Blue, gorgeous pics.  Everyone looked beautiful and your Grandson is so cute.

GG, we have our eye on a bungalow in the town where I grew up and still work in.  We have lived on our farm, in the house my dh built, for 35 years. Before that, it was a family business and place to play during my childhood.   It will be very difficult to say goodbye.  Many tears will flow.  There is also much joy and anticipation on starting anew.  We also had to compromise on our price but are still happy with what we are getting.

Chickadee, I left you for last because you are just boring me to tears!!!!!

Yup Sunny.  The shoes were "something blue".  I went crazy looking for the vintage rhinestone clips for them but finally found them on ebay.  She loved them and wore the shoes proudly.  The "something borrowed" was my diamond necklace and earrings!

My dil also wore blue shoes.  It must be 'the thing' now to take pictures of the shoes.  Her photographer did the same thing.

Blue there is nothing to add, lest you wish to count my 'gasps' looking at your photo's.  That is the type of picture I'd expect to see somewhere in an advertisement and I mean that in a fantastic way.

Hugs to Alexandria....the soul always knows.

GG -- how odd in this day and age that there would not be the amenity of t.v. for heaven's sake.  Wow !!!  Don't know why but that seems so unusual to me.  How easy to get spoiled huh !!!!  I think maybe I'd be the one backing out on that one...sigh !!!!  Hope things will go well.

Hope everyone is having some sun today....we have a bit.  In fact, are going to warm nicely....but will pay for it this week-end with rain.

Phew, Chickadee!  The progression is craptacular, of course, but SO glad you have a boring head!

Any plans for rads on that neck node?

Blue - such beautiful wedding photos.  Shiny, happy people.  :-)

GG - It's not possible for a 'Merrikan house to be TV and internet-free!  However will you watch Fox News??

Here's my political question of the day:

I despise the drone attacks, primarily because they're imprecise and lack accountability (by that, I mean face-to-face war - or as close as we can get on the ground nowadays - requires more risk and therefore more thought than war conducted long-distance).  Having said that, I don't know all of the reasons why drone attacks may be a necessary or beneficial part of warfare.

Does anyone have anything to add?  Or can someone point me to some reliable resources?

E, I feel exactly the same way about drones. IMHO the "collateral damage," meaning deaths of innocent men, women and children, is not worth the benefits of drones. But what do I know?

War, itself, is illogical and bereft of benefits.  Over-testosteronated (*new word*) men really need to be removed from power.

Setting aside the fact that wars are immoral, I think it's worth remembering that all wars in the 20th century onwards have included collateral damage.  I'm thinking in particular of WWII and the bombing of London and several German cities (I think Dresden was basically demolished).  Then you all remember the horrendous collateral damage in Viet Nam and the former Yugoslavia.

So the question really is about manned vs unmanned planes, when of course the question should really be about whether it's right to employ either method of killing the "enemy".

    JMHO, of course!

Blue -- fabulous pics.  As Jackie says, looking straight out of a posh magazine advert!

    Lindasa -

With manned planes, there's a human at the controls who: 1) Has put himself at risk; and 2) Can at least see some of the damage.  That's what I meant by accountability.  Drones are no better than ICBMs in my book (excluding extent of damage, of course).

E -- Why not place the "accountability" factor at the hands of the personnel employing (in a sense, "manning") the drones?

And it's a foregone conclusion that if the Commander-in-Chief was a Republican, folks like Rand Paul would be getting up in the Senate and praising the use of dronesFrown.

I think the fact that the U.S. has a far larger military (and weaponry) than the next 10 largest countries (including China and Russia) combined says something about the U.S., in that the use of drones is a relatively minor question.....being used politically against the President.

Again, JMHO.  And, given that I'm just a crazy canuck, perhaps I shouldn't even comment.  EXCEPT that I am also a citizen of the worldFrown.
