that's awesome Nettie !! So you are a cougar ? You are older then your dh ?
-
Allyson, some insurance will pay for mastectomy bras, check it out. Stephanie
-
Patty, if you can call 1 month and 4 days making me a cougar, then yes, I guess I am! LOL -
okay ladies I need some help. I need a recipe to use up some apples that are starting to get soft. I always make cinnamon or red hot apples but kinda bored with that. Ds and dh don't like apple salad. I know I could look online but would get the best recipes with reviews from you talented women. So something easy peasy using what I have a hand using my apples. Any ideas ??
-
Take a muffin mix or your own. Spread in a pan so it is half an inch or so deep. Peal and it apple in wedges. Push each piece up and down the cake sheet very close toGether. A little sugared cinnamon and nut meg over it bake until apples are cooked. Can put walnuts on top too. Eat as is or with whipped cream. Or ice cream. As is for breakfast. After all it is a muffin mix. Or really easy...chop apples put in mix..will have more apple than mix...spread on pan. 375 until cooked will have to check. Depends on mix and size of cut up apples
This is good for glutton free. Using glutton free mix.

Cut the core out, stuff with peanut butter. Nuke till Apple is soft.
Applesauce. Slice apples, cook till soft. Put through Foley mill, add sugar cinnamon to taste. May be frozen.

someone here said she'd take the bras and prostheses back in February or march. She's down in the LA area. Let me know who you are and I'll send them to you. 42" band with size 6 inserts. White, cream and maroon. Also have a tank top that you can have too.

Thanks all for the bra info, I will PM people later. 3rd, its a very different system here. Most of our health care is state run and even if we have extra insurance it doesn't cover bras and things. We get a grant for prosthesis and bras every four years but it is at such a level that you can only get the prosthesis and two bras and that is supposed to do you for four years. It is very difficult for people with lymphoedema to get more than one proper bra and I have seen women paying them off at $10 a week. Sorry this is a soap box I have been on many times. I am lucky that I can buy bras when I want and need them. I have always loved pretty things and It took me ages to go into any lingerie shop after my mx. Luckily I have found some very pretty bras that have wider sides and straps.
I am waiting for someone to come and give me a quote to do our garden. I am finding the heavy stuff too much even though I love gardening. DH is unable to do it as he has heart problems and gets too tired so I have to do something to sort it out. My sister who lives with us does some but she will weed but not get down and get the roots so everything is back up quickly. Once it has been cleaned I will be able to manage.
Big hugs
