Sas that's wonderful that everything was great even dinner. Some Happy time for u.
Blessings U really did say that incorrectly to say u'r brain is perfect it's like me saying my brain is perfect and I'm a runway model. But that's such good news I was really concerned for u, but didn't want to say much--So now u just wait, do they have any idea how long or is there any way to help you> Well let's just be thankful the MRI was good.
Nettie I'm sorry I'm so stupid about this but I have loads of back, leg, knee pains spasms and one arm especially, but I know why I have all this, even tho I do my PT excersizes (sp) it doesn't help at all really , well mybe it does, cuz I guess it could be worse, I've had this for about 2 yrs and it stops me too from doing things but I can't remember if u know exactly what this is from, and tomorrow u have a full day, it's hard to do and please don't think u've said to much cuz this is the place to unload every and anything.
I don't shop at all now, if we need a present Les does it and barely afford it. But I did what I know not to do today, I watched my shopping networks and that's how I shopped for years for everything, present, myself everything and now I can't do it and I was geting so sad thinking Oh I want that, Oh I want that too. hahaha
That was my addiction and I never had to leave my house , returning very few things so I was miserable today just watching I had to change it, but would go back every so often. So emotionally I had a miserable day, which I know is silly, but if u knew how I would shop u'd understand. By now I would have most of my Christmas presents done and any new decorations I wanted. Oh well things change.

Morning gals!
And back to our regularly scheduled programing, BLESSINGS,
you DID it! YOU showed them kid!Yes, your little brain took a beating.... but it kept on
ticking! You WILL regain your balance.... just don't go falling
again... Use a cane to steady yourself... I don't use one around here, but when
we go out, and are going to walk for awhile, I take mine.If you don't ..... wait..... what part of your memory do
you want back?I still don't have hardly ANY memories of my school
years.... Just a few things that were traumatic, that I remember...... Like when
I was on the swing-set at school, and I accidentally kicked that little brat
girl in the eye! I didn't MEAN to, but she sure sported a shiner for a very
long time. I remember THAT one! You would think she was some sort of HERO or
something!But I don't think that's important.... Remembering things
going on NOW is what is important...So don't worry about your memory... maybe things come
back, but maybe they won't... You can go NUTS trying to pull up memories when
you look at a picture, and SEE you were THERE, but you can't remember ANYthing
about it. I did this with my best friends wedding. I was her maid of honor,
but it is just not ANYwhere in my brain!I don't even TRY to remember those things anymore.... My
brain didn't start to retain memories until I had graduated, and met my Husband
to be....So memories aren't what's important... It's what is going
on NOW....Morning Nettie.... things WILL be better today.... just
remember that. You know stress adds onto your not feeling well...... don't
let HIS problems become YOUR problems.... His issues don't have to be
yours..... He can't control your life, unless you let it.....Some of us have been down that road.....
Hi Tang! Good to see you up and walking! That helps
your body recover.I might have been a nurse in my past life.... Ha, ha!
Yes Blondie... You are always welcome to come by, and all
us gals can just sit and chat and laugh our butts off!Cammi! You don't shop? And who is this "Les" person? Is
he your very own personal shopper sort of guy?If you want to be "miserable".... watch Hoarders! Man,
those people just couldn't stop when they had a good thing going! Everytime I
see that show, I go clean house! I mean HOLY COW those people just must not
CARE of how they live!Morning Smarty and 2222222222nd! Love the
pictures!This is for LittleGoats.....

Oh Chevy I wonder about u'r brain now--Les is short for Leslie my DD2 who loves to shop in stores. Blah Everyone asks her to do their shopping and pick things out. Years go she wanted to become a professionl shopper t one of the higher ends stores but they didn't have them yet. She thought of it and later now they have them. She relly wanted to be a designer til she got sick and her disease robbed her of doing much of anything she wanted. Oh well she's happy and doing well. And she gave me Joey, by accident of course but best accident ever. Cuz she really shouldn't have had kids, and went thru so much that's why I took care of him for the first year of his life with the Family Leave Act. Otherwise I would have lost my job so I was glad they passed that one. I did that for my mom too, but my mom paid me my salary, hahaha Big difference. Some memories u do want to forget.
Anyhow my goal was to be a part time stripper when I retired --figured cash, but my BS had different ideas and I told him he was taking not just my breasts but my retirement plan. Nasty fellow. Even tho the pasties would be by my stomach there are still men who would see that. Stupid cancer my dreams were crushed.
-
Chevy & Cami, you two make my day. Always a laugh or hmmm, what does she mean by that.
Blessings, keep resting & do what ever relaxes you.
Sas, sounds like a good time with the new girl.
Hello to all, I will catch up later. Getting stuff done to bring DH home. He has been there a week. Poor guy, the knee & elbow are both on left side, both had 2 surgeries. It is very difficult for him to do anything cause he does cannot use his left arm. They did replace the pad part of his artificial knee.
Home health will come, but I got something in the mail yesterday, from insurance that said he was approved for 3 days. I will call on Monday & listen to there mumble jumble...I really hate those phone calls. Makes me crazy. I wish they could just jump to the bottom line & tell you the truth without there spin.
-
Oh little Cammi! I didn't know! I didn't know this part of your ummm "past!" Dang girl! I don't know nothin' about the "family leave act." Is that when you leave your family??
Or when you take care of some little critter like Joey? Good JOB! He was put here on this earth, just to take care of YOU! He is your whole life.... Him and KatyKat.....
See? Thangs happen for a reason! Don't know so much about the stripper part, but whatever..... I TRIED that myself, and well, you know about the poles.... I failed that one too! We don't wear pasties you know.... they would hang underneath.... probably wouldn't even show! I could use Duck Tape.... shape them into something desireable....
Well, okay..... guess I'll go do something....
Hiho! Fun to see you this morning..... Yes! My brain is in transition.... to something from somewhere..... Take care of that bigD man of yours.... xoxoxoxo
Fix him milk-toast.... that's what you do for sickly people.
-
blessings. Normal brain MRI - yea. Was very worried for you but didn't want to say anything to freak you out.
Nettie. - sorry you are still having so much pain. Your dh being a pita (thanks for that new word Chevy ) certainly doesn't help your situation does it. I know when I am in extreme pain I become an emotional basket case. We are here for you. Complain all you want. Not good to keep all that in.
Tang - is izzy your 5 year old daughter ? You must be young. Enjoy this great day. Very nice you have family to help you
Blondie. Hoping the predasone helps your breathing. In stage IV forum they have a thread for supporting those who have decided or have had the decision made for them to stop treatment. Thought of you when I seen it.
Holeinone - bet your dh is so ready to get home. There is no place like home. Wonderful for home health to help as well. Is dh a good patient or a typical whiny man ? Get plenty of rest for yourself.
2nd - I so miss you on the games. I have been sleeping thru the night since pain is not waking me up. I haven't seen you. Have I just been on at a different time or have you not been on games ? Hurry back.
Cami. - damn cancer kills so many of our dreams. Taxes on tips for strippers is way too high anyway. So you were a tv shopaholic ?
Chevy - I wanna come to your party also. Guess I am inviting myself. Chatting and laughing out butts off sounds like a blast.
Susan - hope you are having a great visit with your dd. hope you are feeling better from chemo as well. How often are you takin the new chemo ? I csnt remember.
Hello to all those I missed.
I am having a good am. Still no pain. I feel like a different person physically and emotionally. Still very tired and nauseated. Still blaming it on huge decrease in pain med. wonder when that will go away ? So no one knows about chicken raising for eggs ?
Hootie hoo
-
Chevy where are u? Patty wants to know how to raise chickens for raising chickes to lay more eggs to raise chickens or whatever??? U are are resident chicken person she needs help.
And FMLA means u want to leave u'r family but paperwork swears u to take care o them, so u'r stuck???
-
Okay I KNEW I read that somewhere, but forgot who said it! You mean Peppermint? YOU want to raise Chickens? I live next door to 6 of the pretty little girls! Watched them grow up from little tiny yellow chicks into full-grown women! They have to have a nice coop! With a nesting area, and a warmer for Winter, ..... Oh never mind, you live in Arizona I see! But they have their favorite little areas where they take turns laying their eggs! "The nesting area" is up a little ladder thing, where they go at night, and all sleep together.... like a big slumber party! You can see "coop" ideas online!
SOMEtimes you have to look before you step on all that hay, because they even lay eggs there, or even in the yard!
If you let them roam in the fenced yard, be sure no dogs jump the fence to get the little things! They become very tame.... The little girls that live there can pick them up and sit with them.... They/Me feed them all sorts of greens, watermelon, corn on the cob, and just about anything! There is a whole list you can download as to what and how to feed them stuff OTHER than their chicken feed! They also drink water, from a regular waterer, AND feed can! I put tarp up around part of their coop, because the PITA neighbors didn't DO it, and it was below zero a few times last winter!
But their eggs are delicious! They lay about 6 a day in the Summer so far.... ONE of the girls lays real tiny eggs, but sometimes they are double yolks. After they lay their egg, they make lots of noise.... the "other" girls do, like cheering them on!
I don't have any Chickens myself, but you would THINK I did!
FMLA must be short for Familia.... some Spanish term.... I just made that up.
-
Blessing I am so glad MRI is clear
I hope you all have a great weekend
I asked my niece about the owls lol that little sh it said sorry it could take her time and her university is enough ha ha ha instead she sent me a video of how to make it so here it is, I stopped at Michael's this morning and they do not sell waxed tread for makramee that's what the technic is called. Anyway in case any body want to try here it is....
Macrame Owl / Makramee Eule / Макраме сова:http://youtu.be/SAqNNIu1s8I
Lol
-
hi ladies, just got caught up phew you gals can talk ~ love you all!
Welcome Sailing, good news Blessings, and Patty LOL Chevy's our resident expert on the subject of chickens. Holeinone, hope your DH does as well on a picc line as my dad did, recovering from staph. Will u have home health care?
Got some heirloom irises from someone at work and planted them this morning. Supposed to be a nice lavender color and fragrant. Won't have blooms this fall but hopefully in the spring. One of the good things about living somewhere with a cold season is it makes for great spring flowers. ♥
-
remember these in the early 70s? I used to make these and sell them. About 36" across. Many, many, many years ago.
I watched the making of the little owls. The link didn't work but I found them. Might try it this winter. Have to find it in English. If not then I think I can follow along. Doesn't look hard to do.
Ok, can I brag, can I, can I !!?? I bought size 14 in jeans today! OMG haven't done that in years, years, and years! I'll show a picture later when I put them on. OMG! Boy do they make me look skinny. My DH will be surprised!
FMLA stands for family medical leave act (or close to that)
-
Smaarty not only can u be creative, u'r a wicked hot lady now---Congrats to you.
Chevy altho u'r explanation was a true delight for me, I think the question was how do u make eggs into little chicks--are they incubated or u just eat them as fast as u can. And forget the propagation of the species.
-
Just had a two hour session with HP computer assistant---best part showed me how to do two screens side by side with two browsers window YAY
-
YAYYYYYYYYYSMARRTY_YOU GO GIRL SIZE 14. hAVEN'T SEEN THAT NUMBER IN SOME WHILE lol, BUT i REMEMBER IT
JWOOOOOHOOOO
Golfgirl --Hugs, this sucks, Tang happy B-day to Izzy and hugs to mom too, for helping out.
I feel just like Chevy--typing side by side with the posts. No excuse now of forgetting things.
-
Party was a success!I took an ambien for sleep and I'm not able to sleep, but I feel spacey and weird now. uggg.
It was a My Little Pony theme and they swam and did the slip and slide. We also had a pinata for them and the cake/ice cream. That little girl of mine is what keeps me going ya'll!
Hole-hope dh's wound care is taken care of by insurance. This sort of stuff just adds unneccesary stress! Pisses me off!
On a side note, I have been reading other active threads have been noticing certain members who come across rather short and even mean at times. I know it can be a challenge to "read" body language via a mesage board, so I'd like to give the benefit of the doubt. But, some I see doing it alot. I'm just glad we don't have that problem on this thread. Thanks for keeping it that way ladies!
((hugs_))
-
Tang, any pics to post? Glad the party went well.
See ya guys tomorrow.
-
One thing we may not have are pics lol, too much going on and I forgot...maybe dh didn't. I'll check with him tomorrow. lol -
Patty thanks, hope it will work also
Tang so happy the party went well
Of course I am up predesone sp, it is 142, did take cholodine of the boys to help me sleep, busy day, went out of the house to a party of a friend of mine, it is so nice to go out, not b sick, of course had the breathing machine with me, I sat in the wheelchair, it was awesome, but didnt dance which is one of the saddest thing 4 me, cant dance cause of yhe breathing. ! Can chair dance yho.
Happy Sunday all
Bbl
-
blondie - chair dance lol love your attitude.
Everybody sleeping ?
-
Patty- I am sort of here- just popping in. How are you?
-
Morning gals~
Badger, hope your Iris are most beautimongus! I know they
will be.... Those tubors can take a beatin' actually! After awhile, or years, you have to divide them.... just
chop those little suckers in half, and move them somewhere else.... They LOVE
it!I know Chickens and Iris... Ha!
Yes Smarty.... Macrame! I used to make those pot
hangers... But those were easy compared to the hanging you posted!Okay Cammi, miss pretendingtobedense.... You MUST include
a ROOSTER in with the line-up of Hens...which will make him delighted! But most
city people frown on Roosters in someone's yard....So THAT means that you can have Chickens..... by the way,
when they are baby chicks, HOW do they know if they are male or female???
THAT could be a problem.ANYway, without a Rooster, to come along and be amorous
with the Hens, they will only lay duds.... eggs that are not fertilized! The
Rooster has to do this deed beFORE she goes and lays her fertilized little
egg.I TOLD you about the story of Bea and Estell! I didn't
know either...! But Mr. Estelle told me to go ask his wife... "Bea"! And she
set me straight.... and therefore I felt like a dunce. The "Mom's" incubate their eggs by laying on them! Just
like birds and bees.... oh wait..... Owls! See? Chickens "do it" too!So that is your Chicken lesson for the day. Take notes
next time Cammi.... it gets complicated. But now I wonder, HOW do they
fertilize all those eggs at the Chicken farms? It must be like a regular
free-for-all with those Roosters! It's like a Den of Inequity! One big
FOREVER party!Okay, on to more serious stuff... SASS! You got it
figured out? Good Job! You'll forget it by when next time it rolls around....
like I do.Morning Tang! Yes, we are oblivious to what others
do.... we don't care.... and we know what you mean... so we just go merrily
on our oblivious way.... Ha!Sass...... don't say a word...... I know what you are
thinking..... just skip over this part....Blondie! You can seat-dance! YES! Anyway you can dance
is great! It just makes you feel good. You can breathe later.... just dance when you
can!Hi Peppermint! Yes, I was sleeping.... YOU guys never
sleep! And there is JWOW~ Go to bed you guys! Tomorrow is another day.... I
mean today is! xoxoxo -
good morning, hope you all enjoy this Sunday!! I try making the little.owl and it was hard lol plus run out of tread lol burning won't give up. I need to find the specific tread though.
SMARTY That is beautiful what you made
Here it is my attempt lol
Have faith I'm me, if I manage I will make a bunch for all of us lol
Free lol
-
Good Morning Ladies.
Good going Blondie--How wonderful u got to go and dance any way u want.
Tang I hope we get some pics out of this and the party sound great. It is tiring tho. Tang I'm only on a few threads now and some have the same people too LOL just a couple don't but it took me a while to find where I think I really like everyone and fit in and that's where I stay. And enjoy and care about everyone.
OK another one knows the double screen, u make it sound easy, well not for me--so I still go by memory which we know is worthless.
-
hi owls ~ Happy Sunday! ♥
-
enerva, I think it's wonderful...great job..love it
Hi jwooooo...u doing ok ??
Blondiex...good to get out
. I was chair dancing at a wedding yesterday !!
Morning all. I will catch up later. Daughter goes home tomorrow , so we r gonna cuddle all day
. And then I will cry
. She is soooooo much fun !!
-
Chevy, I watched an episode of Dirty Jobs about "sexing" chicks. They just flip them over and peek. I guess you can see even when they are still yellow and fuzzy.
Blondie, glass you are breathing a bit easier and had a good time.
-
Cami, I enjoy your posts and I'm glad you are here. I seldom post but when I do it's really only here with a few exceptions. There are a lot of wonderful ladies on this thread.
Tang, happy to hear the party went well. Sometimes we are so "in the moment" or busy that we don't get as many pictures as we would have liked. We are so fortunate to have so many patient, understanding, and humorous ladies here (including you
).
Enerva, you are so talented. You make so many beautiful things.
Phylliwithmeltedtitesstillchasingtricksofmen, how are you doing?
Hole, is you dh pain getting any better?
I went on a long scooter ride yesterday. I saw a little girl setting up her lemonade stand. I stopped by and I was her first customer. Wow, the price of lemonade has gone up. She did share her recipe for yummy lemonade. That and her joy made it worth a dollar.
-
Happy Sunday morning....today is...
Blondie & Susan, nice you are getting out & rockin the chair dancing...
Tangadang, Happy B-day to your sweet Izzy. They grow up way too fast. Are you getting any peach fuzz yet ? My hair came in like a baby's. Now growing & wild with calicks.
Dutchie, sounds like a fun outing on your scooter. Kids love the lemonade stands & friendly costumers.
DH is home. In the new "extremely ugly" lift chair I bought. It is huge...He is glad to be home, basically sleeping most the time. I am tired, dirty dishes sitting around, I need to get in the shower. It will be a slow go, but the worst is behind him.
I had my first mammo last Tues, right before he went in for his 2nd go around of surgeries. The radiologist said "looked good".
