Not to mention getting chased by the geese in my Grandparents yard on your WAY to the out-house! Scared my Brother and I half to death! It was only a one seater.... They saved cataloges for the "paper"...
-
Yeah, it was a bit drafty. I was always afraid I'd fall in.No geese, just nasty mean chickens.
-
I am so glad my Grandma's house had indoor plumbing by the time I was growing up. I suppose a three seater outhouse was the equivalent of a house with three bathrooms nowadays. Very fancy. Probably the envy of the neighborhood.

Mamma Ray, Bless you, May he keep you in the hollow of his cloak.
Susan hugs, sorry

1984/85: Billy Idol, Van Halen and Band Aid!
-
The 70's and 80's had the BEST groups and music! I loved the Disco songs! When our Husbands would go on a hunting or fishing trip, us gals would go out and drink and DANCE our butts off! We had SO much fun, never getting into trouble.... no drugs in those days, I don't think...
And I remember taking in ironing to make money, and setting the ironing board out back on our patio, IN the sun.... Playing music so loud, it's a wonder the neighbors didn't complain.... Janice Joplin... the Righteous Brothers.... And it made all that ironing a lot more fun!
I can't imagine a 3 seater.... Ha! I mean it's STILL one at a time... Ha! We only have one bathroom in this house... and I STILL think anyone with more than one is "rich".... You just take turns.... all 4 of us.... The first little places we rented only had one also.... We developed extremely good timing...

My grandpa had an indoor toilet but no running water. I remember going out to the pump and getting a bucket of water to flush. Gross. Hated going there. He lived that way til he died in '84. He had the money and Many people offered to pay. No he liked it the way it was.
Warming up a bit today but still staying below freezing. Current wind chill is 8°. Brr

Patty, I am glad I live in California. BRR
Has Deb checked in yet?
It is raining cats and dogs here and Mitzy refuses to go pee/poo. I need to keep an EYE on her.
Last night at badminton, a man I often play against had a heart attack! He is in the hospital now. Not sure what procedure they are doing today. Thought he was having a seizure because his eyes were open and his body was moving without awareness of the surrounding. Scariest thing to witness. Ms. Sas, could v. Fib cause seizure like movement of the upper body? I was hesitant at first to do CPR right away because I thought he was having a seizure. Another player initiated CPR right away as soon as we couldn't find his pulse. Thank God EMT came within 5 minutes after someome called 911

Happy Birthday Glennie! Doing anything special today?
-
Hey Patty, good to hear you are keeping food down. You need a break Missy. Diarrhea gone? Yes, it was scary to see someone one minute was fine and the next minute you didn't know if he wasgoing to make it or not. He is not that old, maybe late 40's or early 50's. The poor guy...very sweet and kind. We just don't know about the future. I am reminded again how fragile life is and that I should treasure the people and time I have. Live in a way where you are blessing to others and ultimately to bring honor and glory to Him.
-
loverly. Well said.

Welcome Susie! No worries. Just jump in anytime. We talk about everything. The only thing you need to remember is I am the most sane. Well, at least that what I think MammaRay is from Ohio, but she is taking a break from the board
Captured this the other day on my walk. Something about water droplets on spider web that intrigue me.

Hi, everyone,, thank you for the birthday wishes. I spent the day with my BFF,, we went to botanical garden that we had not visited before,, despite the cold, it was a lovely place and we look forward to going back when it is a bit warmer. Lunch out with her,, dinner out with another friend,, I'm stuffed. And still have a piece of coconut cake here,,, if I eat it tonight, there are no calories on my birthday, right??
Welcome Susie,, it is crazy here, we talk about anything and everything,, just jump in.
Loverly,, that was scary. Hope your friend will be ok.
Love that song by Sister Sledge!!

loverly, yes very often a heart disruption looks like a seizure. h.the heart conduction system can be doing a number of things. v-f, v-t, flatline. what may present as a seizure is the drop in cardiac output. three seconds of no cardiac output will drop out theblood flow to the brain. some brain will get erratic, others are the silent nod or fall.
sorry about you friend.
