Olympia is 90 miles from me.  I don't remember how much further Seatac is but while I am pretty sure I can get a ride there I doubt I could make it to Seatac.

Chabba you must live further South then? I see.   I am not from out here so I don;t know the geography well at all.

I hope we can all figure out something.

There you ARE!!!!!!!!!!! You guys look SO happy and beautiful together, just like it's meant to be!!! Cheers to you two, too!!!!

Chabba, I had to have my DH drive me to a small bco luncheon when I first had my pacemaker put in. He toodled around the area while I dined in fine fashion. No guilt on my part at all!

Ginger, I'm due West of Olympia almost as far as you can go, in Ocean Shores but not on the beach.  If we should decide to meet further north I'll try to get a ride from Oly.  We do have quite a few Sisters in OR who might want to come.  If that happens Oly would be a halfway point.

Wow, I have a friend in Vancouver.  You live out in vampire country don't you. ;)

I wonder if we could do an over night get together. That could make the travel less painful for everyone.

I was going to offer to drive you but that wouldn't make much sense would it? Some day we are going to go out to the coast. I have only gone up to WHidbey and out to one of the SanJuans one time.

I have to admit I'm prejudiced but I think we could have a great week end in Ocean Shores.  lol

Yeah, think I see an elbow on the left, so Chrissy, you have great hiding skills!  I love the picture of you two.  It looks like you're having such a good time with each other!  Thanks for posting the pictures, Alyson!  Keep them coming.

AJ can't wait for you to be here!!

Ali and Cunny left a couple of hours ago.........boohoo!.......I just loved having them here and just wish it could have been longer! We sure had a lot of fun and dinner last night was great!! We went out to a little hotel about ten kms from my house where they serve a really good restaurant quality meal. We all felt very replete when we left and it wasn't long before both the fellas were in bed. Ali and I sat up drinking tea, checking photos and knitting patterns on the computer and chatting. It was soooo late by the time we went to bed it was very hard to get the eyes to open and the brain in gear enough to function this morning.

Hope you are all having a great day!!

    Love n hugs. Chrissy

Sounds like you had a wonderful time!

Australia and NZ are both places I've always wanted to visit. However, since all our travel funds are earmarked for visits to the U.S. and Canada (that's where our families still live) it's more in the "if I win the lottery" category. And not likely to happen since I never buy lottery tickets.

Chrissy, I LOVE the look of your home!! Is there a history here or is your whole neighbourhood made up of sweet stone cottages??

Leah, I'm using lottery tickets as my retirement fund..and I don't buy them either!! YIKES!!! Where are you coming in Canada? I'm in Ontario...hint, hint, hint....

Barbe, our family is in Toronto. How far is Aliston from there?

Don't know when my next trip is but I'll let you know.

Leah - a lot of us are in, or within driving distance of Toronto. If you ever get there, give us some notice and a lunch or some such thing could be set up.

Chrissy - so glad you had a good visit with Alyson. I am coming soon!

Leah - I have a lot of thing in the "if I win the lottery" category too. And I never buy the tickets either. My DH says "when he wins the Publisher's Clearing House Sweepstakes" and he never enters that either!

Just got the results of my latest CT scan and lab work and everything is great! Lung nodules are GONE!! Liver has only one small lesion left and the liver function came back normal. Some of the bone mets are actually healing and there is nothing new anywhere that is showing up so I am officially stable!!!!!! All of my lab work came back normal, even my iron levels!!! Aredia treatment is about done so I will be back this evening.

    Joy and blessings, AJ

AJ that news brings joy to my heart!!! Roll on April!!

Barbe there is so much history here that my whole town is heritage listed! My cottage was built in three sections........the first two rooms when the butchers son married, the next three rooms which are now my bathroom, kitchen/dinning room when the family outgrew what was here and the final two rooms around the 1890's. it was started around 1870ish.

I would love to do a whole lot more traveling but I, like the rest of you would need some winnings to do it. Again like you, I rarely by a ticket.

    Have a good day all!!

    Love n hugs. Chrissy

When I am an old woman I shall wear purple With a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me. And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter. I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells And run my stick along the public railings And make up for the sobriety of my youth. I shall go out in my slippers in the rain And pick the flowers in other peoples' gardens And learn to spit. You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat And eat three pounds of sausages at a go Or only bread and pickles for a week And hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes. But now we must have clothes that keep us dry And pay our rent and not swear in the street And set a good example for the children. We must have friends to dinner and read the papers. But maybe I ought to practice a little now? So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple. ~ Jenny Joseph Art by Inge Look, via ingelook.com -Too cute had to share.

Hi all! I too am in the NW. I would love to meet up. I won't be available until early next year since I am having another small surgery. I still work, so a lunch, weekend or planning ahead would work best for me. I am open to meeting anywhere. I haven't posted, but I have loved lurking around. I have read so many inspiring stories and found so many answers to questions and worries. Thanks to you all!!!!
