My weight is the same at 218, but I did meet my goal of exercising 3 times this week, Next week I'm adding drinking 500 ml of water per day to exercising for 15 minutes 3 x week.
I don't now if this gets our team any points, but having to check in really helps keep me going!
-
NM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's the spirit!!! Checking in is good.
Meecie. I think we should give a point to anyone who checks in with specs on a Friday.
For sure NM has earned her team at least a point, one for maintenance and how are we gonna sort out the exercise? By minutes??
I offered up 20 minutes goes into the team bank and every 60 minutes together gets a point, but I await your final guidelines.
YEAH for our MaineNative!!!!

Working on points and so far:
Down from the prior week = 2 points
Maintaining from prior week = 1 point
Gaining from prior week for those who need to gain = 2 points
Exercising = 1 point for each 30 minutes of exercise (keep track ladies)
Making the Friday Check-in = 1 point
Meeting daily water intake (yet to be determined) = 1 point per day (keep track)
I am going to be tracking this on a spread sheet so I can go into detail to keep my mind straight, but will post the totals in the teams postings. If I miss something, please PM me and I will get it straight. I think we will keep the teams at 8 members right now, so we need a new team leader volunteer. If you are already on another team, we will fill your space, then fill your new team. Your points will move with you.

Meece - THANK YOU for organizing! This is a lot to follow. I weighed in this morning at 127, but I know I did NOT lose 3 pounds from my original number! I just weighed myself at a different point in the day, so would you mind changing my start weight to 127? Don't want to cheat! And my goal is 15-20 pounds. Thanks.
Faith - LOVE those penguins! No matter how bottom-heavy they are!
Mimi - I'm trying to think of inspirational bird names...
-
Maybe Mumayan can help us find names for our other teams.
Yes, oakley I will change your starting weight, but we'll give you a point for maintaining (Being honest pays)
-
Ha Ha Ha How about Puffins
-
No seriously how about Roadrunners form the team that intends to exercise regularly.
-
Or Hawks for the real serious dieters.
-
All good ideas, Mum. Team leaders?
-
I like roadrunners it sounds right.
If team members agree I take it.
Good Morning
Meece you are like an Energizer Battery you keep going and going..............

-
Good Morning Birdies!!
My official Friday am weigh in is.................179.6!
I used my LE pump last night and wrapped before bed last night soooo who know's how accurate that is but I am sticking to those pretty numbers for now

-
Good morning and welcome to all of our new members. This is terrific! I love being on the Hummingbird team but if you need another team leader Meece, then I'll volunteer.
My weight this morning is down 2 lbs. Hip hip hooray!
-
1 egg+2 egg whites with fruits.
-
YAY! Seyla, I like roadrunners as well. Grab it before someone else! Good morning everyone.
Meece you can put me at 183.6. I exercised 5 days this week for a total of 4 hours; working on my water intake. I also have watched my food intake (thanks to the motivation on this thread), eating lots of veggies and cutting carbs almost totally.
Thanks Meece for coordinating - it's a lot of work for you to keep track of us all.
Moderators: an idea for the future interview is a conference call with a panel discussion maybe? The interviewer can send the panel participants a format beforehand and a phone number given out to everyone who wants to listen in. Thinking now, however, we are all over the globe so the timing may be an issue.
-
Hi,
Yes I'll join and post. I'm 5'6" and 184 this morning. I think being accountable will be good for me! I may not lose too fast, but I will give it a go!
Thanks Meece
-
We are officially ROADRUNNERS.
Thanks for the suggestion MUM.
Weight is 167.4 not much as long as it went down or remained the same Im happy.
-
Meece, please update me to 183.6 and my goal is 20 lbs.
-
WowWOW WOWOWOWOWOWOW
Things are really taking shape!!! (Get it? LOLOL)
We have a new team name, love it: Road Runners! Awesome concept!
o2B has a SIGNIFICANT drop w/all of her LE self-care!! WHOOOHOOOOO!!!!!
And alas, we hummingbirds have lost our Suz to being a capable leader. Suz we'll miss ya, but know that you will add strength to the LAB thru your leadership role!!!
Meece. LOVE the point system & no doubt it will take a spread sheet to chart accurately, we'll all help.
Question: To make Meecie's life easier, shall we all turn in our exercise/water drinking week totals on Fridays along with our weights?
Meecie will figure out just how many categories each person needs to address in their Fri check in. That will become easier over time, as we sort out just exactly what we're tracking.
WHOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!
Moderators, are you watching this explosion??
-
Once I get the spread sheet complete it will be easy to track everyone. I can print it out then wrtie the updates as I read them, then go to the thread and transfer the info.
-
OMG this thread moves Quick!! I have email notification everytime anyone posts to this thread and I can't keep up. Morning to all the Hummingbirds and head hummer Faithie!
I've started my weigh in this morning and I'm at 127.5
Of course now I'll need help on ideas for breakfast at my desk now. My usual fare are Brown Sugar Cinnamon poptarts, as I don't have time to eat at home in the morning and therefore a quick (non messy) breakfast became poptarts. Suggestions anyone?
I am also committed to drinking more than a bottle of water a day (I usually have a cup of coffee with sweet n low, and fat free creamer & a bottle of water a day; and a glass of water to take meds at night)
That's my update for this morning!
Have a great day all!
-
Meece - I would like to join this thread. I have about seven pounds I want to lose. This morning I weighed 147. I really need some motivation.
-
5 pages in 22 hours, Wow!!! I went back to the start of this year on page 59, and have made notes up through page 63 so I can update the info. I think I will be updating at the end of each page, or at the end of each day, whichever occurs first.
-
Prayrv, how about instant oatmeal at your desk? If you have a hot water dispenser or coffee maker that dispenses hot water, it it easy. You can get plain oatmeal or "lite" ones. Make it in a coffee mug.
One pkt of low sugar oatmeal is 120 calories
One brown sugar Pop-Tart is 210 calories (420 for the package almost 1/3 of most of our daily caloric intake allotment!)
HINT: When manufacturer's put calories per serving on the nutrition facts they make it look good because it usually isn't the whole package. The nutrition info for Pop-Tarts is per Pop-Tart, and yet they package them in sets of two. Always check the serving size! If you really want the item, eat the one serving portion and save the rest.
-
Welcome Don-23. We'll get you on a team real soon. I need to post the updates.
-
Meece,
Thanks for the wonderful suggestion. I'll pick some up this weekend. I just never had the time (or inclination to look for specific foods. I've always had a high metabolism and never had a problem with my weight even after the 3 kiddos. But within the past year and having my hysterectomy and ooph - the pounds are starting to creep up.
Thanks again for the help. Gotta get back to work.
Trish
