Sorry Cami I saw that last night. The white blood count--WBC's. It's the measure of the cells that battle infection. When they are elevated it means you have an infection.
LOL ask them if you have a shift to the left? That'll throw 'em for a loop
There are other stuff that when the body is responding to and infection that go into action.
It's defined in the differential-----
- Neutrophils
- Lymphocytes (B cells and T cells)
- Monocytes
- Eosinophils
- Basophils
- These guys above go into overdrive to battle an infection
-
OMG I was right then, wow I impress myself---thanks Sas U'r my 2nd opinon, I'm my first. hahahaha. Got to sleep Missy.
-
pretty soon, When I said ask them if there's a shift to the left. All those values(normals) for those things in last post should be moving up.I would just love to see ther faces when you ask "is there a left shift"? An elevated WBC with aleft shift is an indicator that an infection is present and that the body is responding by making more of the different types of blood cells that are going to eat up the bugs.
So, hungry......got to go find food
-
Thanks Sas--u'll make me look smart.
-
oh no my mind does stop krplunk , i'll be out most of the day. it's the only way it gives me relief otherwise it just keeps going
just thinking about my endocrin guy, he's so, conscientious.....works so hard ...the thought i left him with was --- i have had thyroid cancer for a year now....... poor guy he probably poured over my chart trying to figure out how he could have missed that, did he miss it, what could he have done differently to diagnose it. i wrecked his weekend for sure.
eating
new thought been hypothyroid sooooooooooo long, basically from this i calculate back unknown number of years---may have never been normal, just plowed on through what if i find normal. truly don't know if i've ever met him...ever. there were two days in 1988..
to bed, may all that awake find joy in this day, for the rest of us may the devil go screw himself----the irish lass

Morning gals! Sass, you are amazing.... I read everything that you wrote, and I am boggled! Even more so than usual.
I won't even pretend to try and understand the details, and important issues you have brought up.... So I'll just muddle through my little world.... and worry about my tomatoes....Ha! That's what we have YOU for.... Imortant stuff!
Supposed to rain here today.... I just WISH it would DO what they always SAY it is going to do! Got my greens planted yesterday, AND our whole bedroom done... Took off the dust ruffle, (found out I could lift each corner of the mattress up, and slide the ruffle underneath, instead of lifting mattress on it's side, and onto the floor!) SEE? I CAN get this brain to work!
Don't need the dust ruffle anyway... Washed all the bedding, cream colored throw rugs, and put the storage boxes back under the bed....
Lilshit, you mentioned you could "edit" stuff! That just reminded me of a letter, I was sending United Airlines about this FEE they offered, and misrepresenting the whole services it offered... I was sooooo mad, because they billed my card for $89 apiece for supposedly going through an "express" line... Which meant bypassing the usual 20 minute long line for security, and instead standing 30 minutes in the "express" line, where all the flight personnel, AND wheel-chairs, and every willy-nilly man off the street, could supposedly FLY through, before us!
Then getting down to the Gate area, and showing them my "preferred" pass, and being told, "Okay, but older people and children, and anyone else we can think of, will board before you do!
And then traveling with DH, and all his quirks and worries about the damn plane ride ANYway, just made for a less than enjoyable RIDE!
So I was composing this hot, don't hold nothin' back email about my experience with their $89 times 2 charge, for NOTHING! DD was reading this, and said..."MOM! You canNOT talk to professional people like that, and expect them to help you..." Quote unquote.... So I simmered down somewhat, and she edited my blazing in-your-face ever so factual letter, I was writing.
I DID get a response when we got back home, and they credited my account back with the $178 .
CAMMI! YOU are just like I pictured you to be! And you are beautiful! But what is that thing you have around your neck? I should have made it longer for you? Actually you look quite stunning, Ha, ha! I just love the dickens out of you... Just don't go gettin' in anymore government trouble... Or wait! Maybe I could help you compose a letter TO those government people! Between the TWO of us, we would wind up in the big-house with Phylli and big Alice! Ha, ha! And we wouldn't let anyone come around to EDIT it... Ah man! Can you imagine the trouble we could get into? With Lilshit and all her.... wait.... what does she do again?
-
Ah geez Sass... you are Irish? And I'll bet you are a Virgo? No WONDER you are a perfectionist! I'm Irish too, but my brain don't work like YOURS does.. Maybe it's all the chocolate cokes? Go to BED young lady! Your brain is working overtime!
-
Sas, my head is spinning reading all that. But actually I'm the same way when I'm onto something.
Sorry I can't comment on everything my mind just seems to wonder.
Cam, your beautiful. I wish my hair would grow faster.
On a road trip today.
Catch up later.
-
Morning owls. Cami - lovely picture of you, you look like someone I would like to know, but I already knew that. Chevy, what do I do? I do do whatever it is that I do. (I have done some editing & know that it's just helpful sometimes to have somebody read your chit). Today what I do is work in the garden... YAY. That's my Sunday church - communion with dirt. It's a beautiful sunnyday here & the stupid forecasts that predicted snow were all wrong. Sassypants, I think DQ is a one of a kind character - if one were to ask for a female version of Iago, for instance, even if I couldn't come up with one off the top of my head, I know there are lots of them. Not so with DQ - it's just you and him, which isn't saying you are insane lovely.
-
Beautiful ladies! Thanks for sharing the get together pic. But you're not fooling anyone. We know you were at the Hunk O' Mania Chippendale male strip show. I saw the dollar bills lined up on the table.
-
-
LOL FBB
2TA - great pic it looks like you were all having a good time watching the dancers.
-
Oh FBB u don't miss a thing, glad u'r posting--how are u feeling????
And Chevy I was up with Sas pretending I understood, My head was spinning and my thought process went to Zero--and u'r DD is right WE need editing maybe that's why I'm not getting anywhere with my letter writing with my politicians, and my DD! gets phone calls to watch my mental health, silly because I tell them the real thing not what they want to hear--Pushaw--ooo I like that word.Well we've been thru this before so I keep writing and they keep ignoring.
I hope all who likes to get their hands dirty with the earth does and all that don't stay clean.(That's fortune cookieish)
-
Morning owls! Sassy I followed yr Mata Hari link and Cami she's right, the resemblance is uncanny! There's even a purple scarf!
-
Since you all were bouncing around last night, you might like this. http://shar.es/TMtP9
I think one more trip to MIL old house and we'll be done. It's raining again (yeah). It poured on Friday, thunder and lightening, we don't get that often. Now it's going to be in the 90s by Wednesday! California-straight to summer in 2 weeks.
Have a good Sunday all
-
Sassy & Ziggycakepops, female version of DQ - Donna Q? When I first saw DQ, thought you meant Dairy Queen. Good thing we don't have wind minds around for Sassy to fight, her plate is already full.
Smaarty, great job! Thanks for the dancing bird video, what a work out for that little guy. Wonder if we're in for more rain too? Did hear we'll be sizzling by the end of the week.
Hmm, we should have hidden the dollar bills, we did hide the dancing boys!
Btw, Sassy, love the new avatar! Easier on the eyes, too
-
Great pic of the ladies who lunch! Can't wait to meet you 2TA! It's so special to meet BCO sisters IRL. California Dreaming ...
I don't think there's a female version of Don Quixote because for the most part we're too smart to go around tilting at windmills LOL.
-
Just me here... Yes, I know.... "big hair".... Ha! But I don't know how to fix any other way... !
Good video! Cleaned out underneath my cupboards awhile ago... just organizing and trying to figure out why I SAVE everything!
-
Beautiful! Big hair & all LOL. ♥
-
You could use a can of hair spray and my hair would not do that. I just went around being out of style during the big hair days. I could tease my hair, spray, and shake my head and it would go back to straight. I was pretty awesome during the straight hair days tho.
-
Oh Chevy u are beautiful and I wish I could have big hair, I'm lucky to have what I have, U have perfect eybrowns and u really know how to do u'r eyes. I just can't get that straight, never could. U'r skin is so pretty. OK enough smaltzy stuff. Wow I wish I had Mata Hari's body.
Well I finished all my paperwork frm 2008 til this year and it will go in the mail tomorrow-Whew, it's a mess but someone (me) had to do it. Now we shall wait. da da da DA.
-
Beautiful pic chevy.
-
awwww Chevy, I just wish I had 1/2 that much hair! Bee u tee ful
-
Hey you old biddybat , is that really a picture of you - or did you just find someone gorgeous and say it's you? Can't really tell from our days in the doghouse as it was dark in there..
Seriously sometimes with you I am surprised at these odd things.. I love bocce ball, and gardening, and beans on tortillas, and playing hard as nails. But I have never put rollers in my hair or 'fixed' it really. But here is the thing. One of my very, very best friends ever had BIG Texas size hair and it was peroxide blonde to boot. She was so wonderful and beautiful and lord God I wish she were still around. But you know, before I met her if someone had asked my if I would ever have this wonderful friend who was kind of my second mom - sister who had this giant peroxided hair.. I would have thought .. nah, we're too different. I was so stupid - really. And she had BC. Strange world.
-
Ok...I'm going to be a downer today, I just need to vent. I'm so tired of all these aches and pains. Just saying....that is all.
-
Nettie, downer? That was a vent? That was a statement to me. Hope you feel better soon, girl!
-
Thanks, 2nd!!!
-
Oh Nettie are u'r vents that tough with u'r Docs? That was barely a sentence. I'm sorry u'r having such a hard time, it's seems like it's time to feel good and it just doesn't happen--I know. Are u trying to walk a bit? I'm certainly not preaching I just repeat things. Cuz I'm the worst at exercise and I don't get endorphins from it either, just more misery. LOL I hope this stops for u and u start feeling better.
-
((Nettie)) vent away, this is a safe place. We feel your pain!
Today, especially in the knees, youch! ♥
-
Ok, this time, it's questions. How many of you stage II ladies have had scans due to aches and pains and how soon after dx or end of treatment did you have them?
just trying to do some math.
