I put a bumper sticker on my car that says " Honk if you think I'm sexy." Now I wait at green lights until I feel better about myself.

Dutchy ROTFLOL
Nettie, Don't think we talked about this. I have lots of musculoskeletal pain from post polio. Seems I have been in a battle for awhile with my beds. I have a firm one. A pretty comfy one which I thought was soft, but recently bought a new bed. Serta something. OMG the difference of the way I feel in the morning. Due to recent circumstance with the Rai131, I had to use all the beds over a few nights. Think about your bed?
Susan that was a sweet thought. Needed that today Thanks. Garden's lovely. I have a black thumb. What I don't kill, Dini destroys. I have ZEROscaping. Honest no plants out front, just decorative stuff that Dini can't destroy. Great typo
Sorry Cami, icky icthamol. I was so skeptical the first time the doc ordered it for DH so long ago. I worked great. It's sooo expensive though.
Pawprint and annie Hugs.
Spookie has been awol or is time just flashing for me?
Smarrty, so skilled, into something everyday.
2ta , Blessing, FBB, Chevy, MM, teka, sorry if I missed anyone-- hugs
Tang where are you? Please, don't come back and tell us, that with the first dose of Levaquin, you had a reaction. After what you were through. Sending a meerkat hug

I didn't mean to be cloak and dagger about the Levaquin. My right knee swelled up to the size of a cauliflower and my right arm started to feel very stiff/painful. I googled Levaquin and tiredness, not thinking the knee and arm would ever be related but it turns out Levaquin can cause tendonitis. I was so sore that I was taking Aleve. That was a stupid move because Aleve and Levaquin (combined) can cause seizures. I didn't have any seizures, thank goodness, but now my liver enzymes (every.single.one) are elevated. I did a search and sure enough, Levaquin can be hepatoxic. It may have hit me harder because I had been on Cipro in December and the Doxycycline for most of the year, i.e. late January through late March - when I started the Levaquin. I became so itchy on the Doxycycline that my new PS had me switch to Levaquin. Well, I had no idea what itchy really was until I took the Levaquin. It may have been a perfect storm for me because we were in the midst of moving while I was on it. Eventually, the swelling in my knee did go down but it was very painful and very swollen for quite a while. Enough so that I had to sit with an ice pack on it for at least a couple hours a day. /End of Levaquin story

LeeA no you weren't cloak and dagger. Tang has had the poop hit the fan. People on this thread tell each other stuff. If you know something that's going to protect someone don't hold back. No one here holds back that's one of the beauties of this threadLevaquin has been under increasing pressure(usuage) for several years b/c of it's side effects. Read what I wrote to Tang. It supported what you were saying.

In my situation, I was taking antibiotics as a preventative measure for so long that I think they just ended up kind of messing me up. I seem sensitive to them anyway. I had a leaky breast that ended up testing negative for any kind of infection (when they removed the implant).
I always hate to mention side effects because I typically try to avoid reading what they are (unless I get one and go looking it up).
I need a t-shirt that says "yes, they're fake - the real ones tried to kill me and the fake ones are picking up where the real ones left off." :-)

behind yet again so I'll check in, post, then read

Ohhhhh! Cammi is going on the loose! Watch out world! I know, isn't it funny, we still call our older kids "kids?" Ha, ha! I know you will have fun!
Yes! It's called Prid... It's that black drawing salve... But it doesn't smell tooooooo bad... just a little... I ordered some online, when I have skin problems, or even like maybe an ingrown hair!
Cammi, your screen changed colors? What are you smoking? Better hide that stuff before someone else finds it!
Morning LittlePaws... So glad Annie Mae is getting used to things... okay.... Snuggs is another girl...Ha! Thought she was a guy... We're not doing anything much this week-end....
I'll watch Nascar... but that's about it...
Oh Susan! Ha, ha! didn't you ever cut your finger, and your Mom had to suck out the poison before she put medicine on? Probably Mercurochrome or Iodine?
I love your "sitting" room! And your pots of flowers! I just bought a few yesterday... Some "Sweet Potato Vine" which is Ipomea... A beautiful mint green plant that grows trailing over whatever you plant it in!
Okay, and you have Phlox! I have some too, in a little patch, only it is a little darker color... Your Bird-bath looks so inviting! I have a couple, that are too "deep" and the birds don't care for that one as much as the more shallow one... they are afraid they will drown...Ha!
I see at least 2 Tomato plants... Are they the Heirloom, Big Boy, or Patio? I just have Tomatoes, greens coming up... 2 Cabbage plants and a cucumber plant... and Herbs. Then 2 Dinner-Plate Dahlias! Those are Gorgeous!
No... we are not bored.... especially me.... Just call me Farmer girl!
Smarty.... WOW! That is a beautiful quilt! What ARE we on here, all Martha Stewart women? And 44444 is the one with the kitchen that is always going full blast!
Nettie.... wish we could help you.... just hope you got some rest!
DUTHESS! You DIDN'T! You GO girl!
This is one for me...
Sorry Lee.... You are having a rough time... like Nettie! YOU were allergic to Doxycylcline TOO? Okay.... I'll never take Levaquin either.
That Tshirt sounds like a good idea...
Oh Eeeeks 222222nd time! I saw that quote before! Isn't it the TRUTH though?
This is the salve I ordered online..... Don't know if this was the same one my Grandma had.... but I think so...

My youngest graduated last night. She woke up feeling crappy yesterday and didn't say anything about it. She played in her soccer game in the morning. When it was time to leave for graduation she had a fever. She took ibuprofen and made it through the ceremony and some pictures. Then we came home and crashed (not a car crash). I'm so proud of her.

Good Morning all.
Lee I like that shirt u want, well I don't have recon at all but I'm sorry I've heard crazy stories on here. And yea hearing about SE's is the pits, cuz I really thought when the Dr. said we did it, we did it--the next day meant I was going to feel good like my old self. Foolish me.

My SIL had my cup of coffee al ready for me this morning---I packed my meds up and good thing I have some colored pills to take during the day at different times, cuz I have no idea what they are but like Pavlov's dogs I recognize the colrs for what time of day. Took me a while to figure it out, but I did it on my own. Woot Woot

A SHOWER! Okay, please everyone.... write that down... Our little Cam is taking her weekly shower! And it isn't "sllep' over .... It is SLEEP over! Well, maybe you do that too!
I'm going to take a shower also! I got some new soap.... It is Lilac-Vanilla! So mine is probably luscious just like yours is! You smoke weed in the shower?
Have fun this weekend little one! Give Joey a hug for me! Who takes care of KateyKat? You just slam her outdoors? To fend for herself?
Love you! Don't let the bed-bugs bite! xoxoxoxo

hi Owlettes, once again too far behind to catch up. ((hugs)) to all
Last weekend's wedding was beautiful, I only cried twice LOL. Someone with great foresight put those little packs of tissues in all the pews. Reception was nice, good food and lots of fun. I only had 2 beers all night so felt good the next morning.
Got to meet a BCO sister for breakfast and a car tour of her town. It's always great to meet IRL and we had a yummy treat - oatmeal with ice cream and strawberries. Sounds weird but it's so good. Warm oatmeal with a scoop of vanilla ice cream that semi-melted and blended tastily with a ladle of berries.
Beautiful stretch of weather here, perfect for outdoor chores. Got the trim around the windows painted yesterday and happy to see a second coat is not needed so today's a free day. I'd mow the lawn but mower's on the fritz and I won't use it.
The longish lawn was a blessing yesterday though. A mama wood duck and her brood of fuzzy ducklings waddled into the back yard in the early afternoon. They sheltered under a sprawling flowering shrub and were still there when I was done painting late afternoon. They were gone this morning.
Hope everyone is doing OK. ♥♥♥

Busy group as always.....
Dutchchris, ah, our kids grow up too fast, congrats for you & your DD...
Cami, have a blast, try to behave yourself...
Smaarty, you are our Martha of the thread. So many interests.
Susan, with that amazing bunny sweater you & Smaarty can share the Martha title.
I am the still planting flowers, moving perennials. Lots of stuff blooming. Headed out to golf in an hour. My hips, shoulders & back have been very sore since I got that deep tissue massage on Thurs. not sure if I need to do that again. I have also started sleeping like a teenager. 9-10 hours a night. It's ok with me, I figure my body is healing, or maybe my mind.....lol...
Hope all has something fun going on this weekend.
Hello to all....we haven't heard from Blondie or Phyillowhomightbelockedup.....
Maybe we need a once a week roll call. I am still so sad that Nicky went off the radar. Another thread of ladies ( triple neg. ) are also very worried.
-
I worry about Nicky, Blondie, and all who drop off the radar.
-
Once a week roll call.
-
Oh..I'm in the middle of catching up but I have to say I was surprised to see that you like Nascar, Chevy...well maybe you watch just because but I'm a huge fan....Yep just call me redneck!!!
-
Deep tissue massages always make me sore. But right now I couldn't make it without them.
-
I've over the years *lurked* trying to find thread members gone missing for weeks, months, and years. Some return, others never heard from again.
I cannot even keep track of members that do post!
I don't want My name on a roll call.
-
None of My business if a weekly roll call.
I'm so not in the loop.
I delete prior posts on this thread.
-
*Owlettes*
-
I'm here, I'm ok, just haven't had much to say. Trying to wrap my brain around why 2 people I *thought* were friends have disappeared. 20 plus years, poof! Not ca related. Hurts, ya know?
-
Four years ago today I got my diagnosis. How life has changed and how grateful I am for BCO and all my sisters here. Thank you all.
-
Spookie,
I doubt if about You, but about Their lives! *Hugs*
-
chabba,
-
Thanks Teka, you're prolly right
-
Spookie, My Mom described that happening to her. I suggested it could be about them and she should call. She did and it turned out her friend had been at the hospital with a relative.
