is too cute!

You ROCK!!!!! Laura (both Lauras)..... Please make sure you PM Laura for your participation count. If we do not count you in and make reservations with fewer spaces than needed, we may have an issue getting into the venues we want to attend.

Thank you to all who are working behind the scene to help make this happen again! You Do ROCK! I just returned from a nice trip to NYC with my hubby. My luggage decided to stay another day and party. Just got it back. Soooo this is making me rethink how I want to pack for Vegas. I can probably get enough shoes & clothes in a carry on but need to figure out how to get all my "goo" (hubby's word) on the plane too. Lotions, potions and make up - oh my! Linda how do you do it?

Gretchen,
You must have missed my post where I suggested carrying a backpack instead of a purse. You are allowed one carry on and a purse or whatever a man carries....so you can substitute a backpack for your purse. I did not do this last time and managed to bring everything I needed (even my little electric fan) in my carry on. I saw other people with backpacks and decided that's what I will do. A backpack will fit under the seat in front of you on the plane and it will hold lots more than a big purse....
-
Hi Linda, yes I did see your post and thus my question... I guess if I can cram everything into 3 oz containers and all into a one quart baggie I can do it. Just never tried it before. I do like the idea of the backpack in place of the purse for the flight and have done that before. Honestly I don't like the idea of a carry on with my LE issues, but after losing my luggage for 1&1/2 days this week it has given me pause. Night ladies!
-
I always fly with a backpack. I put my purse in it along with reading materials, etc. Easier to carry something on your back than on your arms for an extended period of time. Oh yes.....all of my meds go into the backpack along with my compression sleeve and glove. I never put my meds in my check-in baggage.
-
citykitty - I am sending you a PM
-
OMGOSH....can ya all believe Vegas is only 44 days away, some of you 43??!! It's coming up fast & reading your posts about traveling made me think about acouple of things that some of you newbies might find useful & those of you haven't traveled in a while.
NO more than 3 oz is correct & you need to keep those handy cause they need to see them. Perhaps put them in a see thru big plastic bag, that's what I do. Then in case you use a breathing machine-they need to see that as well. My husband brought a tube that wasn't liquid, but for muscle pain & it showed up strange to them, so had to re-go thru. If you bring your laptops, make sure you roll your cords.....that's what we were told at the San Diego airport. I've never been patted down before & was at our Portland airport & saw many getting patted down at San Diego....including a 80 year old man...top to bottom.
ON a quick Fun note....if some of you do happen to go & see Menopause...Please let me know how it was!!! I've heard nothing but great things about it!! A awesome group of ladies here belongin to the RED HATS-we did a lip sing routine to one of the songs from it & was deicated to my MOM 0:) who we had just lost-we did her proud!! Funny great song! SO....just curious how great the show is to one of the sista's here!!
Take care Chow GOD BLESS
{{HUGS}} XOXO Susie
