Sensi, good for you! Beautiful pictures.
Shep, I believe Clint was good looking, and has a certain appeal now, but too old for me. He is 86..nearly 40 years older than me! Thanks for posting MY relationship status!! I hope FFH treats you well for your birthday.
-
Sensitive-you go girl. I think you needed that, to prove to yourself you can still do these things. You may be tired tomorrow or for a few days, so be sure to take it easy. I remember doing things after coming out of treatment and my body sometimes said "whoa there" and other times it felt like another hurdle had been oversome.
Love the photo of Chance too, I won't tell him about you cheating on him today. He will smother you with love tonight just the same!

ShepK, don't go and befriend with that "accident". You are worrying me. I don't think they have free wifi in jail yet. How would we get a hold of you? Get that silly thought out of your mind. So you are more than half a century. Hoping for many more (minus the pain, of course).
WildT, waiting is so hard. Hang in there. I hated that iron chest feeling. I was lopsided too as a Uni. Hope you continue with your exercise to bring the weight down to where you would like it to be. Oh, you are welcome to stay at our place whenever you are here in California.
JunieB, hola mi amor!!!
Sensi, how could you? Chance is a good boy. Hope you are not too sore tomorrow.
Jazzy, I laughed so hard with that cartoon. Yup, you are just as warped.
Mommy, you too.
Feline, don't you folks feel sorry for us? Scary time for this country. The more you know, the more you worry.
Welcome, Meow! So sorry for your worry and pain. Hope you can get in to see a doctor soon.
Lita, I might as well vote for Cousin It or Tinky.
Hootie hoo, Patty Boo! I used to hate Charlie Brown when I first saw it. Didn't understand what they were saying. Would prefer to watch Tom and Jerry because I didn't need to understand the language to enjoy the shows. I appreciate Charlie Brown now. Ha!
Yes, it was a good get together. It was really nice to see Sensi and Ms. S, and to meet you, JeanQ. If only you could listen to my thoughts...I had to be the more quiet one because if we women speak 20,000 words in a day, that means we each put out 850 words in an hour. There werefour of us and we only had 2 hours. Somebody had to say less. Ha!
Ay, look at the time. Nite and morning Feline.
-
The cartoon I put up here was sent to me by my niece. She's just as funny as my sister (her mom) was.
-
Happy Halloween friends!

a www
Wanted to give my FFH a head slap this morning. He was griping because I didn't have a chance to get to fix a small tear in one of the arm sleeves in his coat over the weekend. Told him I was sorry and that I would get to it tonight, but he knew I had been busy all weekend with other things
-
Jazzy - Getting a cancer diagnosis is so surreal, I cant imagine it happening within weeks of a loved one's diagnosis. I'm glad the two of you had each other but then it must have been hard to help the other when youre in the midst of treatment yourself. Love the ghost doggies, and the rear ended witch too.
Sensi!! - you are inspirational, what a beautiful hike. Hope you didnt overdo it. Puppy and you are a good pair, great pic.
Loverly - haha, I knew you were thinking, thinking, thinking and not talking! Words per hour... I've never thought of that, can we distribute evenly next lunch?? It was so great to meet you, looking forward to sharing more time with you
Wildt - Clint could do a movie as an aging handyman who gets bad guys. I love him, especially some of his old man movies Trouble with the Curve and Grand Torino. And to answer your question why cant they be cute and young...the repairs need to get done maam. If they were cute and young who knows what might happen!
Happy halloween to everyone. We dont get trick or treaters so its a non holiday around here except DH insists we buy candy and then I spend the night trying not to eat it. Doctor day today so hoping to get this temporary drain out and the other side aspirated. Does anyone have tips for NOT having this fluid build up over and over? I heard it might be associated with activity so I've done almost nothing this week except one lovely lunch...I am going batty
-
Not doing candy this year as last year we hardly got any kids. We were pretty much the only people on our street left to give out candy.
-
JeanQ- 2012 was a wicked year, never had more bad things happen in one single year than that year. We made it through and that is the part I like to focus on now!
-
Happy Halloween from Chance and I
-
Hey Lita, best wishes on your infusion today. Minimal SE's with maximal cancer butt kicking.
I forgot to report that JeanQ is not only adorable, but has a great sense of humor! Looking forward to future outing. Maybe you Ca ladies can join me hiking with the group my coworker recently introduced me. Regarding conversations: I am a slow processor of words. I have to think about what I hear first before I can response. By the time I am ready to say something, people has already gone to the next topic. Ha! That was the reason why I was concerned going without Ms. S. She is quiet on here, but she can chat. And I am SO glad you are even chattier. Haha
Susan, you ok?
-
jazzjunebug, how's hip, and how long before pups. Looking forward to pictures
Sensi, how are you feeling after that beautiful hike? Love the leaf angel!! Is chance trick or treating?
Mommyof2... Wow snow..
Lover, sensi, smaarty, Jean, great picture of you gals. It's so nice to get together with fellow email friends:)
Jazzy, glad your trip was good, and your feet made it...even if they slowed down.
Got most tests done, cancer is still stable, yeah, heart muscle is good, didn't do stress test yet. If that comes out well, I will go to pulmonary doc.....going Thursday for more cardio tests. And I have shingles..boo
Patti, are the kids trick or treating?? Or are they to old
Hello everyone else, sheps, and wildtulip, and my mind just stopped...sorry for forgetting some
-
Yeah Susan, but it all melted. Got maybe half an inch
-
JeanQ-So nice to run into you today at the doctors office. Hope you don't have to return again anytime soon and have to be drained again.
Susan-a little sore after the hike, but it felt good to get out and do something. Can't take credit for the leaf angel, that was Wild
.
Wild-love the leaf angel as well
Jazzy-glad you had a good trip. I think I missed the pics you posted (thought I saw a post about pics), will have to try and go back and look for them. The hike was very good for me.
Meow-sorry you are having hip pain. Sending healing thoughts your way.
Shep-I have to agree. Great group of ladies. Normally I'm more on the quiet side and shy at first (then I become a smarta**), but fee very comfortable around these 3.
Lover-you can always share your thoughts here, or I agree with Jean, we'll just give you more of a chance to talk
Lita-hope your infusion went well today. Hope your SE are minimal
Hello Feeling-Wren-Mommy-Patty Sas! and anyone else I missed. Have a safe and Happy Halloween
-
lover, and fellow California girls, Claire, Elena, myself, and my uncle ( who ispicking us up) , will be in San Fran on the 6 th of December. It's a Tuesday. Our plane arrives at 12:50. Would love to see if we could meet somewhere, early afternoon. What do you think? Could we swing it?
-
Susan, I hope we can make it work, I'm in and would be happy to drive. We will have to figure out where.
The card I sent to Hin1 can back today. I thought I had her new address. I'll get it back out tomorrow.
I thought we all talked a lot! 😝
I hopeeverybody is doing ok. We've only had 3 kids come to the door. Slow this year.
-
ok, I checked. We can meet in Petaluma. Only 82 miles from Sacramento and on 101 on your way north. We just need to find a fast food place or sit down.
Evies first Halloween.
-
Evie is so cute. Elena is a pumpkin. Can't get the pic off my phone. Hate technology..lol. Sit down restaurant sounds good.
-
Susan- find a teenager, they know more about these phones than anyone!
Smarty- cute first Halloween pic of Evie!
-
Well, apparently I've seriously lost track of time. I come back and find I am 4 pages behind here. Hmph!
Happy Halloween 2 All!
Last week I seriously over did it. Between doing major cleaning on the weekend of the 22nd, then shopping for stuff for cupcakes, baking all day last Wednesday, treatment on Thursday (which I barely drug myself to), then volunteering on Friday. Saturday & Sunday I didn't leave my apartment. Sunday I even stayed in my pajamas all day. Today had to go to MO's office to pick up the cupcake carriers so I could refill them with the cupcakes for the church's Harvest Celebration this evening. I am dragging my cabboose.
As I said before though, it is very satisfying to see others enjoy the treats when I make them.
Such a neat picture of our lunch friends. Glad you had a great time. If I haven't said so yet, Welcome to you Jean Q!
Sensi - You know that Chance knows you cheated on him. Remember dogs have a sense of smell far beyond ours. You're caught! Time for an "I'm sorry" present.
Jazzygirl - Glad you got to see so much on your trip and that your feet held up pretty well. On my maternal side of my family there is a significant amount of cancer. brain, liver, kidney, breast and bone. I was dx'd w/ the BC at 31. My mother not until she was in her late 60's. So unexplainable.
Shep - Sorry I missed your Birthday, so here is a belated B-day wish. Also, I missed what it is your FFH did this time, but can I be third in line to smack him upside the head?
Smaarty - Just when I think Evie can't get any cuter, you surprise us with yet another pic of her adorableness.
Loverly - You quiet? Naw! Glad you get to spend an extra day with DD1 over Thanksgiving.
Susan - Looking forward to Elena's pumpkin pic. I am so glad to hear that your cancer is still stable and that you don't have any heart issues either. Whew!
Spoke with Cairn breeder yesterday and she sent me a short video of the puppies. They will be 3 weeks old this coming Wednesday and their eyes opened last Friday. They are quite active nipping each others ears, pushing each other with their paws and yipping. Too cute!
My brain is fading and eyes are drooping, so I'll wave goodnight to WildT (cool leaf Angel), Lookie, Feline, Patty & M0mmy2.
Goodnight & sleep well everyone!
-
-
Wonderful, Susan. Tuesday is my day off! Yay!!!! Need to make arrangement on where to meet that is convenient for you. What food do you like? I can try and find a restaurant off of Highway 101. Sorry about the shingles. Hope you won't get any lasting nerve pain. Did doc put you on antiviral meds or they caught it too late? Bummer.
Mommy and WildT, brrrrrr. Sounds like a lot of work getting ready for the winter.
Jazzy, may you never face another "2012" again! I also have learned to set boundaries after bc.
Awww Evie and Chance. Can't wait to see Elena photo.
JunieB, you are so sweet. Another person with the labor of love.
Shep, I hope FF is still in one piece.
-
Thank you for the birthday wishes! Hope everyone had an awesome Holiday! FFH, DS and I took my little niece and nephew out for trick or treat. So much fun! Our neighborhood really gets into Halloween. Lots of really great themed displays and most of the adults dress up too. The kids got soooo much candy! I was riding my John Deere scooter and we had to use my big front basket to haul it all home. FFH made out pretty good as well......he got a beer, some little mini bottles of apple cinnamon spice Crown Royal and two jello shots 😛
We went out for dinner after dropping the kids off. Here we are all dressed up - he's a Fart Face and I'm a Wolf 🐺
Kitty Niece & Ninja Nephew
Good Morning Feline! Good nite everyone else!
-
Loverly- thanks for the kind thoughts about not having another 2012. I know there may be more challenging times ahead, but think I have a better sense of who to count on for support. Not everyone does the cancer thing, right?
-
Have a busy day today. FFH is home sick with a cold, so I will be busy with taking care of him besides the housework.
-
happy belated skep.
Skep where do they give out drinks for Halloween? 🙄
JunieB, have you picked out one of the pups yet? Do you have a name?
Morning all. Working on computer stuff today. Will start cleaning house and packing on Friday and Saturday, then we're off! Finally getting excited.
Mommy, you have a FFH too? 😟
-
He's usually pretty okay, but when he gets sick or he gets in a mood he can be a FF
-
Hope I can get pic to my e mail. Elena looks funny in her costume. Don't tell Claire I dais that...shhhhh
Lover...shingles aren't bad at all. There popped up in my surgical boob area. Really don't have any feeling there. And yes I am on anti viral and have had no more break outs since. The ones I have are already scabbed up.....as far as restaurants go, I have a really bad peanut allergy, so gotta be careful there. Claire is really really excited to meet you guys too.
Back to cleaning
-
loverly. What. Didn't understand charlie brown? Lol. About as hard as it is to understand my typos sometimes.
Dss didn't get to do trick or treating. Dhs step dad died sunday. He was 84. Dh and dss left for tx 8 hours - Monday morning. I couldn't make the trip. My back couldn't handle it. I hate not being able to be there to console dss. They've not been to many funerals. Watching them grieve in their own ways sat made me think how are they going to handle my death. Ugh. Dh is a great day and I know he will do the very best he can but with his own pain I hope it's enough.
Hootie hoo all
