Anyone watching Season 10 of American Idol?

I just don't want to see any of them go!

I totally agree that tomorrow will be a nail biter. James is amazing and I think he has the vote and will stay. I think the same goes for Scotty. I think tomorrow night it will be a girl who goes home. I love Lauren, but, I think it is her turn, she has shown how young she is at times. She is lacking confidence, even though she is a wonderful and talented singer who will go very far. I also love Haley, I thought her second song was amazing. I don't think she'll win it, but I think she deserves to stay another week. But that's what makes this hard at this point of the game, they all deserve to stay another week!
Seaside, every year my husband says " Nooooooooo!!! I can't watch this crap another year!!" But he always sits right next to me looking forward to it and weighs in on what he thinks, lol! I think he protests just so he can look tough:) He has a meeting tomorrow night and I know the first question he will ask when he gets home is " who was voted off." Love him!
*edited for typos, did I get them all?

Good night till we meet tomorrow evening... West Coast enjoy the show

Good Night
-
Sheila- I want to be there!

Good night!

Laurie, I, too always read this thread, but don't post that much

While I can agree that Scotty is very composed, and seems comfortable and natural performing, I just don't like country music.
I always have been a fan of Haley. What I like about her, too, is that she doesn't kiss the judges asses and apologize when they don't like her song choice, performance, etc. She seems to do better when they criticize her!
I really like Lauren and James, too.

I'm guessing Haley and Lauren in the bottom two, mainly because of history. I think they're both outstanding.
I've liked Haley from the start but I did agree with the judges that 1. her 1st song pick wasn't very good (great song, but not well known at all), and 2. she didn't even try for the notes at the end. I'm glad she redeemed herself (yet again!) with a great 2nd song.
Scotty was just OK to me, reminded me of a politician trying to get votes; James rocked the first song but I wasn't as taken with the second; and I loved Lauren's stepping out of her safety area and doing something bluesy in her second song -- and nailing it.
I'm concerned about Lauren going on -- I think she's really great, very cute, and has really grown each week, but to me her immaturity is a concern -- and last night when she kept saying to GaGa "I don't want to sing the word "evil" because I don't want people to think *I'm* evil" -- wow. Huge red flag. That spoke to just how naive and immature she is. Does she *really* think people would think she was talking about herself in the song? That's like saying people will believe (for example) that James ran out and drank love potion #9 because that's what he said he did in his song... it was a very strange thing to say about the words in her song. Don't get me wrong, I really like her. I just think she's not ready to handle the music world right now and will be forced to grow up too fast if she plunges into it, no matter how much her parents may try to support her.
I'll watch the end tonight to see who leaves but probably won't watch the rest of the show

Still love Scotty.............this kid can sing anything well, but love his country..........Other the Underwood, i don't recall any other "country singer" going through to be American Idol.........Everyone does not like country....I told my daughter last night "Scotty could sing the Phone Book and sound good".........
Haley uses that raspy voice while she screams too much...after a while it gets old, and annoying...honestly, I don't believe in kissing the judges asses, but she was a little snitty last night when the corrected her.............not a good idea to harrass the judges....I think she is gone tonight, actually I hope she goesl
James is very good and very versatile, but is still a little screammy.
Lauren is excellent, very good, but "country again", and read what I said above...........she is younger and that could hurt her,,,,,,,,but that child has talent, and someone in "country" will grab her, and also Scotty.........they are fantastic singers.

Ok, I have to admit I feel like I was watching a different show than everyone else, especially Randy Jackson - James' version of Don't Stop Believin' was a pitchy scream fest IMHO. I'm a classic rock fan and was insulted by Randy's praises - I think I must have missed something.
Funny thing is my favorite this year sings a genre that I don't like (but unfortunately have to listen to all the time since it's my hubby's fav) - I could listen to Scotty sing all the time, especially when he sings in the low/deep range.
I have to say I think Haley will be going home tonight - but I think Randy was cruel to her last night when he singled her out saying everyone else was good. It may be true but he really could have used more tact!
-
reesie - I have to agree with you. James' version of "Don't Stop Believing" hardly deserved such praise from Randy, but I think the judges are told who to praise and who to criticize. Odd to me, too, that one of my favorites is Scotty, because I'm not a fan of country music, either. Even though Randy Travis is my cousin, I just never got into country music, probably because he was raised in the country in NC, where my grandmother was and I was raised in the city. But Scotty reminds me of him - I'm sure Randy's watching him, will probably help him along. I just think the kid has genuine talent.
I'm beginning to think the AI producers are wanting James to win because his "style" reminds them of Adam Lambert, and they took a lot of flack when he didn't win - maybe they're hoping to placate some of Adam's fans. But poor James - if he's the winner, he'll be lucky to sell a couple of hundred thousand albums. He can't rock a song like Chris Daughtry can, and Daughtry was lucky to be kicked off at this point. Lee Dewyze only sold 133,000 with his debut album - even Crystal Bowersox only sold 184,000 with the same "winner's" record label. Hopefully, this year will be different since they will be on Jimmy Iovine's label. But historically, I think only about 3 AI winners have really made it big.
Lauren's problem with "Trouble" shows me that she didn't have much choice in her song choice. She wouldn't have picked something that bothered her so much. And having to sing, "I'm evil, I'm evil, I'm evil, I'm evil, I'm evil" over and over would bother anyone, young or old, if it doesn't fit their image.
I think the lucky ones are the ones who get kicked off any time after the Top 10. They've got some fame by then, and are not restricted to the AI producers' concept for their singing careers.
I think all of them are very talented and whatever happens, they will all find success with a singing career.
-
I thought James wasn't as great as usual, but good enough to stay.
Loved Scotty's first song.
Loved both of Haley's songs.
Thought Lauren did better than ever but it might be too late. She does have the American sweetheart/cheerleader look and a great voice....but needs time to put it all together.
I think Haley or Lauren will be going home tonight.
-
Really enjoyed last nights episode -- Lady Ga Ga and Scotty's time together -- made me smile, due to the circumstances of their differences.
Bottom 2 -- Lauren and Haley ..
Just my opinion. ..
I almost feel like AI has turned into a infomercial for new songs for JLo and book sales for Steven Tyler -- I guess we all have to have more than 1 avenue to promote our business ventures ..

I think Haley feels the judges want her gone. Bye-bye.
