We're all very glad you're still here, Lisa!! Congrats!
And Leah, I'm so happy for you--that's wonderful news! It appears our 2nd DGS whose birth was thought to be imminent last Monday, has now decided he's not at all sure he wants to come. So, we're all still waiting.
Isabella, that 1st psychic was just eerie. I've always been interested in the supernatural but haven't ever known anyone who actually had a "reading". Do you think it's possible that DD clued her into anything? If not, that's very strange indeed. Shudder....
Kathy

Chrissy, I was looking at your picture again..and I take dibs on the little clearing across the stream that is so peaceful ...do we need a campfire and a tent?
thanks for the congrats...still vertical...

Hey Chrissy and Lisa Happy verseries!!
Leah, a new baby what a gift!
Kathy, maybe he'll be a Christmas baby.
Isabella, that supernatural stuff freaks me out.
I had my surgery on the 23rd last year, so I barely remember Christmas. I asked for and got lots of pjs. (which I have to admit came in really handy) This year I am enjoying every minute.
Hope all of you can enjoy family and friends over the holidays too!!!
-
I could pack one Lisa and we could sit back and enjoy the sound of the bubbling water as it rushes by...........ahhhhhh! Bliss!
Love n hugs all. Chrissy -
Leah - Mazal Tov, on the new granddaughter. What a blessing to arrive especially at this time of year.
Isabella - the so called psychic could have easily gotten any information from you DD during precious reading and just asking the right questions as your DD talked. Almost all psychics are just good listeners and very keen observers. Believe what you wish but beware when it comes to psychics.
Lisa - happy cancerversary. Hope to have you around a very long time with you beautiful pictures.
Joy and blessings to all. AJ

Posted on "our" other thread, but letting you all know our new grandson, Aiden James, arrived today. Beautiful, and everybody's fine! I posted a pic on FB for anybody who's a friend there, but just had a cell phone and don't think I can post those here. We're so glad he's here and all is well!
Kathy
-
Congrats Kathy, hug him closely!
-
My dogs would love a nice walk around this beautiful place.
-
Congratulations Kathy. Give him lots of hugs and kisses. AJ
-
Congratulations Kathy! Such wonderful news!
My new granddaughter's name is Efrat. She's arrived at just the right time to give joy to her very worried grandmother. I'm having a CT on Thurs, had a bone scan yesterday. I've been having achiness where the tumor in my sacrum is and my TMs are creeping up. I'd rather think about my new delight.
Leah

Congratulations to the new grandmothers - or rather welcome to new additions, nothing is better than a baby to make us smile.
Here are my two with there little cousin. Sam just wants to give Aylah kisses - its so sweet..
We had our Christmas dinner tonight and will shortly be off to the midnight service at the cathedral as both DDs are singing. DD1 is the soloist.
Hugs and Blessings

H i guys: i know i've been mia: and i apologize.. been very ill followed by a huge depression. trying to get my neighbor to move out was a trial; he had plenty of time but if i don't move byJan 1st, i have to pay double for each unit.. so we ended up packing a lot of His stuff; taking it to Boynton, then it ended me in bd for 2 day..
Its now Christmas Eve and i've just sent him on his way this morning...
so other than a small break tommorrow morning for my kids and grands we've been working non stop cleaning the new unit. it was beautiful, but filthy!!Been bleaching everything in sight, and my breathing sure doesn't like that!!!

3Jays...so pleased to see you again. Hope all is going well with the move....guilt trip the boys into helping !!
Kathy, congratulations . at last , on the new arrival. I saw his pic on FB, he looked quite angry !!!! I don't think he ever intended coming this side of Christmas !!!
Had a quiet day today, Christmas Eve. I went out for lunch with DH. I didn't want to go really, but he sees it as one of 'our' traditions ( Can't get thru' that we aren't an 'our' anymore !!) It's bad enough that I have to tag him along to DDs with me tomorrow....I don't want him alone on Christmas Day, and the kids like to see him... so I try make this my one Christmas concession. But when my 'phone went this morning I hadn't the heart to say no.
We went to a local restaurant where we had been going on Christmas Eve for about 25 years. It was not too busy, so we stood and waited to be seated, and we waited, and we waited. No-one even said 'Good afternoon ' to us. There were 5 waitresses and 1 barman on reception, all chattering away among themselves...sooo bad mannered. We were standing there about 4 or 5 minutes. So, I turned tail and walked out !! DH turned round, and wondered where I was going , came cantering after me, expecting me to go right back in !! No way, and I shalln't be going again ! We piled into the car, and headed to another place we knew, which had closed down, unbeknown to me ! Great, 3 pm, and nowhere to go !!
I headed up onto the bypass, and pulled into an awful diner place. All red plastic chairs, bright strip lighting... and virtually empty....no wonder, the food was awful...I was pleased to be back home this evening, eating a nice sandwich !
The house is so quiet tonight, I never bothered to put up decorations just for myself, and feel a bit odd , and miss the lovely family Christmas's we used to have when the children were young. Lots of log fires, big tree and greenery around the house, all the mess and excitement around the place. Tomorrow I will be with DD and her family, but by the time I have fed all the animals and settled them down, and tidied myself up and actually driven there I will have missed the g/children opening their presents. Of course, the 'other' g/parents will be there for all this, because they have nothing to stop them getting there at the crack of dawn...and I shall get 'Where have you been...time you got rid of some of those animals'...and I shall reply (under my breath, time we 'got rid' of you!!)
Just nipping outside into the barns. Something I have done for as long as I can remember on Christmas Eve. The animals are supposed to be able to speak to us on Christmas Eve. I wander around chatting to them and watching them munching their hay, but in all these years I have never heard any of them say a word !!!!! I just can't let Christmas Eve pass by without my trip outside !
Happy Christmas to all my friends wherever you are in the world.
Isabella.

Merry Christmas from down under! I'm just sitting waiting for the kids to arrive wich should be in about half an hour. Ham is in the over and all other prep done and waiting to be put on the table.........thank goodness Christmas only comes ones a year!!
I wish you good health, peace and a sense of joy that will last the whole year!
Love n loads of hugs for all! Chrissy -
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night. I will be MIA for a few days as I will be traveling to see DD#2 and 4 granddaughters. Wishing you all many days of joy and blessings. AJ

Merry Christmas to all my "sisters" and may the New Year bring health and happiness.

Had the most wonderful Christmas with all my family. Dinner on Christmas Eve. Wonderful turkey and ham, salads, a sweet potato bake and more followed by fresh berry fruit salad, pavlova and triflle as well as Christmas pudding.
This was after a cricket game on the back lawn - the big boys playing with the little ones cricket set until it got a bit more serious and some old bats were found.
Yesterday we had a light lunch - just added salmon and bread to the left overs. Took MiL home and then watched five hours of Pride and Prejudice. Had a sandwich at some point.
So I hope your day was as good as ours. The grandchildren were wonderful (Sam did have a trantrum when his mother tried to get him to draw on a write-on book. I suddenly realised what he was saying no book no book. He has been told so often you don't write on books, he was happy when I found paper and we sat a drew for ages).
I am sitting here feeling all content.
This was just before dinner
-
Merry Christmas to all and especially to the new arrivals. We have been down on our internet for days. SOmething to do with the provider. DH says it is not good when they offer you a credit on your bill on the very first call in to report trouble and he was right!
Alyson I love that you have a matching table cloth for the littler table in the dining room.
Isabella, I too, miss those days of the big Christmas Eve and Christmas at our house but the visiting 4 year old boy makes me think I wouldn't have done too well with the noise level today. He, along with family is here for a total of nearly two weeks. Love having them, just surprised how loud a remote control car can be.
Merry Christmas to all.
Ginger
-
Ginger, just remember that it's not a coincidence that the word 'boys' rhymes with the word 'noise'.
Glad everyone is enjoying the holiday!
Leah
-
Leah, the boys/noise connection is so true! Our house was blissfully quiet after the gang left. DGS (3 years old) got a toy weed eater and used it for what seemed like hours (indoors) and new DGS makes a powerful noise when he needs feeding.
Beautiful table and beautiful room, Alyson!

Isabella, I DO believe in psychics as I've been read and told I am very, very powerful myself. I have stunned friends with what I come out with. I don't know when I know something, it just comes out. Once when I was read she asked about a dresser with a broken leg. Yep! I'd just bought an antique dresser and was concerned about one of the legs. How the HECK would she know that??? No one else in the world did except me!! I don't belive in "future" readings as the future hasn't happened yet.
Alyson, LOVE your festive table!! I, too, miss the pomp and ceremony we used to have on Christmas...sigh. My DH and I were alone as usual as we see everyone on the 28th this year. Sometimes it's not until New Years Day! Didn't miss all the noise though. With 3 grandsons 2 and under it will be quite the noise level on the 28th at my brothers!! He's having us ALL. I think he, too, misses the noise of Christmas and is looking forward to the kidlets. His own girls are just in University so he's "using" my grands for the action! hehehehehehe
Surely 2013 will be WAY better than 2012!!! Can't wait!
-
How fun, all these grand babies. And psychics and dogs. I'm in the 6 mos past last chemo funk, trying to be more optimistic and grow hair faster and such. Vacation is good but eork provides more structure and distraction!
Going of for 3 days with DH to visit SIL and see the mountains. -
Hi Lisa, life will slowly return to normal once your hair has grown. It's amazing how we can gauge how we feel by the lenght of our hair and only someone who has lost their hair can really know just how that feels. Hope you enjoy the visit to see your SIL and get to absorb some of the serenity that mountains can give.
What a lazy few days since Christmas! DD2 and GS2 will be leaving in the morning so my house will be quiet once more........lol......although the laughter than invades my space when they are here is wonderful. My little dog is getting old and this time, although she has loved seeing everyone, has not coped well with the actual noise so the first day or two was a bit of a trial for her. Thank goodness she has adjusted and is not so worried now but I can see her wondering what happened to it when they leave. My fridge is still jam packed with food and I think it is multiplying!! It just seems that the more we eat the more is in there!! UGH!!!!! Never mind.....lol.....at least there is very little cooking needed for meals......lol.
Hoping your holidays have been and are all that you wished for.
Love n hugs. Chrissy
-
Chrissy, I am like your older dog and get overwhelmed with noise! Of course, it's the Fibromyalgia that does that. I am about to go to my bro's house where he is hostind my whole gang! Very kind of him as he doesn't know I can't do it myself... I have to stay loaded up on pain meds to keep me calmed down and not let pain get to the forefront. I'm missing my nap today too, which will make it doubly hard to get through this!! But tonight is our Christmas and I can't wait to have all the little boys around me! I'm hoping for a picture....
-
Something else I forgot about that the psychic said to me.
Just as she was finishing talking to me she said 'look out for butterflies...they'll be all around you this year' And what was one of the presents that DD gave to me for Christmas ? ...a 'butterfly house'...to hang in the garden, and fill with honey or jam to attract the butterflies. DD said she felt a cold shiver when she heard me being told this, she had already bought and wrapped the darned thing up !!
I questioned DD and Gdaughter VERY closely about how they might have let slip any personal details about me, my nickname, and peoples names who came up that meant something to me....both absolutely were sure they'd not said anything that could have been overheard, stored and used later...so.... I don't know.
We are being rocked by almighty winds and lashing rain tonight, everything seems to be shaking and rattling. A months rain is forecast for the next 3 days and nights. I have been trying all week to get myself off to the sales, by the time I get there there won't be any sales left !! The appalling weather, and the record shopping crowds reported on TV have stopped me. Well, not altogether!! I have 'done' the sales online , saving myself cash on things I didn't really need ! I have been mainly stocking up on decent bedding (always heavy to carry home) and another good goose feather and down duvet . The way the weather is going I shall be putting that on top of my existing bedding for extra warmth, as soon as it is delivered.
Gdaughters 2nd scan this next week, and hopefully I shall know the sex of my GGchild. All the new babies reported on this site, and all the baby talk over the holiday is giving me something good to look forward to. ( GDs baby due approx May 26th)
Isabella.
