Thought this might be needed here as well as on another thread.
Anyone been shopping?
-
Went to Lowes today to look for a new washing machine and dryer. The salesman was actually trying to talk me out of buying them. I dont know what his problem was, but it worked and I didnt buy....
-
funny, I went to a car dealer years ago to replace my beloved Saab, the sales guy talked me out of it also...and he was a pal of one of the guys I worked with
then again, Saabs were never the most practical of cars. good in the snow and a great trunk! but expensive to repair!
-
Love the coffee!
No shopping. Too many wacky people around here. Online shopping works. -
Justy saying that the hen house is rather down in the dumps. Lowrider, one of the original occupants has gone. You tried so hard to find the Cure Guy, Low.
Sent an escort for you final ride.
-
Alyson, She'll love the escort. She was one of a kind.
-
Did not know her, but what a wonderful send off from those of you who did...
-
This has nothing to do with anything, just thought it was cute.

I have the stressed kitty cat on a tee shirt. I usually wear it under my Grumpy sweat shirt.
-
Hey Purple,
If you're using Internet Explorer, when you right-click on the image, and get a menu, choose "properties" and the next screen will have the URL of the individual picture. You can select the text and copy it from there.
... My mom (who lives with us) and my son have both been on antibiotics TWICE in the past month... it cramps my funnybone... Everybody needs me at the same time, and nobody wants to wait.
On the interesting side, though, 3 dogs and two rabbits weren't enough. My son now has a pet corn snake. He named "it" Steve. We have it hidden from Grandma - she would be TOTALLY creeped out if she knew there was a snake in the house!
-
I've been staying up WAY too late at night... when the house gets quiet... but if I'm up late enough I start to get hungry again... This describes me:
And yes, I always hate myself in the morning, LOL.

I use Binney4's cure for anything - Chocolate - Dark chocolate!!! and the smoking asparagus
Or you can just go for the chocolate!!!

SillyMomma - that brought back memories of long ago. I had a pet snake in high school and my mother was terrified of him. He lived in a terrarium in my room. One very hot night, he escaped and somehow found his way to the bathroom. He coiled around the base of the toilet. Mom got up in the middle of the night to pee, and my DP (dear pet) decided to get "friendly" and caressed her legs. The screams not only woke my dad, brothers, sister - but also the next door neighbors!
My DP was returned to the "wild" the next day. And I got a kitten. -
LOL, scuttlers! Wow, that's the long way around to get your parents to let you get a kitten! I have to admit that Steve the snake is more interesting to own than I thought he would be... and I don't have to worry about the Westies hunting him - we had a sad experience with them and the litter of baby bunnies last summer.
-
I am also terrified of snakes. Several years ago we had a problem with mice in the house so I got some sticky traps to catch mice. The day I put them out I caught 2 mice in the matter of a few minutes so I decided to leave the trap out a while longer. Went back a few minutes later and did a double take. A baby snake (copperhead )was coiled up and stuck on this sticky trap along with the 2 mice. Needless to say I got rid of the trap really fast. Never did figure out how the snake got into the house but I dont keep sticky traps with mice in them around for long either.
-
THANKS!!!!!!
-
I don't know Mary - I think I would rather have a snake stuck on a trap than to wonder how many others are in the house ... I would have just put out more traps and called them snake traps ...
-
I don't like snakes either. There was always plenty of snakes at my parents house coiled up on the porch or stretched out sunning themselves. There were plenty of black snakes, copper heads and rattlesnakes.
-
Thank God the trap was in a bathroom that we never used. I just closed the bathroom door and didnt go back in there for years. Out of site out of mind. We have alot of outside pets now and I think that keeps the snakes away from the house pretty well.
-
I've never been afraid of snakes, but that's only because where I live (Western Washington) there are no poisonous snakes. When I'm in other locales, if I see a snake I run the other way!!!
One time we were camping in California, and I was floating in this wonderful pool in the river. I felt something kinda tickle my tummy and realized that a snake had found my body to be a really nice warm pool for himself. I flung myself screaming onto shore.... I have no idea what kind of snake it was - but I probably scared it just about as much as it scared me.
