    Joan - LOL!  Yes, my hat and gloves just so happen to be along side my flip flops and capris.  I moved down here to I wouldn't have to shovel snow or freeze my ass off.

    Fire - I know how much you hate the summer and you also know this California girl loves her summers.  I hate to be cold. Grrr!!

    Keep that fire going ladies.

    Jo. I'm with you..............Imagine, she doesn't mind being a Firecracker, hot, hot, hot............but she hates summer..............Now she can't have it both ways.............

    Give me the summer anyday......beach, pool, nice cold drinks...and hey, you can always go inside to the A/C when it gets too hot......

    I am so tired, of snow, wind, ice, heating bills, and feel like I'm' living in a friggin Igloo.......

    And there is no end in sight..........went on the corner tonight to sell my ass to pay the utility bill, a guy pulled over, and threw some money out the car window..........guess he isn't into 78 year old broads....

    Hurry summer.............sorry Fire,

    LOL Ducky, you're gonna have to get those sidewalk clothes back on....I heard today the price of propane rose over a dollar a gallon...demand is up and we export a lot.  So, do you think the other fuels will follow?  Seriously, I don't know how some families can keep warm. 
    Something needs to burn here...don't want to throw fuel on the fire  we need all we have...but somebody's making money on this and people will freeze or go broke.

    Joan my daughter has propane heat at her house.......no gas in that area...crazy huh, but there was a lot of "rock" in the area where they built the houses years ago, and they could only blast so much out.........have not asked her what it is costing her...........I have natural gas, but I am sure that will go up too......my heat has not stopped running......and I mean not stopped............I have these massive icicles hanging from my gutters even though my gutters have "heat tape" in them................my water line inside the house has heat tape wrapped around it to keep the water line from freezing...............this is very abnormal for our area.........and it is going to continue all next week.......

    II will make sure I am sitting when I open the gas and electric bill............LOL

    Joan, so true, there's always someone making money by exploiting the poor, the ignorant, and the trusting.  They manipulate the energy market, the housing market, the stock market etc, and don't get me started on defrauding old people.  "But he was such a NICE young man."  They can all burn.

    FireK, be careful on that broom, Polar Vortex II is coming and the winds are swift and sharp.

    Badger...........she landed already......picked me up, and we are flying toward the fire............she really knows how to handle a broom............I would toss this lousy snowy, cold weather in the fire, but it would only put out the flame, and no way we can douse the flame.......to many things to burn..........

    In Pa. we just go a 9 cent tax increase on gas at the pump, which is in addition to the tax already on the gas..........highest in the nation......N.J. is 20-25 cents cheaper, and they pump it for you...........

    Oh yea, someone is getting rich...........we will toss them in............

    Ducky, may you both be safe then!

    This is a magical fire and nothing will put it out.  The heat will turn all that snow into steam.  Maybe we can build a sauna.

    BTW, I tried an experiment during Polar Vortex I - tossed a cup of boiling hot water into the air and it vaporized before it hit the ground.  Cool or should I say COLD yikes.  By Monday, we're supposed to have wind chills of minus 50.  Holy chit!  Fire will feel so good ...

    Badger...........WOW, and double WOW...........that is cool...(no pun intended)......saw that on the news last week too........

    --50........OMG.........that is horrible.......my grandsons are both in Chicago, and they said it is brutal there, and eventually Philly gets the Chicago weather.........

    I am just so tired of it all......I would just appreciate being able to get my car door open........clean road are not helping me.........LOL.......I can't get in my car.............

    Gotta keep the fire burning...........

    Veggy........today Firecracker......(your very special friend) goes to see your husband........she has a surprise for him, from us..........she is a kind and loving person, (as you well know), and she will be there for him.........

    She misses you dearly, but she is coming around....she is back on most of the threads where you would want her to be, and bringing her funny, and witty sense of humor to all of us.......the ladies are thrilled to see her again, and she is doing this for you, because this is what you would have wanted.....we all miss you, but know your in a happy place, free of pain, and watching down on all of us..........

    I named her right....she will always be The Firecracker......hugs Veggy from all of us...

    Good morning, ladies..... glad the fire is still going strong.  If FK will swing down to GA and pick me up, I will gladly help heave whatever is left onto the fire!  After we all warm up and make sure that everything that needs burning is toast, I think we need to head south to a nice warm island.... not hot enough to create LE problems, but just right for walks on the beach and the occasional dip in the sea.  Comfy lounge chairs under the umbrellas (our winter white skin can't handle too much sun!!), and yummy tropical drinks with little umbrellas.  And of course the bartenders are all easy on the eyes!  We'll try to stay out of trouble when the band starts to play after dinner, but no guarantees on that!!!  And it will be warm.... we won't even need to pack a sweater, unless the indoor AC is too cold.  I would love to feel some warm sand between my toes right now, and forget about all of those things we all have to deal with every day here.  If we need to we'll start a beach bonfire... Stay warm and start packing for the next big adventure!!!  (((hugs)))

    Im goin to see Veggys hubby on Tuesday weather permitting

    I bought a card and i will put all the names of the sistas who held my hand and made this thing possible

    God is watching all of us,we all no that
