Shari, have a restful night. *Hugs*
-
Shari will be thinking of you and praying that all goes well. Sleep well tonight my friend.LUV wonderful news that there is 'no cancer' but, in view of all your problems in the past, I agree with anotherNYCG and get that fibroid out soon as you can because they can grow. Once that's gone you will be so much better.
-
Hello Shari,
Just wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts and hoping all goes well today.
Fond thoughts.
Sylvia xxxx
-
Thinking of you, Shari.
-
Luv - awesome news!!! I'm so happy to hear the all clear! I had a couple uterine fibroids for many years. They started out around 1 cm and were 2.5 cm at the time of my hysterectomy a few months ago. Mine grew very slowly and were benign, but I agree with others. Have them removed just to be on the safe side and for your peace of mind. It's a simple procedure.
Shari - I'll be thinking of you today!
Arlene - I'm sorry to hear you had complications, but glad you're doing okay!
-
LUV - I haven't been on in a few days and was reading 3 pages of posts holding my breath.....PHEWWWWWW, I'm so ecstatic for you to get happy news, and you can now relax a bit ;o)
Shari - know you're not on but praying that all goes well and no complications!! big healing energy thoughts being sent out xoxox
wanted to share (albeit a bit long) our fun video of shaving my head in order to make the kids at ease and a part of it....feel free to fast fwd to better parts, warning this is real life and yes I'm yelling at my kids to "get away from my wine" unedited ;o)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFcmLvX_W1k
love to all!
luv's news makes me feel a bit lighter today ;o)
-
Thamks Ally and Becky! Hoping good news continues for everyone!!
-
Probably a stupid question, but do you have to get antibiotics during and after surgery to take a fibroid out?
-
Luv - I'm pretty sure you'd get antibiotics, especially if they removed it vaginally. Any time I've had a vaginal procedure (IVF, sonohysterography/saline ultrasound, etc.) I've gotten antibiotics.
Surgery is tomorrow at 8 am to find out what this mass is. I've been oddly calm today, but I'm sure the nerves will kick in tomorrow. I really hope I don't have to wait for pathology, and God forbid it's cancer, I hope my BS gets clear margins this first time around. I'm going to ask her to do a SNB in that case as well. BUT, hopefully all this what if planning is unnecessary!

Good Morning!!
-
greenae! Good to see you back online! sorry for the complications but so glad that you are on the mend!
-
Thanks so much, ladies. All went well this morning. My BS is confident it looks like scar tissue, but I should have final pathology Friday or Monday. I'm not as worried as I was and actually feel pretty good about this. I think she would have told me if she was concerned.
-
Ally, I'm so happy your doc feels confident about this! I've been thinking about you all day and am glad you posted! Get some rest. XO
-
Ally, - so happy to read that 'so far so good'! You're on a roll!
-
TNBC love the video. What a positive experience you made it for your kids. Haven't been on here long but hoping you have an easy journey. Maybe you can share and update your plans coming up so I am a little more aware.

Great news Ally and glad you are feeling more confident for a good outcome. Really glad your doctor doesn't seem concerned. Sending hugs.Becky great video. It's so much better when you decide on when you want to lose your hair and not when cancer does. I did the same thing with my girlfriends and we made it into a hair loss party so there were no tears at all but lots of laughter. One of My friends even shaved hers off in support.
-
ARRGH!!! I have a popping/clicking noise and feeling in the breast they biopsied!!! My BS spoke with my PS this morning who thinks my implant might have been damaged during the procedure yesterday. It's either ruptured or there's air trapped between the implant and skin. I'm really hoping for the latter. Stitches come out on the 19th and if the noise is still there they'll do an MRI to look at the implant. I'm annoyed, but to be honest, as long as it's not a recurrence, it won't be the end of the world. I was going to have a revision in about a year anyway, so I guess this would force that to happen a little sooner. Never a dull moment, ladies! On a good note, I have no pain or swelling at all. I feel great.
TNBC - loved your video. You are beautiful! I also tried to make shaving my head a positive experience. I had some friends over for a "buzz bash" and it turned out to be a really great and memorable day.
-
Ally, that's frustrating about the popping/clicking...but you are right. It's a problem that can be fixed if it doesn't go away on it's own. Keeping my fingers crossed for an "unremarkable" pathology report. I hope they get it to you Friday
Greenae, I hope your postop bleeding is completely over and done with and you can be on the mend now. Be gentle with yourself. It takes time to heal.
Shari, thanks for thinking to get your daughter to post here. I'm so glad you made it through surgery and got that darn cancer out!
Luv, that's great that they were finally able to figure out what was causing your pain and it's something that can be corrected.
TNBCinSTL....great video! Love it.
I just had a checkup with my MO this week and my BS last week. Everything is normal. I love normal!! It give me hope. I'm 20 months out from diagnosis and counting each month that passes without problems as a WONDERFUL month.
-
Well, that was fast! My breast surgeon just called me personally and everything is benign!! I had a ton of scar tissue/fat necrosis encapsulating my implant. She cleared it all out and was glad to do it now so it doesn't cause me more worry in the future. She thinks there's air or fluid in the dead space now, which is causing the noise I'm hearing and the sensations. If my body doesn't absorb it by next week, she'll run an MRI to check on the implant. So very relieved. Thank you all so much for supporting me through this.
Green - hope the bleeding is under control. Sending you gentle hugs.
Simple - wonderful news! Normal is awesome! Time to celebrate
-
Alicia....fantastic news! I'm glad it came fast too!
-
YAYYYYY ALLY!!!
-
WooHoo!!!!Simple I'm so happy you got a good checkup!!
Also happy dancing with you Ally!!
Man this is good news from you two. Thank you God!!!
-
Happy Happy DANCE Ally!!!!
