Thanks everyone.

I know Lita. I was lucky that I got waivers just to cover the tuition while going for my Associate's. I dread thinking about how much it would have cost hubby and I without it.
-
Hi Mags (Waving) Lovely to see you!
-
Mags- I will meet you at that beach any old time!
-
(yaaaaawwwn)
poking my head out of JunieB's pocket ......so comfy in here and smells like cupcakes . . . . . Hoping for treatment to go easier on you Junie Girl with no skin uckies. . . . . snuggling back in. . . . wake me up if you need me 😴
Happy Thursday to All ☺
-
Smaarty - Sorry to hear your Mom is feeling badly. I hope she gets to feeling better soon. Also, Ben is a cutie too.
Shep - Treatment went better this time. So far no major itching. But it has only been a couple hours, so we'll see. My body is screaming from my having spent all day yesterday baking, but it was all worth it to see how much the folks at the MO's office enjoyed the treats. I made 3 types of cupcakes, for a total of 7 dozen. There are at least 50 people working in the office, lab and treatment area.
Is your B-day this month?
Also, I followed the link you posted for the Green Chef. They said they would get back to me within 7-10 days as to whether I am chosen.
I am also going to follow your lead and go take a nap.
Puppies are 2 weeks old now. Eyes are starting to open some. Will post pics later.
M0mmy - Have you ever looked into the companies that rent books to students for a semester, then you return them when your done. Saves a whole lot of money and you're not stuck with what to do with the books after the class is over.
Ok, nap time. BBL
-
Feline, Lovely video! So cool you could be a part of the project.
JeanQ, I hope your temporary drain comes out soon! Yes, a man who can cook would be awesome, and even better if he does dishes! LOL
Shep, There is also a site, www.carecalendar.org which has a calendar to organize meals and chores for those in need. It's a free website.
Smaarty, I'm sorry about your mom. I hope she's doing better. I bet Ben's smile helps you..he's a cutie. Thanks for cheering me on.
Shep, 7 dozen cupcakes..oh, my! Glad you feel okay so far.
Loverly, WHAT was DD thinking going off to college so far away?! I would not like to do that drive either. Yes, my mood is better. My energy varies, but I think a little better. No, you are not being too protective, and yes, you should come screen any potential man for me! I don't feel like I have good perspective right now..it's just been too long since a man has shown interest that I may have to resist jumping at the first offer to come my way. I'm sure I'm reading into friendliness anyway.
It's supposed to be about 70 in MN tomorrow, and it was only in the 50's today! I'm planning to get some raking done. We've had lots of wind and rain lately, so most of my trees are bare. Take care, everyone.
-
Popping in to wave hello. Hope everyone is well. Looking forward to lunch tomorrow ladies
-
Yes, Sensi, looking forward to seeing everyone. Should I bring a mask for everyone? Ha! Hope your WBC is good. Will try not to sneeze on you.
Susan, fingers crossed for favorable ECG report.
Kath, best wishes this weekend. Zero stress and much joy.
JunieB, how many dozen?!? Oh my! Your place must have smell heavenly. Wish I were one of the recipients of your muffin. for no rash.
Shepk, I have behaved myself and didn't make much noise so that you can have much needed rest from the long ride and Zometa injection. I promise I won't call you any names.
Thanks again ,Mommy.
WildT, I got my days mixed up. We are taking DD back on Saturday, not Friday. Leave it up to me to plan Thank God DH has a good head on his shoulders. My memory is terrible. I am glad he does all the planning.
Everyone deserves to have someone to love and be loved. I do believe that we are not made to be alone, but it's better to be alone than to be with someone who doesn't value you. Our emotions sometimes play tricks on us. Ok it's late and I don't know what I am rambling about. Night and good morning Feline. Need to get to bed or I will look like a racoon tomorrow.

It's hard to really differentiate between the puppies just yet, but here they are at 2 weeks old.

Ok, I tried to copy & paste pics of the puppies from FB, but when I clicked on "submit" the pics didn't show up. Sorry.

Goodnight / Good morning

Catching up ~ hope I don't miss anyone!
Feline ~ Good Morning to you! Very touching video. So fun to see and hear you and DD. How excited was she to have her photos printed in the papers? Wonderful that you could share such an exciting day together while helping out a charity.
Susan ~ Yay for liking your new doc! When do you go for your eco? Better to get it over and done with soon so the test will confirm what we all know – best heart ever. Shelby in her little coat and boots….tooo cute. Her thick white fur make the booties look like mukluks!
Sensi ~ Hoping your SEs are backing off. Chance is going to be so happy to have his mama with him for the next 3 weeks
Loverly ~ Thank you for being nice to me
Marti's birthday this year was a special one. Both of our birthdays are this month …..hers was last Monday, mine is this coming Monday. She turned 13 which is my birthdate backwards. Marti was supposed to be a family "gift" but she's all mine. Hope you are feeling better. The only nice SE of hormonal therapy – no more lady-time!
Lita ~ Ooooh…your new avatar pic is with Thomas! My DS loved Thomas when he was little. You take nice photos – love your big smile and pretty red lipstick!
M0mmy ~ Very proud of you! Tackling such a touchy issue for your paper and getting it done early. And standing up for yourself in the discussion group about the expensive text book. You go girl! I can't believe those jerks are still stealing your signs! How in the world can they justify trespassing on your property? Maybe you should surround the new sign with land mines aka dog poop? Ha!
Jean ~ Lost in Space was the best! FFH and I both loved it as kids and still love it now. Those early shows were scary! We tried watching the shows with our kids and they hated it….thought it was stupid and boring. Boo on the drains and pain. I can't tolerate gabapentin but can take Cymbalta – it works for nerve pain but is in a different drug class. Envious of your lunch outing with the ladies. Full report please!
JunieB ~ Hope your resting comfortably. Baking a gazillion cupcakes and going for treatment…..wow! Still the Wonder Woman! Is your hip behaving? Prayers for it to stay put and heal. And no pain! Puppy is 2 weeks already! Isn't it fun "baby" shopping? The Dog Outdoors is one of my faves for hard to find, well made doggie stuff. Excellent customer service. They sell nice booties for a reasonable price too. Excited to see your puppy pics! Cool about the Green Chef. Curious to know how it is.
Patty ~ That WAS a creepy thumb pic Loverly posted! Ewwww. Awesome to be able to do things with your sons! May you continue to feel betterish and have lots and lots of fun this Holiday weekend
WildT ~ FFH didn't get pulled over on the way to my appointments this time. BUT he did stop for a haircut on the way home - I stayed in the van laying down. Grrrrr. I took Ativan for nausea prevention this time before my infusion and it worked great! No pukieness and no stomach issues. Yay! Working with your hands and feet being so ucky must be so hard. 50% better is good; hoping for 100% better! Glad you are able to take some time off. The Cooking man at work sounds very nice. Maybe he will become a good friend? Good friends first, dating later…much less pressure! Are the twins trick or treating this year? I miss going out with the kids…..and eating the candy! I'm going to try to go out for a little bit with my little niece and nephew. Love seeing the costumes and all the neat decorations the neighbors put up. I like the way the Care Calendar looks – very nicely laid out. I think I'll use that instead of the Meal Train. Thanks for sharing!
LOOKIE!!!!! Hey you! We've been missing you here!
Tang ~ Good to see you!
Smaarty ~ Is your mum doing better? Hope you have been able to get some rest for yourself. Nice that she is close enough that you can stay with her. So sweet that DS is helping out too. Ooooh and those cute babies!
Mags ~ Best medical advice ever ⛱
Kath ~ Hoping for all to be wonderful for the wedding!
FFH told me tonight that he is taking Friday to Thursday off from work. Gah. Bad enough when he is off on the weekends. Claims it is for my birthday. I'm hoping he goes off hunting for deers. Stupid Fart Face thpppp……..
-
Edited to fix pic link
Loverly ~ Here's a Rocky for you 😛
-
Jazzy- I got so sick of getting little to nothing back from my textbooks that renting them is what I do.
No problem Lover!!!!
Shep- I am so looking forward to the end of semester! This class is draining me fast! Most of my classmates and the professor don't realize that I am an older student who has other responsibilities than forking out a fortune for textbooks
-
Loverly, That's so great that you figured out you have an extra day with DD after Thanksgiving. It sounds like you have a good DH and you two balance each other out.
Shep, So FFH couldn't drop you off and THEN go get a haircut?! UGH!! My mamma bear instinct is coming out and I want to smack him upside the head. I hope he doesn't annoy you too much this weekend and treats you well for your birthday. You're right...I should focus on friends first with any man at this point. Baby steps back into the world of dating. Yes, the twins will go trick or treating. Although 16, cognitively much younger, so they still love getting dressed up and going out. I don't know if I ever mentioned, but my DD has a feeding tube. She does some stuff orally, and goes to therapy every week to work on it, but 99% of her calories are from formula. But, she still loves to trick or treat. I always tell her, "Go get mamma some chocolate!" We have this tradition that my mom comes over, and the kids' dad, we all have pizza and go trick or treating. Sometimes my mom stays at the house, sometimes she walks with us. There is one house a few blocks away that goes crazy with decorations, so we will go there and check out the display. I hope you get the chance to go out with your niece and nephew.
I hope everyone has a good Friday!!
-
I got tired while raking, so I took a break and made a leaf Angel!
-
-
WIldtulip that is a lot of leaves, good exercise for you. Nice that your family gets together for hallowe'en.
It has been rainy and gloomy here, not a great fall. We had a very early snowfall, but it melted thank heavens.
I am off to get new reading glasses, I bought progressives last year year and can't wear them, what a waste of money.
Mommy you are right about the cost of books and the resale is very low. I spent last week cleaning the basement, my son has containers of university books . I wish he would donate them, but he doesn't want to part with them.
Shep nice pictures of your doggie. We are going to have to visit the vet in the next couple of days, our dog who is elderly does not eat well and gets sick once a week. I just don't want him in pain
-
Hi Mag. Wouldnt it be nice if beach therapy was all we needed?
Hey, Forward. I am sorry to hear your fur baby is not well
So sad to see them suffer. You can probably donate your glasses. There are groups that take them to other countries. Our Costco collects them (not sure for which organizations). I miss you too (and a few other ladies)
WildT, you crack me up. Good to preserve that "child" in you. Good way to excercise. Stay away from the chocolates! Don't want you goal sabotaged. He does sound like a caring guy...but.... doesn't hurt to question people's motives, but sad that we have to. Yes, baby steps so you can guard your heart. I would hate to see you get hurt. You deserve someone who will take care of you so you can continue to be the amazing loving momma to your precious gifts.
ShepK, I feel for you my friend. Ay yay yay that Fart Face! No words. I am standing in line to give him a head slap.
Btw, i only see a big square box. Whatever u were trying to post does not load with my phone. Hmmmm will take a look with my desk top.
-
So far no more political signs have been swiped from my lawn. Maybe whoever was doing this finally got tired of it
-
They will do it again. I was going to suggest the same trap too. Scary she thinks like me
-
I think the dog poop trap is a great idea.

ShepKitty: Love the Rocky pic....2nd pic looks like they're lovers, ha ha. We went to see Thomas and Percy last Sunday. Really fun day, but my back was screaming the next day because we walked around for a couple of hours looking at stuff...that's the most I've walked in months. I'm going to the "Bay Area Cancer Connection" seminar in Redwood City next Friday, and it will be a LONG day, so I have to keep up the walking b4 I go so I won't be too tired. I usually get around w/my cane, but gonna throw my walker in the trunk just in case I need it. Taking Ativan for nausea? Tell me more!
WildT: All those leaves...I'm impressed. Wish I could still do yard work. Can't b/c of bone mets, but sometimes when DH is not around, I prune/dead head my rose bushes. He gets mad when he catches me out there...just trying to be protective, bless his heart.
DH is taking Monday off so he can deal w/the tricker treaters (he works nights). I'm having an infusion that afternoon, so I'm going to spend the early evening in the La-Z-Boy. Have a great weekend!
Lita

Wildtulip- I forgot to answer your question about my feet in NYC. In general, I did pretty well but found myself having a hard time by the last day when we were down at the 911 Memorial and Museum. We did a lot of walking in that area, then walked over through the City Hall park and across the Brooklyn Bridge. I was slowing down at that point when we got on the bridge, and my sister was pushing at me to go faster, and told her to go ahead if she needed to walk faster. She backed off.
We probably walked 5-6 miles every day. Whew!
-
smarty - wow Ben should be in commercials. That smile is super adorable. Glad to eat your Mom is home
Lovely. Lol my autocorrect. Didn't even notice it. Some days donkey is the more appropriate word. Teenage hormone stuff is tough !
Mommy2. Hooray for credible online classes now. Snow already ? Boo. Was 80 today here.
Junieb. 7 doz cupcakes ? Holy moly. U rock
Shep. Glad the Ativan helped this time
Wild tulip. Never seen a leaf angel. Awesome !
Bbl only 2 hours until The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. Gotta get my jammies on and popcorn ready. Ds1 home sick today so off to bed early. Ds2 staying the night at a fruends and dh getting up like 3 am To go hunting so surely he will go to bed early. Yea! No one hollering for mom to do this or that. Just me and the Charlie Brown gang.
I snail mailed holeinone like last week or week before. I can't remember. 😣. So far no response. Praying she is off to an extended golfing tournament
Hootie hoo

Snow didn't stay. Melted when it turned to rain. Think we got about an inch of snow and probably an inch of rain. We need any form of precipitation we can get. In drought conditions and under mandatory water conservation order here.
Started looking at course offerings for Spring term at SNHU today. Found a few classes that sound interesting like Shakespeare. The best thing about if I take that course, is I may not have to buy the books. I have the Complete Works of Shakespeare already.
