I have a fear of snakes that goes back to when I was about three. Mom had dressed me up in one of those dresses with a sash that tied in back. The sash was tied tightly with a double knot. We were at a Laidies Aid meeting and I had gone outside to play with my cousins kids who were boys 5 or 6 yrs older. They decided to put a bunch of garter snakes down my neck and of course the snakes got stuck at my waist and just wiggled around trying to get away. I ran into the house crying for help and when one of them intied the sash and the snakes fell on the floor, the ladies all started screaming and jumped up on the furniture. That scared me even more.

Last night my sister and I were sitting in the den and I said to her, "I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and fluids from a bottle to keep me alive. That would be no quality of life at all, If that ever happens, just pull the plug."

So she got up, unplugged the computer, and threw out my wine.
