THE 3RD TA TAS SISTERHOOD REUNION IN VEGAS BABY!

Hello all,
Is there any recommended attire for what appears to be the big piano bar invasion?
I have my pink Energizer bunny ears from the Susan G Komen Walk that I did last month in Downtown St. Louis. Plus the pink survivor shirt from that event as well. I was thinking of bringing both of those.
I also remember reading many pages back about a "Save the Tatas" shirt with sparkles that most seem to have and wear. www.alala.info was the website, t-shirt on last page I believe.
Just trying to make sure that I am prepared! I for one can't be in the sun, so no pool time for me. Not much of a shopper - my DH just loves that about me
! Don't drink - my body just does not handle alcohol anymore after the Chemo. Gee, I sound like a party pooper! But, being as we will be in Vegas - I love to gamble!
My name up top shows I am staying else where. I am actually staying at the Mirage - just haven't booked the room yet.
Gee, I wonder if it will be hotter in Las Vegas than it is in St. Louis today. We are expecting about 100 degrees and incredibly humid. Yuck!
-
my560sel - sorry for your loss. Cats ( and dogs too) are really like members of the family aren't they? We tend to live our lives around them as they rely on us to take care of them. Again, very sorry for your loss.
-
Terri,
I am so very sorry for your loss of "Pappy" I've been a fur-baby lover for many year & know how you feel. MY 17 year old Beloved kitty REA' was a year ago April. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. My 18 year old Max is still here & just loving every minute we have him. I love the "RAINBOW BRIDGE" poem....when you get the chance, look it up...it's abit to long for me to type it up here, but it does help alot!!
We have 2 other kitties-Aurora(daughter) got 6 toed Rico & I got Katae' along with Max-we've got 3 purring fur-babies along with our dog Sparkles & then 2 fish, Shorty & Angel--were all about the family of unconditional LOVE!!
Sending your healing Prayers (((HUGS))) Susie

Terri -- aw so sorry about your loss. Cats, dogs, pets -- they are such sweet things! My dog is getting old and it is heartbreaking too. I feel your pain!
StLous -- Yeah many will wear a "Viva Las Tatas" t-shirt... or a "Save the Tatas" t-shirt if you can't get a hold of a "Viva Las Tatas" shirt. Actually, if you just want to wear a plain, black t-shirt that's fine too (or wear anything)! It's Vegas! No worries about drinking or not... it's about being together and celebrating ourselves... that's what matters. That alala site I'm not sure about though... you can check out savethetatas.com... they have discontinued the "Viva Las Tatas" logo but I think they have some other cute ones -- like "Princess Tatas" -- I think as long as it is a t-shirt celebrating the tatas it's good (if you want to join in and wear such

Here are some links to specific t-shirts -- you can get the gist from the name of the link -- enjoy

These are the ones that stood out to me, anyway. As long as you have a black t-shirt with a tata or survivor related message on it, it's good!
-
Good morning...chiming in on the t-shirts. I tried to order the Viva TaTa t-shirt from alala. They have been discontinued!
Lilah - thanks for all the websites. I will find a t-shirt I like!
Terri - so sorry for your loss. We lost our 13 year old Maltese a few years ago. He was a member of the family and our whole family was devastated.
Looking forward to Vegas! Happy 4th everyone.
Jane

Thank you all so much for your kind words. I appreciate your kindness and it brings me comfort. Each day is getting a bit easier but I still have a big empty space inside me that hurts. I see her everywhere. Many thanks again, you truly are sisters......
Love,
Terri

Alala website is active and has the shirts.
I just ordered mine.
website is www.alala.info It is not a dot com website.
I have added the link above. When you click on it, go to the drop down for shopping. then click on the Save the tatas link category, go to page 2 and there it is.
they actually have two pages on Save the Tatas stuff.
I ordered the save the ta-tas Bling tee on the second page.
-
Oh cool -- thanks Stlcardsfan!
Yes the "Viva Las Tatas" bling shirt is discontinued but you can get, as StLous did, a "Save the Tatas" bling shirt at either www.alala.info OR from www.savethetatas.com (see my link above for the one that is a "bling" shirt).

Looking forward to Vegas and am excited to see everyone and to meet more sisters. My results are in the cancer has spread. I see my Dr on the 12th instead of the 18th. Then I will find out exactly where it has spread to and what the new plan is. They told me if they have a cancellation on Monday then they would like to see me then. You know when the Dr calls you in before your appt is not good.
I am frustrated and I saw my counselor on Wednesday and she helped me and I am going to see her once a week for awhile. My friend Tracy who will be joining us on the trip we are going to the wellness center so that she is able to deal with her best friend being sick. It is not easy for those around me doing there best to be strong for me. They are all surprised I have broke down cause I have been strong and just have not done that through this battle.
I also went to healing prayer on Wednesday and believe I will continue to attend that as will. I do see my naturopath the end of this month and hopefully will be starting my Vitamin C infusion. High doses. I am taking a lot of supplements. I have change my way of eating and have done very well. You need to take care of you. Making better choices. My little Aubrey is my inspiration and cure to this damn disease.
Many blessings my sisters
