THE 3RD TA TAS SISTERHOOD REUNION IN VEGAS BABY!

Susie, I am so EXCITED that you are now able to go to Vegas this year! Even if I can't go, I'm really thrilled that it worked out for you. Of course I hope I can work it out to go and spend some time with you!
Laura, good comment about there being so many of us and not enough spaces to hang together. I think some pool time is in order this year. Can you imagine 60 of us taking over the Mirage pool? LOL
-
PS: I am working on an icebreaker activity for the Friday night Meet & Greet. If you are going to Vegas, please PM me one interesting fact about you, in 6 words or less. Not your biggest secret ever, but maybe a hobby or something you've done.
Thanks for the help!
-
I just called and the Mirage and gave them our group number so they will put me in a room by everyone else.. That was easy!
-
Nice Jen!
-
Just booked the room. Thanks for the heads-up Lilah on the other thread.
-
You're welcome Gilly!
-
hey there sweeties, I wish I could go...my anniversary weekend.
since you guys all fly, what's the deal with implants, radiation from scanners, private pat downs, etc.?
First time I've flown since this whole thing. Keep hearing alot about radiation, etc., from the scatter technology, and that I should do a private pat down?
thanks, guys.

two weeks ago I flew St Louis to Kansas City. Kansas City to Las Vegas. Las Vegas to San Diego. San Diego to St. Louis. All but one leg I went thru the regular metal detector machine and had no issues. On one leg, (Kansas City) I was randomly selected to go thru the Body Scan. They then did an additional pat down on my front area and I was released. It was not a big deal. I have had bmx with reconstruction and exchange. Plus I was wearing an underwire bra. My guess is the implants and underwire were the suspicious areas. They offered a private room for the pat down and I refused. Honestly it was no big deal.

Okay, it's official...I Am Going To Vegas!!!!!
-
Wahooooooooo Journey!!!
-
anniealso - nope no wand, just the back of the hand pat down. It followed the underwire, and since that area is numb, I really didn't feel it either!
-
Journey - Hi roomie! Can't wait to meet you!
Juli
-
Thanks for taking me in Juli! It's going to be a blast!
-
Hi all, I just wanted to let you know that I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in Vegas! I finished my semester in early May and then went to Italy and France with my husband for a nice get away vacation. I made it through all of the security gates except for one in Paris, where I was given an unbelievably thorough pat down. Generally, it was not a problem.
Thanks to our organizers! I will try to keep up with this thread a little better now that it is summertime.

Hi Everyone,
It is with a heavy heart that I am sending you this post. My girlfriend Sandy passed away this morning. She had Breast Cancer and it metastasized to the lungs and liver. I am happy she will not have to suffer or be in pain any longer. However, I will miss her very much. Please keep her husband in your prayers, he is going through a very rough time.
I hope everyone is doing well. Have a nice evening.
Hugs, Cheryl
-

Just a reminder ladies....Only 111 more days to vegas...Wahooooooo! Can't wait to see you all again..
-
JKZ, Thanx for filling in for me on the countdown ((HUGS))
OOPS LOL LOL Been abit outta sorts lately, still can't stand straight yet. They removed the 59 staples a week ago & the scar is healing, but still some ruff nites with pain not quite under control, Hard to believe there was 6lbs & 4 ounces of scar tissue, then the upper part is still swollen & some of it he wasn't able to remove due to the damage from when I had a bag there..so left side is still abit bigger, but......no more infections to deal with in that aera....YEAH!!!!!!
Power Prayers continue to all of you still going thru your surgeries & recovering from them!! What better reason to grab ahold of than our 3rd reunion to see each other to help us heal all the more faster!! So as PINK (the singer sings) "RAISE YOUR GLASS UP IN THE AIR" Cheers
Take care Chow GOD BLESS
((HUGS)) XOXO Susie
-
