Love all the pics, I enjpy that so much.
TANG there u are, we've been missing u, hope u come and tell us what's going on.
Enerva u wouldn't be normal (well so to speak) if u weren't nervous It's that feeling of just getting it over with. I hope u'r taking something to calm u'rself. I'm sure when u wake up u'll feel the relief of it being finished. We're here for u.
Susan again I love u'r attitude keep it up and u won't fall--there's lots of new and good stuff going on now.
I was pretty busy today, I almost wrote dizzy cuz that too. hahaha--but my phones were going and I was typing I am a horrible typist a u all know by now, 2 fingers--that's not how I learned that's for sure and never did 2 fingers until I got on a computer cuz the letter size is a millimeter smaller and my nails hit not some but all the wrong keys. All that learnin' for nothing. Anyway so when I type a lot for work, My eyes and fingers get all screwed up, I know I need new glasses so I have o look into this with ins. cuz that's another problem. Why are simple things complicated to me. I know I really need bifocals but then I'd really see what I look like OMG--but I must say I do have really pretty ears, always did, my best feature. Isn't that interesting.

Oh dear every one is fast asleep.

-
almost everyone, I just woke up after a quick nap after dinner
Like old times (sorry about the "old" word), Alyson! Almost midnight here, what's up, down under (or is that just in reference to Aussies?). What time Saturday there?
-
No we are Down Unders as well.Sas always referred to Chrissy and I as Southlanders! Big Game tonight. All Blacks versus Wallabies, that's New Zealand versus Australia at rugby . Comparison is US playing Canada at hockey. We will watch on TV despite being able to here if things get exciting as we live 3 streets from Eden Park.
About to get cup of tea and get seated for the match.
-

Just 2nd and I around at present. It is 7.30pm here.
-
hi Alyson, love the owls! I'm still here, was catching up emails, I'm so behind. I like Southlanders, I'll have to remember that. Don't want to distract you from the game. Is Eden Park where it's being played (or live telecast?) I forget, we're finishing summer, you're finishing winter, so windows closed so you won't hear the noise?
PS, so glad you're back!
-
We have been able to hear some noise and it's been exciting so haven't ben looking at the screen. Eden Park is our main ground in Auckland but we are watching the TV. One of the Aussies just said a bad word when we scored, funny how you can lip read that word. Have you slept at all? Have a friend in Boston who gets up at 4am every day.
-
Alyson, funny! Yes, we seem to be able to lip read the naughty words. I crashed right after dinner, DH likes the house way too cold for me so I huddled under a blanket after dinner. Must have crashed for a couple hours. Cat woke me up when she jumped on my tummy. Almost 2 am, going to try to sleep. Hoping your team wins!
-
hey 2nd and Alyson Still up ?
-
I'm getting ready to try to go back to sleep. Couple hour nap wasn't enough rest for me.
Miss the middle of the night chats!
-
sleep well
-
Sleep well 2nd. Game nearly finished and we have won convincingly. Poor Australians - not. DH has gone out to hear the crowd. I will be around for another couple of hours probably..It's 9.21pm here.
Your up late Patty I see its 2.24am in your part of the world. Where in Arizona are are you?
-
Actually I am in arkansas. But that's a common mistake. It is 4;30 am here.
That's exciting that you live so close to actually hear the crowd. A win - congrats !!!
-
Hi ladies! It is 530 in the morning, and I am still up. wth? anyhow- just wanted to pop in and say hi and (hugs) to all. I will try to catch up a bit this weekend on the 1billion pages that you gabbers filled the last however many days. LAWDY!
I missed you gals and cracked up when I saw Chevsters new shoes! that Alyson found for her!
My friend is doing very well- he finally went home last night. He will be out of commission for months, but they saved his arm! With a lot of luck his body won't reject any of the items they used to install his new "bones" and he won't have any infections. His leg is stable, 7 breaks in all 3 major bones, shattered heel, and some ankle issues, but it is all pinned together.
I set up a fundraiser for him, so if anyone has a spare few bucks and wants the link, please PM me.

Morning gals! Just HAD to send a picture of the shoes I have on now! And did you gals ever wear the stockings with the seams in them? Along with a garter-belt & Teddy? Man my Husband used to go nuts when I got all dolled up for him.... (or anyone for that matter) But it kept things interesting!
I don't even wear pantyhose anymore! I don't think I have any! As a matter of fact, I don't even have dresses! I just have slacks and pretty tops.... And Crocs & Alyson's Chicken shoes.... Ha!
So Cammi, you said you took typing in school? Figures..... Did you flunk the whole class? I LOVED typing.... I hated short-hand, and can't remember a thing about it. I wasn't planning on becoming anyone's Secretary, so maybe that's why I I barely passed that class!
I took Home Economics though.... Sewing and Cooking.... I learned the basics of become the world-class Chef that I am today. I excel in Milk-toast... Noodleburgers.... and Rabbits-in-the-hole.
-
Good morning ladies!
Oh my goodness Chevy, there goes the other hip. Those shoes Alyson found for you appear to offer more stability in the heel. Watch out for pebbles, stones, boulders, or whatever tripped you up last time.
-
ha! I took shorthand in school too all I remember is dear sir. Never used it after school. Took Home Ec too. I'm still a disaster in the kitchen. My DD took auto mechanics and wood shop. Much more useful IMO.
Chevy, you be careful with those shoes!
-
I never took short hand but I'm a bit younger than some of you. I don't even remember if they offered it. We did have to take typing and Home Ec. I also took Specialty Sewing and Shop class. I took Basis Electronics. I was the only girl in the class.
-
I took typing and Home Ec. Avoided shorthand like the plague. In Home Ec I learned that a meringue pie is way too much trouble. Sewing, however, was very useful and I still do it. We were not allowed to take shop, nor did I want to.
-
I remember in 8th grade the HS people came to sign us up. I didn't know what I wanted to do after school. They really pushed me for college prep. Even told me all the students went to college. I couldn't even decide what to wear and they wanted this decision? So I was put in a business program. Shorthand, typing, taught by the basketball coach, I don't remember what else now. I hated school, the only useful thing I learned was typing. College isn't for everybody. I'm one if them.
-
good morning ladies.
So last sat night i went to er for uncontrollable pain. Found out I have 5 new compression fractures. Yesterday I had kyphoplasty to fix them. Dr literally beat me with a hammer for 3 hours. Crazy how bones can be so brittle to break for no reason but the dr couldn't get the tool inserted in my bone. Bones had been radiated so apparently that makes the side he was entering hard as concrete. Was terribly painful procedure. Dr said it was by far the hardest procedure he has done. Lucky me huh all black and blue today :-(.
333 congrats on finishing radiation. Hope you did something fun to celebrate.
Jwoo. How sweet of you to start a fundraiser for your friend. You are a true friend.
Susan. Take your break but please let us know occasionally how it's going. I look at you and cami (hi cami ) and many more and it has always encouraged me how long it had been since your stage 4 dx. Just wanted to let you know you have made a difference in my attitude and life by simply posting. Thanks hoping your new tx is killing those cancer cells. I LOVE your positive attitude
Chevy. Love your new shoes
2nd - how's the memory box coming ? What a great idea that is. Enjoyed finally getting some games in last night with ya.
Haven't seen blondie post lately. Hope all is well. Hope you are way to busy out and about having fun to post. Thinking of you.
Tang - good to see u
Garden gumby - so cool that u and your dh slept on the deck a lot of nights.
Enerva - love the outside bed pics. Crazy people nowadays, not sure it is safe anymore. So what kind of recovery will you have from surgery in a few days ? Have you been grocery shopping , cooking etc ? Hope u have someone to help u out if needed
Hey everyone else I missed. Hope y'all have a great day
Hootie hoo
-
Patty I can't image you are feeling much better after all that.
-
PattyPeppermint, I hope you are not in too much pain today. It's sounds so painful. Sending you hugs.
-
thanks paw print and sailing wind
-
patty, big OUCH! Really, with a hammer??! Hope this weekend is better.
I took a drafting class in high school, senior year I think. Only girl and teacher wouldn't help at all. This was in 67-68. Just before all the crazy free love started. Wasn't a hippy but was married just before my senior year. YIPE I was 17, don't ask me why so young. Still married, it's been 47 years. Not all good but could be worse. He does his thing and I do mine. We are going on a cruise together in November, since there's 8 other people it should be fun.
Have a good weekend everybody. Going to DS in a little bit. Birthday party for several people. See if I can get a pic later.
-
smarty. Go have some fun at the birthday parties. Do you get to show off your new skinny clothes ? Sounds like fun. Congrats on 47 years. Can't all be good times right ?
-
It so quiet. Are others having internet issues too? I'm hoping everyone is having a relaxing, pain-free evening.
