I was really sad on Wedensday, felt like throwing in the towel and today I realize I was being a bit dramatic. I had to see PS to remove stiches and just check on my healing. He said everything looked good. I went on to ask him about possible recon down the road. He initially had said the a flap recon would be my best option. WED he told me that if we did anything I would be a very special case and considered high risk. DIEP he puts me on 8-9 out of 10, and LAT Flap 7-8. He said its complex because of all of my wound healing issues and infections. Then the dreaded mention of my BMI! He said if I lost about 50lbs it could make things easier. He was so sweet and nice about it, but I felt terrible.

When his nurse came in and was wearing a "I love Botox" tee-shirt I wanted to puke. I realize that a plastic surgeon's office is full of people getting cosmetic stuff done, but that hurt me. I'm trying to get some part of me back not just get rid of some pesky wrinkles. It just hit me wrong and I've been eating way to much ever since.

TMI? I have issues....obviously. It sounds sort of petty when I know there are ladies around these boards dealing with much worse. But, I feel so duped by my original PS and I'm angry that I didn't know better.

That is where I'm at. I'm angry!! Angry at BC and all the crap that goes with it.

Tang, I feel the same somedays when I want to whine and complain, I feel like why should I be complaining when others are dealing with much worse, but I've learned that to each our problems are big and sometimes we just need to get it out! 

I'm praying that everyone dealing with troubles and such will have a peaceful, restful weekend! 

I made the week without seeing my chiro or massage therapist and it seems that I'm no worse and possibly even a little less sore, so that tells me that maybe I need to space out my visits because maybe the actual sessions were adding soreness, which is expected, but is hard to tell the difference!!  I still have one pain in an exact place that has not changed and that is scaring me, but overall, after my week off, I feel better!  I will see the chiro on Monday and we will be discussing this one place!!!

I have a very busy weekend, so Monday I will probably show up tired!

Tang, I completely understand your feelings. How inappropriate for a nurse to be wearing "I love botox" t-shirt.

I have completely lost my spark and fight and feel like a worn out dishrag. I'm in a lot of pain and can't take narcotics because they make me sick. I'm just beside myself in misery. Taking ativan and ibuprofen. And once I'm in an emotional state like this, everything makes me fall apart. I was happy this morning when the Cleaning for a Reason cleaners came, but then she just brought me my great grandmother's china teacup that she accidentally broke. I am ready to fall apart once again. 

I'm due to start back to work on Monday after I've been off on leave for a year, and starting whole brain radiation next week. I know I'm going to have trouble managing and will probably have to leave work but I'm so worried about benefits. I'm hoping to get through this round of radiation and then chemo and then go out. But hoping God will give the the strength to make it. 

Love you ladies all and at times like this, just reading about everyone's day and seeing videos and pictures makes me feel so much better. Loved the throw back picture Smaarty!

I just got back from spending the afternoon with Ms Sas. She is at her sons house in Tampa. Spookie got to meet Auntie Sas too! Sons cat wasn't so sure about this intruder in its house, but it was ok. 

She will be back on tonight or tomorrow.

FBB how are u going to work? Have u spoken the the people that deal with this disability to see how long u can be off or what the state of keeping u'r job--(which I thought u couldn't loose it because of this) but don't go by me, I just think if u need more time off u'r job has the responsibility to give it to u. I'm sure u've checked it out but maybe someone knows more. (((HUGS)))

He no one can throw in the towel, u know how much laundry we'd have and who's going to do it. So hold tight and u'll see u will get thru this, some take longer than others. I think we all had the idea from the celebrities that talked about their cancer, I don't know what treatment they had--but they all made it seem like a walk in the park, so when all this is and still happening apparently celebrities are immune to this part--I don't know, but's it's no walk in the park, it's like walking on those fire rocks but slowly.

Today is my DD's birthday. She's 27 today. I find that impossible to believe. I think she's coming out next weekend but not this weekend.

We are getting a summer polar vortex. Highs several days in the low 80s. Unbelievable.

I know Spookie I won't believe it until it happens. It was only 93 here today. I think they thought it might have been our 1st 100 degree day. Wrong again.

My fig bush/tree is actually looking good. It might attain some size this year but I cannot keep it from dying back to the ground with freezing temps. Hoping for a decent fig crop - at least more than the 4-5 I've harvested in the past. None last year. I did finally water it today. I think I've only done that maybe 2x. We have been lucky so far.

Neighbor hayed his field. We are planning to go Tuesday (high 88 degrees but chance of rain) on DH's day off and buy 20 square bales from another guy we bought from last year. Darn luck I just bought feed store hay then I found the Craigslist ad. That is the limit of what my little Heartland storage shed will hold but I think that will be close to 2 to 2 1/2 months supply.

Littlegoats, so sorry, I went to Tampa wed to see the thyroid doc. I didn't make a note. Sorry, I was so careless. F/U with him was great!.

Smarrty, foobs falling in the armpits was one of Gods little learning experiences for me. Very uncomfortable and painful. From Feb 2009, UNTIL June of 2013. Cami got me unto exersizing. For me it was swimming. Backstroke because of spinal problems. Not sure how many days I was swimming, and I noticed the girls were sitting in their pockets where they ought to be Perfectly Positioned and Perky. Pain subsided. It was wonderful. DBF noticed too! Then I screwed the back up in August of 13. Then two dog falls (wet tile & hole in yard covered with grass) and screwed up both shoulders. Haven't been able to swim since. The girls started slipping into the armpits again. But didn't have the pain. Why no pain--no clue. Also, noticed when I wear a bra they tend to stay where they are supposed too for some time, not long, but enough to notice. Then they start slipping again. Now they kind of stay put, but prior to the swimming they didn't. ???????        With the backstroke, I figured it was using the pectorals evenly b/c of the windmill like stroke. Is trying this an option? If it is hope you have luck with it. Sure would be nice to avoid sx

Blessings, hope your feeling better. Was thinking while driving. I don't know if I was clear re: ruling out an acute cause. You just had so many S/S's show up in a short period of time. It was a suggestion to be sure it wasn't  something new. I know all the vestibular problems just can do wacko things, then be quiet, then get wacko without any event. I have BPPV too. Original event was wacking heads in the middle of the night. Then slowly resolved over months, But I did have an MRI within 24 hours b/c it was a new occurrence. The nystagmus was wild when PCP checked eye movement. Then maybe a month ago all I did was stand up and it was back with a vengance, resolving again.Hope you are feeling better after the fall. The coccyx/tailbone just doesn't allow you to get comfortable in any position. It's always something.

Had a great visit with Spookie'sMom and Spookie today. She came to DS house. A pecarious moment when I leaned on the glass top table and it tipped. Big crash was averted. But it shook us up.

Tang yes, know when I go for my walks I do think of all of you soon a way you are here too. I wish you could come and take a walk by the lake it has helped me a lot, very peaceful and relaxing. I am surprised how much it actually helps me to go for those walks.

Got home from DS's spent around 45 minutes trying to figure out why no power in new computer. Went through cable company and then to best buy Geek squad. DUH new computer doesn't have lights above keypad like old one. Geek guy says "hold the power button down for 15seconds. You can start laughing. Yup, forgot about the power button. It's in a new place.

Patty, how was your appt? I have several drs like that: they usually run late because they don't use a timer when seeing their patients. They spend time with me so it seems fair to be that way with all patients (compared to just poor time management). Don't like waiting, so I try for the morning or after lunch appointment. 

Sassy, have you got new 'puter working yet? I'd say device but you'd be thinking something else. 

Who else got the new 'puter? Running yet?

Smaarty, I'd like to be seeing Vinnie, too, but maybe next year?

I'm poking it, swiping the screen upside & downside right and left, tapping space bar, rolling the mouse wheel. Just like the instructions said, to wake it up. Thinking this thing is dead.

hey SAS. Waving back. So you declutter your house or your sons house?  Reminds me of when my dh and I had first got together. His mom lived out of state and it was her first visit.  She rearranged my kitchen and my clothes in drawers including underwear, lingerie etc. I was totally pissed !!! 

Maddie so glad to see you. Did you get your mom settled in new place yet ?  My mo appt today was 9:15. Course gotta be there 15 min early for lab. I got out at almost 1pm.  Then had to pay a few bills and stop by pharmacy. Home and off to bed with a pain pill. Long day like that usually puts me down for a couple days with excruciating back pain. Course awake now. Ugh. Cancer count down to 42. Yes !

You guys, I love my new Dell!  It is faster than the speed of light!  BUT  putting all my programs onto a flash-drive, and then thinking I could just put them on this NEW one, did not work!  Yes, it is Windows 8, and I really LIKE that, but I just need some of my other files, like Documents, and my MUSIC from my iTunes!  I downloaded iTunes, but my libraby isn't anywhere to be found....  sooooooooooo I'll call their 800 number today!

I might just set this old computer up  somewhere else, with a monitor & keyboard, and see how I can transfer files to a disk, and THEN put them on here!

But my brain is tired of "thinking" so much.... Ha!  

I just can't believe how FAST everything is, and nothing "freezes" or "drops" or raises hell on here....... so far!

So 222222222222.... I mean Maddy... YES,  my other devices are all working perfectly,   and soons' I get THIS one figured out I will be in bidness!  Ha, ha.... Oh Grasshopper u have proved u'rself to all of us. We are all proud of u. U are a wonder and I wonder big time how u knew what Sas meant, cuz I didn't. Really all I've heard about windows 8 was all crummy stuff, but see u've already mastered this and will finish mastering it and then go into the world and see what u can do.

Oh those doggies were so cute, but u all know me what does that have to do with the Vortex? or what they are calling the vortex, what I call weather which u can never count on. BTW today we're getting storms already started so it'll be a no swim day for me. Like I do it all the time. And I use the term swim, but it's just to move my legs with a floaty that I'm holding onto with my arms and if I let go the water takes me backwords into the water and I'm drowning til someone saves me and it's a 4 foot pool. So I can't go myself nor can I get on that stupid ladder my self 

Oh gals I hate this feeling that I have, u ALL have to feel better and get better, then u'll fly the nest, but I'd rather have u happily fly on u'r own than not feel good.
