Stopping Femara is doing wonders. I could actually have a slice of pizza without putting 2 pounds next day. There is hope Sisters and I'm the proof.

Of course I'm watching my food consume and walking even more.
Have a Good Day all.

Hummingbird checking in:
Friday: 3 pts
weight down: 137.5 (don't remember if it is a new low...): 2 pts
water: 7 pts
exercise: 3 pts (was on the road 2 days in a row)

I'll check in later today but I think some of us need a little boost to help ourselves. SOOOO, I have a "move more" challenge! The challenge - Everyone who does at least one hour of exercise every day this week (starting today through next Thursday) will be entered in the drawing!
Ready, set, go!

LOL on the mixed up motto, Zogo!
Wow on the points, Sheila! Some of you ladies are really doing well!
I, on the other hand, did not have a good week. It was mammogram and ultrasound week plus I had to have a D&C done! Lot's of stress eating and not good at all on the exercise. Hopefully all that stress is behind me and I will do better next week!

deborye, your new avatar looks like something that I will have to resist from an Easter Basket.
badger, thanks for reminding me to clip on a little pedometer I have. I am getting back into my walking routine now that it's warmer.
-
Patoo- giving points back!! LOL! Roadrunner checking in at my usual middle of the night. Once again, overworked, so haven't made it to the gym at all. Didn't get to weigh-in. So 0 pts for weight. 3 pts for "Friday" check-in. 7 points for water - one day I drank more like a gallon; unusual for me. Climbing ladders, hanging art, walking dogs, working on latest sculpture - 6 points for exercise. I'm off this weekend, thank goodness, because I've been stress-eating. Maybe I can get it under control this week and log more than 16 pts. But an hour a day, Suz? Probably not, although I'll try. Don't worry about my avatar - it's for the OMG thread.
-
I think I'll tweak the challange a little bit. Lets say if you do an hour at least 5 of 7 days you'll get in the drawing. And, I didn't say this but the hour doesn't have to be all at once - it can be 10 minutes 6 times a day or 15 min at a time - whatever works to equal an hour. Does that make the challenge more doeable? I hope so.
AND, BTW - my weight was down 1 and a half pound from yesterday (of course) I would have earned another point if I had weighed in today. Darn it.
-
Hey everyone I'm checking in to see how you all are doing. I read every few days. I am trying to psych myself and get back up on the horse so to speak. I decided to be "bad" and take a Tamoxifen vacation for a few weeks and see if I could drop a few pounds. It seemed like I was staying hungry all the time and eating all the time so for the last few days I didn't take the pill and I haven't been hungry, have eaten less. "Don't worry I'm not staying off my med forever I'm just taking a break". Though my Med Onco might not like it if I told him but I don't tell him everything and I need to lose some weight. Sheila is right about the medication. I think it makes us retain fluid, stay hungry and gain weight and alters our metabolism. Unless of course you are lucky and never have problems much to start with and have the will power of and iron man.
which I don't haha... so we shall see how it goes. For now good! Salads for 2 days, no sweets, and only proteins like chicken and vegetables. Been drinking water and diet sodas. Went to the mall and walked a lot today with my grandbaby and daughter. Rome wasn't built in a day and this weight won't come off in a week I know. I really am dreading going to the med onco on the 15th hoping he don't yell cause my weight it back up. Ugggh!
-
Im really starting to love this no Femara anymore.
I had company from canada and we ate good 3 nights in a row and drank beer.
If it was before Iwould've weighted at least 4 pounds more.
But the scale is only showing 1 pound more.

tomorrow i start my healthy eating again.

ELABSTERS!!!!!
Errant captain whizzing through & waving farewell.
Back from presenting in Louisville on Mon at national conference & yesterday & today in INDY.
We are in Columbus & fly to Chicago in the morning, from there to London and segway to Zurich. Then get a rental car and drive on to Germany. My first 2 Army bases are in Germany at the end of the week....... THEN we have to have a weekend in Venice, all to ourselves: LOL.
Then on thru Italy to 2 more Army bases and the big detour thru REGGIO EMILIA -- highlight reel to follow. This is all a sort of USO tour for the children of our troops, for Month-of-the-Young-Child celebrations.
Obviously the trip of a lifetime. I've never been in any of the 3 countries where we will spending time. **Oh, the second weekend to ourselves is in FLORENCE!!!!
I will attempt to have some common sense & schedule lots of walking....... and then 'start all over again' upon return to the bird house.
If someone can step up for the Hummers that would be awesome.
Much love to all, welcome to Kathleen, congrats to everyone staying accountable, setting realistic goals, accepting challenges & setbacks as natural to the process and incorporating new positive behaviors!!!!!
A trip to Europe: PRICELESS!!!!

Faithy - can you PM me with the hummingbirds spread sheet you use to keep track of low's, etc... I'll pick up the slack, but it won't be the same...
Have a FABULOUS time!!!
-
I've been walking in a small nature park the past two mornings. Real nice time of year and with the migratory birds coming through WI this week, the air is thick with sound. I love hearing a bird sing nearby then a response from farther away. What made me think of E-Labbers was the hammering sound of a woodpecker after a morsel. Imagine if we had to work that hard for food! The Earth is awakening after her long hibernation and the life force is readily apparent. Feel it, breathe it in, and send it to where your body needs it. I visualize my fat being melted and burned as fuel for my walks. May not help but it couldn't hurt, right? {{hugs}}
-
badger.....I really liked what you are visualizing like the snow, weight is melting too.

I need a new scale.
Anyone tried the scale that also measures your body fat? Do they really work?
Have a nice day Ladies.
((Meece))
-
Faith - Have the most wonderful of wonderful trips!!
(((((((((((((((Meece))))))))))))))))) Thinking of you.
And to all E-LABers - have a good week.
-
Have a great time faith!!
Sounds like a wonderful trip. Love Florence.
I feel the urge to send you to a great restaurant there. But it is not the place to eat less...
In any case if you get to IL LATINI I'm sure you will enjoy a great Tuscan meal with nice wine (again I'm being bad...).
Eat a little more and walk it off

-
A very late check in for the roadrunners. No computer to check in with... ugh had to wait until it was fixed.
Weight same = 1 point
Missed Friday check in = 0 points
Exercise = 6 points
Water = 7 (I really like this one because I'm always drinking water! it's like a bonus point)
Extra credit - made tons of cupcakes for a party and didn't eat any = 1 point
Total 15 points.
Faithie have a great trip and entertain those kiddies!
Welcome Kathleen to the group. Everyone has so much encouragement to give it's hard not to come back and be a part of this E-lab project.
-
I started back with my diet this week and so far so good. I am drinking my water and diet drinks, unsweetened tea, and black coffee. Salads with little or no fat free dressings, and lots of proteins. I did cheat once today
had no choice... went to a meeting for work and they served us lunch and it was pretty much eat what they had or starve. I had a slice of bacon spinach quiche and a salad... not too bad, the bad part was breakfast when I had a scone. Oh well, did great tonight. I am motivated to get this weight off and I'm praying that it comes off. Eating pork skins when I do get hungry as a snack for a protein. Amazingly it's not too often that I'm finding myself very hungry. Now I just have to find some time to fit in some actual walking besides all that I do at work up and down halls. LOL -
All I can say for myself this week is UGH!
Night all.
