Texas wants to secede from the Union. I think we should trade Texas for our debt with Canada.
If Texas wants to go so badly, I think we should let them secede.
Support for secession has a long and rich history in the Lone Star State. According to a 2009 poll, 48 percent of Texas Republicans agreed that the state "would be better off as an independent nation." That came after GOP Governor Rick Perry told reporters at a tea party in Austin that if the federal government didn't change its ways, secession might be an option. And in 2009, a Kerr County resident was arrested for claiming to be a sheriff's deputy for the "Republic of Texas." For more, check out our interactive map on US secession movements.

Thanks, but no thanks. I don't like the way SOME of those people treat their friends. Very hurtful!
-
Ahh .. come on Blue .. you get George W. too! We'll all need passports to get through Texas in the future.
-
I usually change planes at DFW on my way to California. I'll just do the Chicago route instead.
-
No thanks to Texas - they think their territory is big; their character is based on being big and they would be grievously disappointed to be smaller in comparison here. Also they couldn't bring their guns.
-
Nawwwwww.
-
How about this -
Texas, Arizona and New Mexico become their own country: Texazonico.
California, Oregon and Washington become a new province of Canada: Calorington
Louisiana becomes an oil company.
Hawaii switches places with Bermuda.
All fixed!
-
I'm still grouchy we didn't get the Turks & Caicos. Who's the crazy who said no to that? Did it have something to do with free-trade relations I wonder?
-
gracie1 -- they're starting to talk about it again (Turks & Caicos, that is). I think it was the Mulroney gov't that said no to the T&C - no foresight.
Thinking of changing my tagline to STOP TEXAS - or maybe BLAME TEXAS LOL
-
I might change mine to HAGS.
-
I vote NO WAY for Texas not only do I not want their guns I don't want my in-laws (outlaws) up here raiding the healthcare accounts.

Dummies. Too bad we missed out on T & C again and again. Oprah will probably buy it.
-
Gracie - I "googled" dog licking cat ears or something like that. Try it, there are hundreds of articles. Must be common problem
GTO - yes you do owe an apology for referring to a member of my extended family as a "rodent" I know lots of RODENTS and my little sweetie is not like any of them !!
interesting on inflammation - I have had it bad for months !! Dr. even did an MRI and that is what came up. So will try some "Bro"
Have to get in as much as possible here, as I am on 5 posts a day. EVEN some opossum posts were deleted !! But since I have a life I don't care !!!
PEACE

Size is relative
Quebec is 527,079 square miles and 6 other Canadian provinces and 2 territories are bigger than Texas.
Alaska is 656,425 sq mi
Texas is 268,601 sq mi
California 163,707 sq mi -
Size doesn't matter.
-
Erica, when it happens over and over and over again and you get restricted or banned for a time, it does matter. Restrictions on our abilities to do things matter. Even to those of us who have lives.
-
I agree with E. Erica, you should PM the mods and ask why opossum posts were violating the BCO rules. Not fair.
-
If Canada is smart, they won't want all of California. Maybe as far south as San Francisco but no further. SoCal is a MESS!!!!---way too much pollution, overpriced housing, traffic, etc etc. etc. Let it go with Arizona and the rest. Or maybe it can be returned to Mexico?
I vote the new province of Washington, Oregon and NoCal be the Province of Cascadia!

Laura, I know!
-
blue - I KNOW YOU KNOW!
You rascal!
-
oppossums are marsupials.. (in case it hasn't been mentioned).
-
hehe Laura, believe me, if I had hacked that site, there wouldn't be much left of it....so I kinda find that hard to believe. I guess that's why I was banned again?
-
I'll vote no to Texas. Haven't decided about the others yet. What will they bring us as their dowery?
-
Guns and oil refineries. And of course .. George W.
-
We're attacking the possum lovers now? Dear Lord, where does that leave the Kaolas. They ae marsupials too and I LOVE Kaolas!! Hate to say this but then again maybe I don't but you gals and your posts are getting close to be entering alt.coo coo.com. Can you imagine that Medicoocoo (alias Medigurt,Medigal etc.) seems to be the only sane one left on this board? No wonder I haven't been banned yet. Someone has to be here to help fit you all in those "strait" jackets!
I think we are driving the Mods to drink and I don't just mean that red wine Laura was sharing with everyone earlier. They may yearn for the days when we were just talking politics and religion. BTW, how do we know if we are banned. Do we get a nice PM asking us for a donation first and then telling us we are banned if we don't send money?? Just curious since some weird bannings have been occuring. Why would they go after the possums?? We must have some animal hating deleters on here. Too bad we can't lodge one next to the "Report" button to chomp off the fingers of the "fun loving crazies"! Keep up the good work gals. Such interesting, infomational posts must be a delight to all who are brave enough to sneak a peak at us. SAVE THE KAOLAS!!

Hi, Laura, I have been a sugar addict all my life. I remember telling my onc, how much sugar I used, not only in sweets, but in my coffee too, and He was totally appalled. I have in the last 2 years removed sugar from my diet, using only stevia, and my health issues have totally improved, so thanks for the reminder of how bad sugar is for you, once in awhile it is O.K. Hope you had a great day, Kathy
