what a gorgeous picture. Would love to go to sleep looking at that every night....how peaceful and breathtaking!

Susan, I've done a fair amount of social isolation. Just done with the comments that are on the Bingo card. Guess that's why I reposted it so many places. It said it all in a small amount of space. I agree with Scutlers that marking them off and declaring BINGO would turn it around. Not sure if that makes sense. Guessing as I mull it over, it allows a bit more control over the exchange. The answers that are snarky are nice to talk here, but I can't do them in real life. But with the card, the absurdity through laughter changes the power of the words.
Here we can say anything, anywhere, and we all get it. From the first time we hear cancer, till the lasts words we share.
With Dear Brother Charlie, by nature he's used to being in control. He's going to have a tough time adjusting. Still mulling on how to deal with him. It's not going to continue as is, but I'm a time and distance muller. I'll give it a few weeks before I decide what's best.
-
Susan, how's it going with your Mom?

This is outside of Helene Montana, taken by James Ridle I think. Sent to my Twitter.

WOW Goats. Just WOW!!

public television I'll eat What Phils Eating. Not the alley but the second gourmet setting. hard to believe the food. Salad served on a piece of wood that has a microphone that is sounds of the forest. The salad is made to look like a forest. Chirping, cricket's waterfall----Tokyo

love khol's!!! Dangerous place for me!! I just bought a new quilt from wayfair. Their prices are so cheap! I hope the reviews are correct and I get a good product...if so, that will also be dangerous!

Sassy- not sure you know the comedian Bill Maher (he has his own show on HBO), but he has that saying all the time. As harsh as it sounds sometimes, some people just don't deserve our presence.
I will try to get to Warm and Fuzzies. Heading out of town in a day or so and have to get ready to go.....

Hey Owlettes, aren't Jazzy's pics UNREAL! I lived on both sides of the Organ Mountains, on the missile range side (east) when my Dad was still in the Navy, and after he retired we moved to the other side, to Las Cruces, where I graduated high school then quickly hightailed out of there! I hated it. My dad lived there until he died in 2009, age 95. I went back a couple of times to visit.
Sassy, I have been considering joining the Y, we have a park nearby with a brand new inside pool and exercise area, all under Y sponsorship, but the hard part is peeling myself out of my chair to actually go. (Oh, and leaving Rose, who has such separation anxiety.) Now that I have a car and can drive, I'm realizing what a hermit I really am.
-
Jazzy and Goats, beautiful pics. Have a fun and safe trip, Jazzy!!!
Ms. Chevy, thank you for the article. Enlightening and heart breaking at the same time.
Mag, swimming is good exercise for people with joints problems. You are right about getting going. It is the hardest part.
Enerva, very nice and sexy.
Susan, I admire your strength and perspective of life.
Sleep deprived....😵

Tonight the moon was white and electric ringed by clouds... so beautiful. I am just amazed at how the moon changed color yesterday the deep orange, reflected light, shaddows then later the slivers of white to full on. Such a short time and so dramatic in the sky. We sure were lucky to have clear skies to see it. Jazzy your photos are wonderful and I love the comment about trash taking itself out. I very much culled out the relationships that pulled me down and aggrevated/ used up more energy then they were worth.
I miss my energy level and stamina most these days. I ventured out to do 2 errands and found after an hour walking and doing a few things that when I came to write my name on the slip to pay... my hndwriting was so deteriorated and shaky that the girl looked at the back of the card and the slip and muttered ok. Oy... made it home, cramps and diarrhea. Put stuff away and crashed. Fluid off tomorrow and I can't wait floating. This has been a long long journey going on 9 years. Today I feel like I am floating on a raft in moderate white water.. I was supposed to go watch DD3 play socccer but the D nixed that. Dad went to save the day. I can't get anything done, except sleep.

jazzy, not posting pics now, in a few weeks. Think gallery for posterity. The reason to do it in a few weeks is because by then you will have collected oodles. Then we link the first page in the topic box. Anyone going to w&f''s say three years from now, would be able to find "The Gallery of the Superblood Moon". You could have different rooms within the gallery. Something artsy, cool to separate the pictures. Have a music link in the room that ca be submerged for background ambience while in the room. hmm music specially chosen for that gallery. Best thing late to do it late at night so when posting, the rooms link box to box. A room could be all city related. Sequences. Mountain views. People things related to the eclipse, stuff from nasa.gov page. I'll do it if you don' have time. But you have such a great eye.. I can show you how to create a private thread where you could play with how you would like the gallery rooms to look. Key would have te done at your convenience, and fun.

Jazzy- Yes I did.
Kohl's and Cabela's are dangerous places for me. I just bought new dishes this weekend from Cabela's.
-
Susan! One time I accidentally left a bag of frozen Broccoli in the trunk of the car! After a few days, I checked out the smell, and nearly gagged!
-
Sassy- sounds good. Gallery for posterity. I like that!
Rosevalley- glad you were able to get out, but it sounds like you need some relief from the fluid again. I hope the draining today is easy and you can rest after. I remember you said the body has to adjust after that. Sending you love and comfort today.

Another one, close up of the moon coming up behind the Sandias. I watched it Sunday night and know it was this huge and bright.
-
And finally, before I run off for the day, some examples of what NOT do do when decorating a cake. Enjoy
-
Lol thanks jazz have a amazing trip
-
Susan- we have a pond. Our dogs love to drink the pond water which results in diarrhea! The fish do fine in the pond. Anyway we keep the pond fenced off, but sometimes the dogs get in. So there have been accidents in the house. Well I went to a vaccuum place and got this fantastic product called liquid ALIVE. It is a bio-digester, enzymes and all. We put this in our carpet machine and voila no stink- no nothing! I also use it to pretreat areas that have food or smell. It seems that you could get rid of the sour milk smell in your car using some of this product. Good luck.

Have you guys seen this?
Umbrella Trick
There were protesters at the
grocery store handing out pamphlets on the evils of
America. I politely declined to take
one. There was an elderly woman
behind me and a young (20-ish) female protester offered her a
pamphlet, which she also politely declined. The young protester
put her hand on the old woman's shoulder as a gesture of
friendship and in a very soft voice said, "Lady, don't you care
about the children of Iraq?"
The old woman looked up at her and said: "Honey, my
father died in France during World
War II, I lost my husband in Korea, a son in Vietnam and a
grandson in Afghanistan. All four died so a young little bitch like
you could have the right to stand out here and badmouth our
country. Now . . . If you touch me again, I'm gonna stick this
umbrella up your ass and open it."
~ May God Bless America ~ ! -

I'm happy to be called anything and welcomed to this active group! You are all amazing to keep up with everyone!
I've been into genealogy for thirty years and DNA tested my brother, myself and my husband. I have yet been able to tie it into real facts in relation to my breast cancer so I admire anyone who can make sense of it. The data is there but interpretation seems to be difficult since there are many indicators on the genes.
I had my year two checkup with my BS yesterday and all is still clear. I take it one day at a time and make the most of the time that I have here. Friends and family are the most important things to me.
-
Grams....... don't worry about anything........ You'll drive yourself crazy trying to figure out "why" and "how"..... My PC gal said "Something just happens, in your cells.... they slough off, and some stay and become a problem.... But the earlier you find any abnormality, the better off you are....
Sounds like you took care of it all at the beginning.... no nodes even! My onco score was 19, but I decided at MY age, which was 72 at the time, that I just didn't have time to do chemo.... it was my choice....
Good luck with the Tamoxifen, and what all those other pills are for!
You got TATTOOS???? You mean for your nipples? Or are you a Harley Rider? There was a "Vinnie" around here that did those Tattoos....
-
GrammaKathy- not sure I properly welcomed you but hope you like it here. Nice bunch of ladies who talk about everything.
I had bilateral bc so my BS felt it was likely genetic, as it is rare to not be. I have had the BRACA tests, and several rounds of more advanced genetics testing. Everything has come up negative. Not a lot of cancer in my family. My sister always said "we don't come from the cancer family" but after her and I BOTH get a dx months apart, I told her "well we are now!"
My docs say cancer is many diseases, not just one and some are genetic, but a small amount are. There is a larger % for which there is no answer. Something flips the switch.
I agree with you that it is important to know the things we value after all this. Spending time with people you care and (who care about you) and with things you enjoy are what matter most. That is why I am off to a family wedding in two days! Time with cousins I love.

enerva, great colors on your crotchet top!!
Beautiful moon pictures
Chevy, funny
Sas, mom and brother, not good situation. They won't help themselves, so there is not much I can do. Found out that 4 months after my second dx, which took me to stage iv, and rocked our world, my mom sold my brother the house for $10 dollars. Not to be contested by any family members. I got a copy of the deed. My brother has been lying about lots of stuff, this one is public record so I could investigate. He told me that many years ago he bought it from mom for market value. Just another lie. So I go out to help my mom once a week, and avoid my brother. And yes, my mom was in on the deception, but with alztimer I need to put my feeling aside and help. They are a unique pair. I refuse to lower myself to that level. I have a great hubby, great daughter, and great son in law and wonderful friends. That's my life and my focus. As they say....you can pick your friends..........
Thanks for that tip Rosie . That one I haven't tried. Right now it smells like sour milk that we tried to cover up. Lol. Right now there are no seats in the back and the carpet is lifted up as we continuly try to get the smell out. here is padding in parts under the carpet....who knew. We are going to change the padding and see if that works. I think we got the smell out of the rug. The padding is a problem. Something I will never do again...lol
-
Susan: I have used Fresh Wave natural odor eliminator with good results. They are little crystal gels that absorb the odor. I get it at Bed Bath & Beyond, but I'm sure other places have it too. Good luck with it.
-
thanks glennie, I am actually going there tomorrow:)
