4TH TA TAS SISTERHOOD REUNION IN VEGAS!!!!!

OK ladies here is my 2 cents on packing. I had the experience of a suitcase make it to Argentina, stop in Bolivia before it made it back to USA in Miami then to MI where I was at. Since that date when I travel, I make sure I keep 2 changes of clothes, 1 PJ and shoes in my carry on (if I am on a business trip one change is clothes I can wear to a meeting). I pack liquids that I can purchase in a hurry in my destination, in my suitcase, I pack my make up in my carry on.
When I traveled a lot I used to be able to pack for a week in my carry on, now I really do not bother mostly because I do not want to make up my mind on outfits. Always carry meds if I am taking something on my back pack. I always carry a back pack and like Jancie put my purse in the back pack.
Hope this help
I cannot wait to see you and once again a shout out to the Lauras and of course my partner in crime Tracey....
Hugs.
G.
ps. Also thank you to all of you that have pm'd me to volunteer. The last piece of the puzzle is name tags...Is anybody good making name tags? Let me know.
-
Hmmm maybe we should all get pink fuzzy hats!!!
-
NO to hats - wore way too many while on chemo and until hair grew back. MY 2 cents worth.

Seen Menopause last year and it was hilarious!!!!
-
Okay, I'm in! I sent PM to Tracey and Estepp (sorry I don't know names, yet)
Working on a roomie and possible carpool from southern California.
I had planned to confirm sooner but have had some treatment issues lately. I spent the last 2 weeks in the hospital ending with an implant removal. I have to wait 3 months to restart my reconstruction. I need this trip now, more than EVER! I need the fun, the friendship, the letting loose and the understanding that 'hey, I'm not a freak because I have only one TA TA' weekend.
So excited that I am finally able to commit. I'm a newbie and need to know what is my next step? (oh, buy at T-shirt.....)
I'd like to see Menopause the musical and definitely plan to ZIPPP my way down Freemont St.!
-
Vegas? wow sounds like soooooo much fun... wish i could be there.. ill try to get a purple bubble to float me over

Request!!!
Pics with Elvis impersonators!
Suggestion...
instead of pink hats/boa .. how about a pink flower?

In your hair.. pinned to lapels... Mini carnations smell so pretty and represent womens love and a pink ones says "i'll never for get you"
Have fun ladies!!
PS: 44 days??? now this is a waiting room!!!!!
-
I have a pink scarf/shawl and couple of other pink scarves. Will most have Save the TaTas shirt on Saturday night? Sorry, but this is my first reunion trip. Allergic to feathers, so no boa for me. Pain in the tush -- that's me, LOL....
-
GramE - everyone will be wearing the tata t-shirts on saturday night. You could always just buy a black t-shirt or a tank and bling it out yourself if you wish.
-
Thanks Jancie -- I can do bling...
-
GramE - go to www.savethetatas.com and look at item #1205126B - if you are crafty you can bling out like this one which is the one that most of the women wear. Just want to make sure you feel comfortable any way you want to approach it - buy the shirt or bling one out yourself.
-
Thanks again. I have a Save the TaTa shirt and a Survivior one also.
-
The tank top is 20% off right now, with promotion code TANKTOP.
-
There is a showing for Menopause at the Luxor at 5:30 on Saturday - 9/29 the site below has discounted prices... Who's in?
-
JkZ - I wouldn't mind seeing Menopause - in fact it is the only show I am interested in seeing but can we get to the Piano Bar on time?
-
What day do u think will be good? Im in any day.
-
I actually think that the show at 5:30 pm on Saturday is a great time because it doesn't interfere with all of the other events planned. I just looked it up and it is 90 minutes long so we would get out of there at 7pm which is time to grab a bite to eat and get to the Piano Bar which although it starts at 9 pm - we usually try to get there around 8 - 8:30 pm so they can't give our seats away - at least that is what I remember.
However, last year I had WAAAAYYYYY to much to drink and PackerGirl and SandySunshine had to make sure I got back safely. That was the first time that I ever was in a predicament all of the years I have gone.
Oh wait....and that was the year I also left my credit card at the bar on Sunday night and I think Packer had to sign my charge and leave a tip. As usual I sneak out of there on Sunday to get some last minute penny slot machine gambling done as we leave on Monday.
So bottom line - I am totally in to see Menopause. I have wanted to see it for years and it seems like the perfect show for all of us. I need to find some humor in waking up with sweat dripping off of me every freaking night at least 2x per night.
I did buy a memory foam pillow that has a cooling gel pad in it on one side to help keep my head cold but I sure wish I could find a way to freeze it instead. It doesn't work as well as I had hoped it would.
-
jancie: Wet some washcloths, wring out till not dripping. Put one at a time in plastic baggies (one per bag) and freeze. (leave in plastic bag) - Slip under pillow cover and relief is on the way.
-
GramE - wonderful suggestion. I will try that tonight.
Hadley - yes on wearing the t-shirts to Menopause as we will be heading straight to the Piano Bar from there.
I didn't look to see where Menopause was playing (which casino)
-
I'm in for Menopause!
(that sounds strange)
-
Menopause is playing at the luxor. Getting my tickets this weekend! 530 show on saturday
-
JkZ - will go ahead and get my tickets this weekend also. What do you do about seating? How do we work it so we are all sitting together?
-
Wow this all looks like fun. I would go if I can find a room mate. Any ideas?
Ray -
Ray - just PM Tracey who started the thread - she can help you out!
-
I'm in for the Menopause show. Will check to see if Sylvia wants to go as well. She doesn't come on the boards much so I'll call her.
Terri
-
Gisella just wanted to say thanks for your packing tips! Think that is the way I'll go this year.
So ladies it looks like 40 days till meet n greet! -
40 Days... WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Gisella..... the count above is all I can get response on !!!!!! I would add 5 to each number and run with that number !!!!!!!!
-
What do you ladies think of this deal? Mostly all positive feedback so its gotta be good.
-
I have seen the Bodies Exhibit. You will enjoy it. Not into Titanic, myself.
