Thanks everybody!!!
I'm thinking of Laura today! Hang in there girl!
OK...here's my update...my pulmonologist called a few minutes ago. She told me how she was not happy with the answer that the radiologist gave me as far as not being able to get a biopsy. SO she had another pulmonologist look at my films and he said that there was definitely something there to look at. He is wanting to do a bronchoscopy. I told her that I want to talk to my Onc first to get his opinion. SO I called his office and the nurse relayed the info to him...my onc is VERY excited that they can do this. SO I go in today at 4 to talk to this pulmonologist who will be doing the bronchoscopy and explain everything to me.
I am excited that I might be getting some answer.
Today is my bday and my kids are taking me to lunch so I need to get going here, but so much to take in.... In through the nose and out through the mouth..:-) HUGS everybody!!!

Jazzy!!! Well first - Happy Birthday!
As for the lung thing I am glad you are getting more action on getting an answer. Hang in there! I have had lung nodules we have been checking every 6 months since before I had BC. (So over 2 1/2 years now) Down to my "last" scan this summer. Always praying there are no changes but this last one had more nodules, but not many. ANYWAY, good that you are getting the biopsy and maybe this can put it to rest for you. Keep us posted.

So does anyone have the "Lose 25 lbs in 200 Days" diet that they can share with me?
Maybe I need to break it down to 1.25 lbs per day . . . . maybe it is the wine . . . maybe I won't be losing any weight after all . . .

Howdy sistas! I know, I know, I haven't been around in a LONG time. But I checked in on our Oct thread a week or so ago and have been reading here trying to catch up.
I am hoping to make it to Vegas this year. I PM'd Tracey to have her include me in the planning. Looking forward to catching up with you all!

Laura & Jazzy, were all on pins & needles with your results-Power prayers that all is well as it should be!!! Jazzy-Hap Hap Happy Birthday sweetie!! Glad you've got a grand day planned with family & then get some answer's.
I'm so sorry to hear about your Niece Jazzy & the sorrow of other sista's who had the same experience. Sending Prayers to her & the whole family. I was told at 6 weeks that I miscarried, found out at the 2 week follow up, it was a major piece of the plancita-a 1st time for them to ever see this & we still had our baby-Our Miracile Baby 0:) I'm RH Negitive and had the rogan shot at the appt.-I believe that is what saved Aurora. My pregancy wasn't normal by far-kinda like my journey now along, plus the delivery had a few twist's & turns as well( I was a 1st for alot of stuff)-So.... I count my blessing's....My Husband, Beautiful Daughter, wonderful family & Friends & YOU MY TA TA SISTA'S!!!!!!!!!!!
199 days to go.......Drink more water-I've read & heard that can help with Dieting-Now I need to apply it as well, just got back from my walk & feel refreshed!!
Love you all & big hugs of Love for all
Take care Chow XOXO Susie

MONA...GRETCHEN... HELLO! and girls.. SERIOUSLY... you are coming.. WONDERFUL!
It does not matter the beds we sleep in, it is the time we are awake ! I think that once we commit to come.... PM TRACEY.. tell her you are FOR SURE COMING... and she can put you in a room... and figure that part out. THen... Whomever you are in a room with... YOU ALL PM eachother and see who is going to use their CC to book the room. THEN.. you all can send the Money to the gal booking the room.... sometime before the Trip...:)... REMEMBER... it only matters that we are THERE....... NOT who we sleep with....:) I AM EXCITED!!!
Love to my BC friends! LJ.
PS... DIANAT needs our prayers right now. She will not ask for it. I will not tell her story.. but I ask you pray for her "special intention" ( I will say it is BIG....and BC related)
-
LOL... I just saw I typed so fast I signed....LJ.... my "personal life Siggy" LOL LOL
So sorry for the loss I read about.. and the other ladies who have lost children. I too could be added to the group. Prayers as I fall asleep for all women who have lost or will loose a child.
As Deborah Siggy says... " I knew you before you were born"
Any pro-life person knows this quote... There is comfort in this bible verse.. knowing our lost souls will be.. OK!
-
EHALL............. is coming.......... I JUST SAW THIS..... WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK... EHALL.. I am not sure you know who I am or anything.. but I remember your posts all the time I have been here... and loved them.. you have helped a lot of gals!!!!!
-
Lilah, it isnt me but Jazzy's niece...but I knew who you meant..JUDY
-
Oh gosh Judy you are right and I was having a ditz moment -- thank you
-
I can't beleive all of us that have lost a child...
my friend Kim lost a set of twins and I lost a baby between Kels and Jared
I went in for a ultrasound at 14 weeks taking Kels because I knew how well I could see her at 12 weeks and was shocked to find out I lost our baby
another one of those days I will never forget
weird to see if there is a connection.... : (
still praying for all my sisters that need it
-
Sandy.....are you thinking a connection to breast cancer? Maybe you should start a new Topic on this subject...just do a survey....
-
I lost one, too, not even a year after my first was born... I think it must happen so very often, but still it is so sad.
-
WOW you guys, my heart just aches for you!! BUT very interesting connection....hmmm
OK ...my bronchoscopy went very well!! I will get the results next Thurs.
I love these drugs! Time to relax and take a nap. More later.
HUGS! Jazzy
-
My doc said that it is very common to lose the first one..It was over 30 years ago for me, so I doubt there is a connection...He said the body knows when something is not right, and takes care of it...
-
Well, sad though it is, I think the loss of early pregnancies is not an indicator. I've never had kids... and my mom (who has never had BC and is in her 70s) miscarried her first pregnancy. I believe it is common to miscarry the first pregnancy... though I don't know the actual percentages I think it might be surprisingly high.
Lilah
-
I was actually the first female in my family to carry the first pregnancy to term; however, with my second child he was one of two and I miscarried his twin early on in the pregancy. Interesting connection...
Denise
-
So sorry to hear of all the miscarriages....so sad that alot of you have had to go through that pain.
Jazzy & Laura - Praying for your results to come back A-OK !
Deborah: I guess with those stats, it'll be a Viva Las Ta-Ta's tank top !
Meeting with some Montreal "sisters' on April 14th - who knows, we may recruit a couple more for Vegas!

Hi everyone. Well I have been tossing this trip back and forth. I am definitely coming, the thought of not being there is just not even an option. Now that being said I also have to have a tighter budget this time around. With a layoff in the family, several surgeries this year and the need to not go bankrupt lol....I have decided that I wont be staying at the hotel choosen for the group. I recieve many offers and discount codes for MGM properties and financially it makes so much more sense for us to stay at one of those hotels so I believe the winner is MGM Grand. Its close to you guys, especially with the monarail and definitely close to the piano bar lol. The total cost of the room for 3 nights, which is including all taxes and fees is 294.00, with lots of extra freebies added in, which is more affordable for us. I think its still workable. I think the most important thing is being there! Anyways just wanted to let you guys know.

Hi--Asking for prayers for friend, KA. Our mothers were best friends for nearly 40 years before my mom died of bc in 1986, well my moms friend passed last night, her daughter called me this morning. My friend needs strength, she herself is a bc survivor, single mom like me, her mom just died in her arms, as my mother did in mine, and her dad is in the hosptial. She and I have known each other since birth and we were both dx'd with bc, she a year before me.
Just some good thoughts and prayers for her would be really appreciated.
Hugs--Karen
