THE 2ND TA TAS SISTERHOOD REUNION IN VEGAS!!

I just saw that Judy suggested bringing bras for a bra swap on her bra swap thread but I don't see it mentioned here. I think it's a great idea. We could have a "bra host room" and a time for people to come see if there's anything they could use.

Have about 5 bras that are going straight into my suitcase. Can't wait!!! Sandy and I might drive so we have plenty of room for wine . . . . . . which room was the "vodka room"??
Better start saving my quarters. Am so looking forward to this. Think I will go buy another card for my camera as I have a feeling I will be reliving it for years to come through the photos!!!

Not sure how to add my name to the list but would love to join you - was just doing treatments when you went last time - Sylvia

Laura: I think I found your 8-9 lbs! They're resting comfortably on my backside....lol No offence but I'm going to try to get rid of them before Vegas. This menopause stuff stinks! I used to be able to get rid of 5 lbs in a couple of days. Now it takes me months!
Darn! I recently gave away about 25 bras split btwn my cousin and my niece. Had I known, I would have saved them for the swap!

Bra swap is a great idea.... JUDY... FILL US IN GIRL!
-
Everyone bring in bras that no longer fit (or NEVER fit) to give to anyone who fits them...The GREAT BRA SWAP. We can have a room designated for bra swapping, and everyone bring their bras there. I know some of us have bras with the tags still on that we never wore. It is OK if they are gently worn, only a few times. First Come, First served.... Sort of like a garage sale for bras -- only it's free to all (maybe a free-for-all!) LOL...
We could probably open a store! JUDY
-
Colleen - I am totally with you on the "vodka room" My drink of choice is Cape Cods.
Oh, don't worry about quarters - I only play nickle poker slot machines and I have a blast! I never make any money but neither do I lose any. I can play on $40 for at least 18 hours of play time and still have money left over.
But watch out for Traceyz - ummmm....shhhhhh......she won $100 on my money last year.

Good morning ladies:
Hope you are having a great weekend, I am still trying to come off the shock of my daughter getting dressed up for a dance with her dad and looking like she is 15 when she is only 11.
A couple of things. Last year I tried to coordinate all the bar outings and activities (other than the pink square) with the help of Steph and Tracey. Steph got us a deal at the Bellagio brunch, I think that was great and we should do it again. I know the Piano Bar and Coyote Ugly is a must this year. Coyote Ugly is a fun bar (ask Sandy and Packer girl) I was also able to get us some VIP seating for the Piano Bar and VIP entrance to the dance bar at Mirage. I will start working on some of that stuff once we get closer to the date. Any other activities that you think are good ideas, PM me and any help would be great. I will work with the Concierge of PH once we get closer to the date. I will also try to scope out some places when I go in May. I would suggest one night at old Vegas for a fun time.
I hope you guys have a great week.
Hugs

WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOO Viva Viva Las Las Vegas Vegas
Gisella, WOW & another WOW-You are so awesome in getting all these wonderful event's together for us & A big THANK YOU goes out to you & Tracy plus Steph and anyone else helping out!!!
Luna5-I'm so happy things fineally turned out ok for you. I was at odd's too with my Onc. regarding my reactions to Herceptin-he didn't think that was the cause till we took me off after only a few months & saw instant results on getting better plus taking pregnisone for a whole month-I'm the only one with this type of reactions so far that is recorded to my knowledge. I became crippled & ended up with more upper chest problems. As far as the infection's & your situation about the tooth-I had my teeth checked before starting the Chemo. & there was no issues like yours. I'm glad you did respond, never hurts to see if there might be something were missing. My Health Journey started before the Cancer & I had numerious MRSA break outs for a year & then 1/2 way thru this found out about the Cancer-It has been incredible to say the least-I've learned sooo much about many medical procedures that I never even dreamed of. Thank you for taking the time to tell us your story & sharing!! Hope to see you here again soon.
My Hernia has grown & I'm not a happy camper!!!!! Found a "Food" that I could keep down-I gain 5lbs from eating 6 lbs of chocolate covered marshmellows-GO FIGURE LOL LOL( Not in one sitting) Was sooo excxited about trying to do a free week at Curves-but not able to do any of the machines due to the hernia
Then the weather has gotten cold & I'm a wimp when it comes to walking outside with frost on the ground-must hide the rest of the marshmellows!! Ok-enough of my wah's
Love you girls & Can't wait to re-unite!!!
Take care Chow XOXO Susie

I just wrote a long post and lost it. Bummer -- so all I am going to say is that I can't wait to see everyone (new girls and the original ta tas). Let's just find a way to meet more often and ways that we can all chat and have a great time!
-
Great idea about the bra swap - at 3 wks out from the exchange I'm still buying bras that aren't working for me.
All lthe activities you are talking about sound fun to me - I've never been to LV, so I'm happy to follow along (and meet you lovely ladies!)
My fingers are still crossed for you, Jazzy. That is great news that your nodes look good.

Happy birthday Jazzy!
-
Thank you!
JAZ.. how young are you now????????????????????????????
-
200 days till the reunion? That seems like a future away! I hope to have all my menopause weight off by the trip!
Susie and Jazzy, I hope you both have a great week. Laura, good luck on the scan! Facecrafter, the bra exchange is a great idea! After my exchange I bought a few bras that unfortunatley no longer fit coz the swelling went down, darn it!
Ladies, this is a wild bunch! You have been warned, lol. I am a pretty quite person, but still had a lot of fun just watching all the craziness!!! You will never meet a nicer group of women!
-
200 days, doing the math to see if I can lose all the weight I want to by then...
Laura--Will be thinking of you tomorrow.
Janet--Happy Birthday---had the BEST time with you on Saturday. Sisters our Jazzy is a blast to spend time with, but the Vegas Sisters already know that!
Night!
Karen

Karen it was so much fun yesterday! We definitely need to play again soon!!!
Laura you are on my prayer list girl! also sending positive vibes your way!
Luna5!!!!!! I am SO EXCITED about your post. It sure makes sense for me!! I just had to have my root canal pulled about a month and half ago...a lot of infection. the dentist had to cut away a lot of bone too...this may explain all of my bouts with cellulitis! I googled root canal and cancer...WOW! I know I had had this infection for at least a year...right after I began chemo. I will continue to research this.
Anyway thanks for the birthday wishes, I will be 49 tomorrow. I'm hoping I will be able to move my rear end and lose weight so I will feel better about myself. I wish I liked my breasts too, but I'm beginning to feel like I'm just not supposed to have breasts. Here I go again whine whine whine. Yes I am very thankful to be ALIVE! Thanks Linda! :-)
I will get off of my pity party soap box...thanks for always being here girls!!!
Susie...please take it easy!!!
-
I haven't ben active on this thread, since I already live in Vegas! It would be great to hook up with y'all one night. My birthday is Oct 2nd, but will spend it with my hubby. I'll check in from time to time to see what you gals have planned.
By the way, I noticed someone asked..... the Paint the Square Pink event is September 25th.
-
Prayers are out now for you Laura... may there be nothing but good news.
And yep I too would so like to lose weight by the time I meet you all!
Kristinka -- love the new pic!
-
I just got word that my sweet niece just lost her baby. This was her first pregnancy. Please say a prayer for her sadness, healing and hope she will be able to have another.
Thank you sisters.
-
Oh no, that is so hard. I am sorry to hear about your niece. I too, lost my first one, but got pregnant soonafter and had a lovely baby boy. May she be comforted that she has another in her future. JUDY
-
Janet, I am so sorry :-(
my prayers are with your niece and her family.
I too lost my first pregnancy...I was about 6 weeks along....then it took me 10 years to get pregnant again...I even went to fertility doctors and then got DX with my 1st cancer. Doctors did not think it would be a good idea for me to be trying to get pregnant with this cancer even after my surgery and rads. I just left it in God's hands and 3 yrs after my rads I had a baby boy....my only child...our decision to have one. I had just turned 34 yrs old.
She will have another baby and don't think it will take long...I was just the exception..
(((prayers)))
Linda
-
Judy and Linda, bless your hearts. I'm sad you both had to experience such sadness, but what a wonderful joy to have your baby! My niece is 33.
-
Thanks Lilah
-
Jazzy - so sorry for the family loss. Sending healing prayers.
Okay Ladies - my friend Miss Linda has asked me about joining the reunion this year and guess what? I CAN COME!!! I am soo excited to finally have this experience and meet all you wonderful sisters. You old timers may remember that last year I had to back out because my son was going to be home on leave from the Airforce - so that was bitter sweet. This year, hopefully nothing will stop me!
I haven't been on the boards much lately, but I will be better about it now. Got lots of catching up to do! (And I really need to find a better picture!) - Gretchen
-
Hi Gretchen- yippee...So glad to finally meet everyone. -JUDY
-
Hi Judy! I'm looking forward to meeting everyone too, but I don't think I will be in your room after all. Think I missed that chance as it looks full now. Maybe someone else will have me, or I'll start my own room
