Hair done - looks great - here's hoping it lasts 6 months again. Sitting around waiting to take Steve to the hospital for his procedure.
-
Good luck with Steve, Suzie.
Blue - Fossil must be twice his original size, no?
-
I'm here late just to say hi. Thought I'd leave a picture myself. I think it is suitable for everyone. Enjoy....
-
Just catching up father a busy "grandson" weekend. Pages and pages to read. Enjoyed all the pictures!
GG, hope your birthday and your birthday dinner was wonderful! -
Thanks Mods
-
Thanks Athena - he only has a colonoscopy every 3 years now - all should be good. He's much more at risk of mets again than anything - kind of like us.
Now waiting for them to call to go and pick him up - I just dumped him at the door. Nice dinner planned to give him his strength back - he was starving and feeling dizzy from lack of food.
-
All clear - now he can eat real food again

-
Yay for boring Suzie!
-
I know what you're saying Athena but I like to keep up to date on lunacy. Besides, apart from a few things (like yesterday's exposition), nothing much bothers me!
Fossil is growing like a weed!

TEXT: Hello there, Ms. Dribble,
I just *had* to come over one last time before you (thank Dog) disappear from the public space, and I see you’re still spreading lies and misinformation.
And hate.
You’re seriously complaining about a teenager having to wear braces? Really, Ms. Dribble? Can you go any lower? Do you know who paid for those braces? The First Family out of their own pocket, NOT the US taxpayers.
So this should *not* make you angry, but it does anyway, because you just don’t like that black man in the White House, or his family.
Regarding Malia’s “spring break” in Mexico – that’s a story from March 2012. You know, a year ago?
Did you know it was also a combined school trip/spring break vacation where the students volunteered at an orphanage and visited archaeological sites?
Do you know who pays for the First Family’s private trips? The First Family does, as they always have, so there’s really nothing there either for you to complain about.
And as for the members of the Secret Service accompanying Malia on that trip – she’s the daughter of the President of the United States of America who receives several death threats a day, aimed towards him AND his family, so it’s quite appropriate that the Secret Service do their job whenever President Obama’s family members travel. That is how it has always been for the First Family, Ms. Dribble, and you know it.
It’s also quite appropriate for the White House to not want information about the exact travel plans of Malia and 12 other children known to the wide public. You know, to minimize the risk of one of those aforementioned death threats being carried out?
So here we are again: You posting hateful lies and propaganda, and me correcting you with the facts. I can honestly say I won’t miss you, and I know the feeling is mutual, but I felt it was the least I could do to come here and bid you goodbye – not “fare well” because I wish you nothing of the kind.
Have fun in your closed little bubble of mindless followers, and enjoy your descent into complete and utter lunacy.
Have an ignorant day. -

Blue - It's Steve that's boring not me - I just went to the hairdresser and drove him to the hospital

-
I know Suzie! Keeping my typing to a minimum this a.m.
-
Suzie - I personally like my husband boring. Congrats on that.
Blue and others - haven't been on the dark side for ages. Too busy. Too many other things to think about - but comments over here made me look. Sad. Also the picture of the beautiful little girl murdered at Newtown is heart wrenching. The fact that Newtown families are being harrassed is beyond sad. We've also had pockets of people who hated and were crazy, what is so terrifying right now is how much those kind of attitudes are influencing public policy.
-
Good morning, all!
I've heard about the kerfuffle on the other side but refuse to read. I don't need to - most of my current opinions were well-researched, argued, vetted, and formed with all of the information I had available at the time. Why would I want to read someone else's emotional blurtings? Facts sway me, but hysteria will not.
I haven't posted much lately but have rejoiced with everyone's good news, and my heart goes out to those who've lost dear family members.
All is well on my end. Pain is my constant companion (I've now named it "Rufus") but I muddle through as best I can. We move to The Farm(!!!) this weekend, at last! Packing is a monstrous Rufus in the butt and I refuse to believe I collected all of the crap I am now packing. Either 1) the crap fairies sprinkled boatloads of crap throughout my house when I wasn't looking, or 2) the crap is breeding, much like the all-female population of Jurassic Park.
Medicare continues to lull me into a false sense of security with its non-issues. I know that one day the shoe will drop, the anvil will fall, and Medicare/IRS agents armed with SAMs and ICBMs will storm my shores. Thank GOD I own an assault-style Nerf water rifle. Gotta protect myself from that crazy fascist government. That I elected. Of my own free will.
Peace, peoples!

Suzie, who knew having a boring husband could be a good thing!
I need to get another keraten treatment myself. Those pesky waves are coming back.Blue, gorgeous and adorable pics!
E, sorry Rufus has reared his ugly red head.
Hopefully the move to your Farm will be a happy distraction. Man, most of those words I've never heard of! Owls sure get a lot of literary attention. -
-
E - "apricity" - nice word. :-) So sorry about Rufus, but Sampson may yet kick him in the rear.
Alexandria - lol!
Blue, great pics this morning. My favorite is the German Shepherd. BTW, who wrote that letter? I was talking about someone else's health (won't miss the electricity overages).
-
Apricity is my favorite new word. Very close to "apricot," another fave.
I used four of those words in a sentence: "I have to pull my monsterful horse's elflocks before my trainer brabbles on about my beef-witted refusal to do so." LOVE IT!

Yorkie -
I think some of our local pigeons WROTE that book!
-
E, no doubt!

Athena, from FB, Mrs. Facts. She's a hoot!
