Diane - my fan busted!!! No kidding! Laura (not Estepp - the other one) was using it and a piece broke off. Didn't think about it until I tried to use it again and the pin that holds the blades together was fastened on one side only.
But no worries - Laura - I got it FIXED! I went over to my coffee buddies house and her husband is a retired aerospace engineer so I asked him to fix it - didn't care what it looked like but to fix it and he did a great job - you would never know! Love having that husband around because I always go to him when I need something fixed. If I give it to my own husband it will sit there for weeks and even months before he gets around to it.
Diane - Thanks again for the bras! I now have fancy ones instead of ugly maternity bras. Where did you get those - what store? It is so hard to find nice pretty bras that are not padded and have no underwire.
Heymoose - you crack me up! thanks for showing me how to play the penny slots. I got up to $30 and then ended up cashing out at $15 before I headed to the airport. Love the mermaid penny slot machine now! Thanks to you I have my very first ankle bracelet!
Got to shower - more later.
-
JOURNEY....YOU MADE ME TEAR UP AGAIN!!!! URGH WHEN WILL THIS END? I JUST LOVE ALL OF YOU TATA SISTAS!!!
Jancie...I didn't get/give you enough hugs!!!!!!
-
Sylvia & Terry
It was great meeting you two Canadian gals. Sorry you had such a crappy flight home. We were stuck in the plane for over 2 hours on the tarmac before flying out - but what the heck didn't ruin all the fun we had all weekend.
Hope to see you both again next year - Love and hugs to all my new tata sisters - Saskie

Where are pictures being posted?
-
OOOOOPS - I ended up with both airport signs in my luggage. Last year's sign and this year's sign. Laura - I was in your room several times and totally forgot to give you back your frame from last year.
I guess once again this means I HAVE TO COME NEXT YEAR so I can collect next year's sign also.
-
I really want to thank everyone for the beautiful and heartwarming gifts. What a truly wonderful group of people you all are, thank you for allowing me to be a part of that.
Julie

LOL Jancie -- how could you NOT go again?
Journey -- LOVE the idea of speed dating/meeting! Perfect! That's JUST what we need that first night to be sure to hug and say hello to EVERYONE.
-
Greetings to the most FABULOUS, BEAUTIFUL, AMAZING, COURAGEOUS women I've ever met! I could not have imagined a more perfect weekend! My only regret is not chatting with everybody as much as I'd loved. I vote for "speed dating" next year, too!
No more can I say I'm "Val the Vegas Virgin!"
-
Speed dating is a great idea! Love it!!
Hope everyone is recovering well. You're the best!!

Meet & Speed Greet!!! The best idea ever!!!
It was hard to talk at the bars because the music was loud ~ although we somehow managed to shout at each other. The "dancers" could probably hear us ~~ Ha!!!
Am enjoying all of my wonderful memories over and over again. Everyone is SO beautiful and full of life and love. Stumbling on to BCO was the best thing that happened to me after this diagnosis.
Like Deborah's strategy of leaving her stuff behind for Laura to ship. Remind me to do that next year. I shopped too much (entirely Gisella and Marge's fault) and looked like a sherpa on the way to the lobby.
Was so happy to be with Val when she lost "it".
xo Colleen
-
I had an AMAZING time!! Let me just say I have a "baseline" for starting to work out. My legs are sore from walking and dancing. I LOVE it! Special THANKS to everyone who had part in the planning!!
I agree with the Meet & Greet for next year. LADIES!! I can't wait till next year!!
-
I have to say my favorite part of this get together was the piano bar. What a blast we all had there! I also agree to the speed dating that is a wonderful idea just to get to know everyone a bit better! Can't wait to next year! So glad I found this site and so many wonderful women.. Totally amazing.
-
Colleen - I really had to think hard to figure out your comment on Val and "losing it" - I thought....hmmmmmm was there some male action going on that I didn't know about or did Val "lose it" by shopping too much.
I know...I am dense sometimes - just like my boobies!
It was so great to meet and talk to the newbies this year. I am so hoping that you had enough fun that ya'll will come back again next year.
-
OK ladies, uploaded pictures in facebook for those of you that have an account. I will upload the pictures to packers website in Shutterfly tomorrow or sometime hopefully before the end of the week.
Colleen I do not take responsibility for the shopping, I was not confused and the "fashion expert" that works at The Loft.....LOL.
Have a great picture.

DITTO ON EVERYTHING MENTIONED-FEEL THE SAME WAY!!!! Jancie, I think it's cute that you got both signs-you have to come again next year-LOVE all your different hairstyles!!
Want to give a shout out to all for your concern over me...as it turns out, due to all the "FUN" we had, I ended up with Acute Bronchitis....But the trip was so worth it!!! I'm on Azithromycin for the next 6 days with a refill if not improvement with Prednisone for 3-4 weeks...ARGGGGGG!!! Just what I needed to help lose the weight to prepare for the next surgery... NOT!!!!! So...TA TA'S, since I hugged as many of you as I could-keep a check on yourselfs for me ...PLEASE
Much Love to all & experiencing withdrawls already!!! (((HUGS)))
360 GIVE OR TAKE DAYS TILL OUR 3RD REUNION WAHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Take care Chow XOXO Susie

I have been sick since I got home!!!Urrgghhh.. I have the worst sore throat and my ears are killing me.. Guess I am not the only one who is feeling down and out...I also think the trip was well worth it Suzie.
My next surgery is not scheduled till November 9.. I think I am going to look for a new PS though.. I really think I need fat grafting bad for this step-off that I hate so much.. My PS seems to think it looks natural. NOT!!!

Reading all this is so wonderful sisters !!!! You are all so GREAT!
I SO SO hope any newly DX woman, who is frantically surfing these threads to find any normalcy in her breast cancer journey she just began........ actually sees this thread and looks at it.. READS IT..... especially the last few days.......
If any newly DX woman IS reading this right now... KNOW that you ARE going to be ok... YOU CAN DO THIS..... just like WE ALL DID..... and YOU will start your own SISTERHOOD.... just like we did....... you will meet others here on BCO that help you so much... and believe it or not... a year from now..... you will be SO MUCH stronger than you are now..... and you WILL BE JUST LIKE US! A SURVIVOR !!!!!!!!!!!God Bless.
-
Elizabeth -- We sure had fun with your pink top hat!
-
Great picture Robin! It was indeed the life of the party (that hat).
-
YES... the pink HAT.... it is in SOOOOOOOOOOO many pictures.. WTG ELISABETH.. great idea!
-
Finally back home. I have to say that I came to BCO out of a desperate need for information, not necessarily companionship or friendship. I went to Las Vegas last year on a total whim not knowing what to expect.
This year I knew what I was in for and I found that I no longer think of all of you as blank faces and words on a page. I think of all of you as friends---essential friends. Amazing, wonderful, strong, beautiful friends.
To those of you who brought gifts, thank you for your kindness and generosity. To everyone, thank you for the gift of friendship. To the organizers, thank you for making it all possible. To Tracey-this was your brainchild and look what it turned into. It is because of you that we all had the opportunity to make new friendships.
OK ladies....midnight in Seattle. SOMEONE has got to go to bed!!
Love to you all
Tracy
-
Judy...you're too sweet! Love ya girl....
