Any thoughts about the schedule/itinerary for this year's reunion ladies? Will we do a meet and greet on Friday night and Piano Bar on Saturday night like last year? Wondering because it would be nice to know what time periods are free so a girl can schedule other activities

Went to see the Dr today. The cancer has spread more throughout my bones and is now in my liver. I start chemo tomorrow and will be on Taxotere/Carboplatin. I was on these before and I had SE's really bad. I hope this time around I will not. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.
-
Elizabeth, Sorry to hear the news but hopeful for you that you will sail through this time. You are in my thoughts and I'm sending healing light your way.

Elizabeth you have my sincere sympathies for this sucky news and also prayers for an easier time with the TX this time around as well as eradication of the beast! Hope your doctor can give you some help with the SEs (with drugs to help ease them -- adjusted based on the last time through).
-
Dear sweet Elizabeth...you know that we Phoenix girls are here for you. I have been so emotional today after hearing your news. I hate that you have to keep going through this agony. Please, please, please...let us help in any way that we can. We love you!!
-
Elizabeth Please feel our love...praying praying and praying more for you girl!!! Sending you tons of hugs!
-
Elizabeth - thoughts and prayers coming your way from NC.
-
Thank you so much for the encouraging thoughts and prayers that are so wonderful. It feels good to have somewhere to go. I got the PET scan report.
Bones: lower back vertabre, neck, right humorous, all along the femur right side, right side of the pelvis, nodes and glands.
Liver: multi lesions in half of my liver of the soft tissue
Not at all what I wanted to read about myself. Started chemo today. Tummy is upset but has been for the last 4 weeks and my Dr said that is from the liver. Took nausea meds and now am on freak'in steriods. I pray I do not gain weight from this.
-
((((Elizabeth)))) If it helps...my mom had liver mets (both halves filled with tumors), did Taxotere, suffered like crazy from SE's, but the mets disappeared! And are still gone 10-years later. She'll be 89 in October and is going strong. So keep the faith!

Ladies.....
I am sure Tracey and Gisella are hard at work planning things.... behind the scenes. In the past..... by the end of July.... Itineraries start showing up...:).....
For new gals:
Friday night will consist of some type of meet and greet... and maybe a bar/dance thing after.
Saturday usually starts around 10am for a breakfast for us all... together ( really cool).... then after.... we are free to roam... hook up with other sisters... shop.... tour... whatever.... and we all seem to pick what we are doing together at our morning breakfast/brunch..... Then Saturday night has been the Piano bar in the past.... we kinda rent one half side...LOL..... and we sing...dance.... and just let our hair down..
Sunday..... usually just did whatever we wanted in the AM... and then all Met at the Bellagio for a wonderful Champagne Lunch/Dinner... it is your Lunch and Dinner it is SO MUCH FOOD... and all the champagne you want ( if you drink.. if not.... your meal is like 5 $ cheaper)... we spend like 3 hours there... eating... talking... and laughing... taking pictures... giving toasts.... you name it....... OH YEAH....... And you can watch me eat my WEIGHT in CRAB LEGS! !
Sunday night is kinda free.... some of the girls this year are going to The Elton John gig.... some might choose to go downtown to hang.... Some might just hit casinos and gamble the night away... but us all being together at the Bellagio before hand... everyone knows who is going where....... it is like we just latch on to eachother.... without leaving anyone out.
THEN
Sunday night we all meet for a " good by drink and laughs and last minute pictures and hugs and tears....." at the top of the Mirage.... that patio up there..... very nice place.... at 11. I think we all were there from 11-1am the last two years....
Anyway... for you new ladies.... this gives you some idea of what we seem to do and it has worked so beautifully over the past two reunions.... THANKS TO TRACEY AND GISELLA and anyone else who has helped... ( Laura helped last year getting our bar/band thing worked out GREAT Friday night after the Meet and Greet..... and Stephanie was the one the first year, I believe, that set up the idea of the Bellagio,..)
Either way..... it has been smooth and very wonderful.
I will put together another Lamented Card with EVERYONES CELL NUMBER ON IT., I will pass these out to each of you at the Friday meet and Greet. This way... NO ONE GETS LOST... and you are always 100% connected to the TATA's ( us..lol)
So.... if I do not have your Cell number...... send it to me. I will need your first name... and cell number.
OK...... I hope my LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGg post helped some of your new ladies get a feel of what our trip is like...... it really does go smooth... and FUN!
Itenerary will be showing up before you know it... and this thread will be getting BUSY....:).... now.... summer is still in swing....so.... hang tight.... and you just do your part.... get your hotel room.... CHECK.... get your plane tickets...CHECK..... and be ready to have a GREAT TIME!
Laura
